I brought my mini to Halliwell Jones for its MOT. Even though it is more expensive than my local service centre, I chose them for the good service and valet they provided me in Chester. I had to go to Warrington for errands, so I chose there instead. I was told I would have a full valet after my MOT. When I went to collect my car there were mud stains all over the black trim above the tyres and along the sides of the car. The back seats had not been vacuumed and neither had the boot. The passanger window had a stain on the inside which I had to clean off in order to see through it while driving. I would say its polish spray but there was no evidence of it being polished at all inside. The windows were all dirty outside as well. I had to do a full clean again when I got home. I doubt I will be using Halliwell Jones in the future.

Poor customer service, sales consultant was extremely rude. Paid a deposit for a car that we were expecting to be turned around within two weeks , very little communication then when we said we wanted to cancel due to the length of time it was taking to get the car ready we were then told it had come in the night before. Still haven’t received my deposit back. It wasn't a good customer experience certainly wasn’t expected from an approved mini dealer.

Reserved car, next day expecting a call back to arrange viewing/payment...nothing...called 4 x times throughout the morning, no callback, only to find out on the 4th call that the car had already been sold!!
Its not the fact that the systems hadn't updated, its the fact that nobody gave 1 to call me back and apologise. So, reserve car....keep your fingers crossed, means absolutely NOTHING!!!
Off to another BMW dealer, cash in hand.

My wife's BMW was serviced by Halliwell Jones Chester 8 September and it was an excellent experience form beginning to end. Max Anderton was thoroughly professional, informative, courteous & friendly throughout. Couldn't be bettered.

I have recently bought a 2020 G21 3 Series M Sport Tourer from Halliwell Jones BMW Southport and received excellent service from the sales executive Dyllan O'Connor.
He has been totally professional from the outset and nothing has been too much trouble for him.
On the day of the handover he took time to ensure I was fully aware of what the controls were for, how the idrive worked etc.
I have bough cars from other BMW dealerships in the past and can honestly say this dealership and Dyllan are one of the best.

I have been using this dealer for over 20 years, and bought brand new cars from them, had regular servicing done and any issues with my vehicle and have always been good in the past. However in the last year I feel standard have slipped people don’t call you back, and the phone lines trying to get through are always busy and long wait ti get answered. Also my vehicle has been in a number of times with the same issue and they still can’t find a fault. Time to go ry a new dealership now.

Some of the worst customer service I have experienced (Halliwell Jones Warrington) no updates all day and received a quote at 4.30 after dropping the car off at 8am leaving no time for the repair after being told the repairs are usually same day. Constantly on hold and promised a call back that never comes. AVOID

Halliwell Jones BMW Southport - We have been looking to upgrade our car for a while and been to several garages but I have to say that Paul O'Leary at Southport BMW was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in our search. Highly recommended.

If we could give this dealership no stars we would. We have a BMW under warranty, no warning lights, topped up the water bottle - still not working. When we went into the dealership to request assistance with it, the attitude was ‘it was our fault’. When we pointed out that we had not touched the water bottle since purchasing the vehicle from a main BMW dealer, we were told ‘lots of people say that’, in effect they were calling us imbeciles or liars.

I have used Halliwell Jones (Wilmslow) for servicing of my BMW 5 series since I bought it in 2009 (from the previous dealership, Bluebell). I have had several disappointments with Halliwell Jones' service dept. since they took over the dealership from Bluebell but the latest experience has led to this review. I purchased an additional set of wheels with winter tyres from the dealership. At time of purchase, I paid an additional fee to secure an offer of storage and changeover free of charge for as long as I continued ownership of the vehicle. I have been told that due to a future move of premises, HJ will no longer store my wheels. As a result, they will no longer provide the offer/service which I paid for. They have refused to stand by our agreement or to offer any compensation for reneging, essentially a breach of contract. HJ will never see another penny of my money. Avoid!

I took my car to Halliwell Jones Southport for diagnostic and repair .
Abbey one of the service team was excellent. keeping me informed of progress and costs throughout.
Her thoughtful and considerate manner and approach was excellent.
I would highly reccomend this dealership to anyone looking for first class customer service.

Halliwell Jones BMW (Chester) - no 5 * Star Service Here!!

My car has been recalled due to 2 issues which BMW have said that they will fix, they want my car all day and do not want to offer me a curtesy car with the same insurance terms as I am on with my own car!

Instead the want me to pay to reduce the extortionate excess of £750.00 despite the reason for me needing this car being 'their cause'....

I have 1 car in my family
I have 2 children [ 1 who goes to nursey and the other who goes to school - so need to be able to get around via a car]

I have been told by them that EVERYONE has to pay the excess on a curtesy car because their cars are expensive and new, which for me is not acceptable...

I am not bothered what 'everyone' has to do, I am bothered that through no fault of my own, my car is being recalled meaning I do not have a car to use, I am being offered a car with an excess of £750 if there was any accident or prang in it... this is not acceptable.

So I am forced into paying for something that I do not agree with, in order to get my car repaired... When I explained my circumstances the girl I spoke with was really not interested and just repeated that this is for 'EVERYONE'.

I booked my BMW 525SE for a BMW recall at Halliwell Jones, Wilmslow. Brogan Wilson looked after me and arranged a courtesy car for the day. Each time I visited she was very pleasant and always sought to ensure that I was happy with the service I was receiving.

Will take your money but will not take responsibility.

Phoned twice for the parts department was told phone ringing but no answer. Receptionist said would phone back , they never did . Not calling back someone who wants to spend money with them is the worst customer service possible, there are other bmw dealers waiting to take my money won’t even bother with them again

Purchased an approved used 3 series last month. Used the online reservation system to reserve the car, according to the salesman this apparently doesn’t work or has some internal problem so didn’t count towards payment, OK but then it took 4 weeks and chasing up to have this money returned. On collection noticed that the interior had some damage and the tyres didn’t match but the car was a good price and had travelled 2 hrs to collect. On leaving the site the tyre pressure monitoring highlighted a fault within 5 miles, contacting the dealer they advised the tyre shouldn’t have passed the inspection as wasn’t a run flat. In agreement returned with the car a week later to have the tyre replaced and faulty tyre pressure monitor repaired. On arrival then advised the tyre may not be replaced and would be up-to the service department who signed off the approved used checks which evidently were not very thorough. Eventually left with tyre replaced and tyre pressure monitor working but poor communication of how this would be resolved. Also discovered poor body damage repair on driver door. Buying a used car can often have issues but clearly approved used checks had not been made very thoroughly and their online vehicle reservation system doesn’t work. They then offer follow up with no response to email sent to marketing email address pretty much sums up the experience, they couldn’t care less. Avoid.

Messed around by 2 halliwell jones bmw dealerships. Firstly drove over an hour to view a car that had been arranged with a sales advisor however when I got there the car wasn’t there even though the sales person knew I was coming and to be told the car wasn’t prepped. Secondly southport halliwell Jones - everything was fine until after I purchased a car - they didn’t sort the finance out on my car I’d part exchanged even though everything had supposedly been sorted when I left the car with them, I was contacted daily to ring my previous finance company each phone call being over an hour long - wasting about 4 hours of my time - manager said to me at halliwell jones “well if you don’t sort it you’ll have to pay the finance still” even though they’d already sold my car I’d part exchanged for 50% increase on the price they paid me for it! Also missing service history on the car which I asked for time and time again and was ignored. Car when collected was filthy and visually I could see dirt all over steering wheel and entertainment system buttons - during a pandemic this is even more so not acceptable! Was told why didn’t I just drive back? I can say Marc was really helpful but Keith the sales manager was extremely rude and dismissive of my concerns and complaints all in all ruining the enjoyment of me getting a new car - definitely won’t be returning or recommending to anyone!

Top class customer care delivered by Used Car Sales Executive Dyllan at Halliwell Jones Southport. The car was competitively priced, well prepared and the services I've received from start to finish were exceptional. Highly recommended.

Socking service from Halliwell Jones BMW Southport bought a pre-approved 3 year old car and after only 9 months refused to even look at my faults on the car without paying £130 assessment fee. This despite having a years warranty that is not worth the paper it was written on. BEWARE! back to a Porsche or Mercedes it is...
