Do not buy - it is a scam. Dressed up online as a boutique store in Brighton having a closing down sale. Complete lies. These shoes for which I paid £45 have clearly come from China. Poorly made, buckles don’t work and the sizing is laughable. No way an adult could fit their feet into these things, it’s like they were made for the width of a child’s foot. No response when I attempted to get a refund. Cannot even give these away as they wouldn’t fit anyone. £45 and the only place I can put them is straight in the bin.

Do not buy from this company. The sandals are awful and they won’t give you a refund. They also have advertised as a British high street retailer but they are in fact a Chinese cheap company selling rubbish merchandise. I am still waiting for a refund

DO NOT BUY - One star is one star too many. Absolutely disgusted by this companies customer service and returns policy.
The shoes took two weeks to get to me, shocking poor quality and too big by at least one size.
They want me to keep them, why would I do that when they don’t fit 😡

I ordered some sandals and went through a very similar experience to other reviews here.
The sandals were extremely poor quality, didn’t fit my feet, and didn’t look like the photos.
Again eventually I was offered 40% refund or given a returns address in china.

I ordered two swimsuits, the same size. One was advertised as a bikini but was obviously going to be a one piece so I ordered it anyway. The two swimsuits eventually arrived after a long wait, one perfect, the other so small that I couldn't even get it on.
Getting a refund for the second one has proven a nightmare. The email responses were clearly written by AI. First they offered me a 15% refund and I could keep the item. When I pointed out there was no point paying 85% of the price to keep an item I could not use, they said they understood that and so would offer me a 25% refund as a gesture of good will!!!
They seem to trade under various different names. I have at least learned to research before buying off the Internet from a company I have not heard of.
Anyone want a wrongly-sized swimsuits that isn't a bikini?

Absolutely appalling. I ordered shoes several weeks ago, I chased the order several times, to be told despatch was about to happen. After the third time of emailing, I got a reply advising me the size I ordered was no longer available. They asked if I wanted a different size??? I said no thank you, a refund please. To which they replied it would have to referred to “their team” to approve the refund- wtf!! I still haven’t received a refund - appalling

My message to Harper Brighton customer service:

Dear Customer Service,
The order arrived yesterday and I am disappointed and want a refund for the following reasons:

1. The shoes are not the size that they say they are. Though supposedly a uk size 7 (which if true would be slightly too large for me), wear more like a size 5!? As such they are way too small.

2. The shoes are not made of the materials the product listing said. Cork is not cork- instead it’s some would chip infused silicon or something like that. And the suede is not leather but again a fake imitation. I photographed your website product listing as proof for my credit card company.

3. 3 day Royal Mail shipping was also untrue. Two weeks from China using an international courier and Evri!?

At £35 I expected a lot better than this.

Please refund my money, and if you want these fakes back please send shipping labels.

I will not accept refusal on this and will activate a charge back on my credit card so please action this immediately.

----- So far the response has been that they keep offering me a reduced refund and to keep the shoes due to international shipping issues. I keep saying no, I don't want the shoes. if I had simply bought the wrong size or changed my mind I might accept your offers but as I bought the right size and that they lied/misled/ me on sizing, product materials, company location and shipping details I will not accept any loss on this. After much frustrating back and forth I have no choice but to raise a dispute with my credit card company.

Beware, they are a Chinese company making out they are based in an English/Dutch High Street. The picture of the item I purchased is inaccurate and the sizing is very poor. The returns policy is rubbish. They are so typical of Chinese compaines, in as much as they try to get you to keep crap at 15% discount, this eventually goes up to 40%, if you do not accept this then it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to pay for return to China. Stay well clear please.

I should have read the reviews before buying. I thought I was ordering some proper clogs with leather uppers. Instead they were cheap and nasty plastic which look and smell horrible. Like others, I am struggling to get the promised refund and am currently being offered 25% of the cost and to keep the clogs, which would be binned anyway! DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

DO NOT ORDER!! I wish I'd checked the reviews! Chinese company, not from Brighton at all. The shoes are awful, cheap and definitely not as advertised. Currently trying to return but they want me to pay to send them to China by tracked delivery, I'm not wasting more money on sending them back when I probably wont even get the refund. Learn from my mistake and AVOID!

Poor communication, no confirmation of order or expected delivery date. When the shoes did arrive they were cheap, nasty and mis-shapen. Only way to request a refund is to contact via email and argue with them for a return address.

Despite the website appearing that this is a little boutique shop in Brighton, don’t be fooled, this is a chinese seller.

They refused to send us a pre-paid label to return the item. Our options were to paid £16 (cheapest i found) to return the item to china for a full refund, or accept a 40% refund without the need to return. We decided it was less hassle to cut our losses and accept the 40% after days of back and forth with them. We received £13 back off a £35 order and binned the shoes. They weren’t even fit to take to the charity shop.

Don’t waste your money on this shop or any of the other “lookalike” websites selling the same crap, they all come from the same Chinese warehouse.

Horrible cheap sandals. Took ages to arrive. When I asked for a refund they sent me email after email offering me discounts to keep them.
After 4 emails they told me I would have to ship them back to China and pay the shipping costs myself. No where on their website does it say that the customer had to do this. It is all set up to look like it is a UK based company. Absolute Scammers!
Hate them & will be telling everyone not to buy from them!

There goods are not British they are cheap, poorly made Chinese goods. The clogs I bought for £34.95 must have cost all of £2.00 to make and that is being generous. They are made of plastic and are the wrong size. I requested to send them back with a full refund with 30 day posted paid returns (which is a lie) as you have to pay it yourself (looked it up £10-£15) I have been offered 15%, 25% then 40% refund and to keep the clogs ! Which are nasty and don't fit ! Fit for the bin only, not even good enough to give away.

If I could give a zero rating, I would! Don't buy from this company, the shoes I bought were poor quality and did not fit. Having asked to return them for a full refund, I was first offered firstly 15% and then 25% of what I paid and told I could keep the pair of useless shoes. I will fight this, but I shouldn't have to. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Orthopaedic comfort clogs: they have cheap plastic tops; the stitching line across front mid section, joining patterned toe piece to broad upper section is so tight (and because it’s plastic - totally inflexible) that I can’t get my foot in. I wish I hadn’t bought them, and don’t believe that they are worth the ‘sale price’ of £34.95
Ordered on 10th May, delivered 27th. So the 4 to 7 days advertised didn’t hold up either. Lesson learned.

Item arrived and is very poor quality and damaged during transit

Poor quality sandals pretending to be White Mountain sandals but a much less quality item . Cheap quality . Like the last review offering me 10% then 25 % then 40% refunds claiming return shipping costs would be too expensive as the warehouse is overseas. The website says 100% refund or exchange within 30 days and that items are shipped from the uk . Extremely disappointed. I feel I’ve been scammed

Terrible. Bought some sandals, took ages to arrive, badly packaged, poor quality & sizing - toes hung over end. Tried to return they offered 15% refund & can keep sandals that don't fit. Then offered 25% - same terms saying high international return costs. Website says 30 days easy returns and 100% money back - no questions asked. I can't see anything about international returns or costs. Very disappointed and angry, seems like a total scam. See Consumer Protection Law 1979 - sale of good implied terms.
