It’s only been a week since I started using my rice water protein shampoo bar + protein hair mask and I can already tell the difference, my hair feels way stronger! Coming from someone who’s been dealing with recent hair loss, it’s such a relief finding a combo that actually made a difference in such a short time. I’m honestly obsessed and can’t wait to try all the other different bars!!!
Made in China. I was looking at their shampoo bars as I like to support local businesses and products made closer to home.
While browsing the website, I tried to find out where your bars are manufactured. It took me quite a while to find the information, and I eventually came across a FAQ stating that they are made in China.
To be honest, I was surprised. Based on their advertising and the fact that they present themselves as an Australian business, I had assumed the products were made in Australia.
I don't have an issue with products being made overseas, but I do think manufacturing location is important information that should be easier for customers to find. It would be much more transparent to include it on the product pages rather than in a FAQ. So, I have contacted the Commerce Commission and asked them to look into this.
As a customer, I would have appreciated knowing this upfront before spending time researching it.

Used the rice water shampoo hair went oily- was recommended by their staff the ginger soap and conditioner - stuck with hoping it would settle down but my hair was fizzy and fluffy- the worst thing is the ginger stung my eye so bad it felt like a burn- when I gave up on it i was past my return date - so a waste of money with cookie - like to know what's in their ingredients to hurt my eye so bad - will not recommend them or use them again

When you first reached out, you mentioned that the Rice Water Protein Shampoo was leaving your hair feeling oily. Because of that feedback, we recommended trying our Ginger Shampoo Bar instead, as it's one of our most popular bars for hair that tends to become oily and is designed to help balance oil production while adding volume. Our shampoo is not designed for eye contact, and this is due to the Sodium Coco Sulfate in this bar. While SCS is a low tox coconut-derived cleansing ingredient and is considered gentler than traditional harsh sulfates, it is still an active surfactant and can cause significant discomfort if it comes into contact with the eyes. Our Rice Water Protein Shampoo Bar is actually sulfate-free and was specifically formulated as our "no tears" option, making it our gentlest shampoo and the one we recommend for those with particularly sensitive scalps or eyes. We're also sorry to hear that you felt you were outside the return period before deciding the products weren't right for you. Hi Everyone. On recommendation from my daughter, I decided to order for the 1st time from Cooki Haircare. I ordered the ginger soap bar and conditioner. The next day I requested if possible can they swap the conditioner bar for another shampoo bar. They were quite obliging and said they will.
But a day or so later I got an email saying that there will be a hold up on dispatching my order as they are out of stock for the free bag and the wooden soap trays I ordered.
I replied back that I didn't care about the free bag and I just need the shampoo bar as I am keen to use it.
I got a reply saying ok. I still haven't received my order and after enquiring about it was told it's now ready to ship. For an Australian based company, the delivery should have been delivered by now. My daughter said hers arrived in good time. So far I cannot agree with her. I will let you know when it's delivered and if the product is good. Bye
