I wish I looked properly at negative reviews - worst medical experience of my life
Attending the gynae clinic after a panicked google search was a huge mistake that I paid for emotionally, physically and financially. I attended the clinic seeking a medical abortion which unfortunately ended up being a ectopic pregnancy. I knew something was off when I was scanned by someone who later described herself as a nurse still in training, alongside the consultant. Both had one hand on the probe, he was making comments like "now do it with confidence". I didn't consent to this nor was I informed that the nurse was trainee.
The consultation felt highly pressured and heavily about money - I felt like I was negotiating about my health and was offered deals for follow up services in an extremely vulnerable state. The atmosphere in the clinic was chaotic and unorganised, I was nearly charged wrongly twice and was stopped on my way to a blood test to make a payment. During a follow up blood test I was made to hold a needle in place and then was told it was "good training" as blood spurted down my arm when it was removed. I have never had that experience before with such a simple procedure.
I left the clinic feeling like I had been haggled - too afraid to say so incase of repercussions in follow up treatment. I was contacted by a consultant on Christmas Day twice via WhatsApp/video call, and another time in the days following - despite having blocked the WhatsApp number & being in NHS care at this point. This was hands down the worst medical experience I have ever had - and after months of back and fourth about a refund, the clinic have refused to take any accountability for their actions or send me any recordings that they have.
I am a young woman and I feel exhausted and so emotionally distressed by the experience. I wish I'd have looked harder at the bad reviews which all feel of a similar nature - and I wish I'd stayed with the NHS.

We acknowledge that early pregnancy complications, including suspected ectopic pregnancy, are clinically and emotionally challenging situations.
Without breaching confidentiality in a public forum, we wish to clarify the following:
• The nurse present during your ultrasound examination is a qualified and registered practitioner. She was becoming familiar with a new ultrasound machine under direct consultant supervision. The consultant remained present throughout and assumed control of the scan to ensure full diagnostic accuracy.
• You were advised that ectopic pregnancy was a clinical possibility and were strongly recommended to undergo appropriate blood testing and follow-up. Where financial concerns were expressed, reasonable adjustments were made to reduce costs while ensuring essential diagnostic investigations were completed in the interests of patient safety.
• You were contacted solely for the purpose of communicating clinically significant blood results and facilitating appropriate onward care. In circumstances where ectopic pregnancy is suspected, timely communication is a professional and clinical obligation.
We do not accept the suggestion that care was unsafe or inappropriate. The assessment, investigations and follow-up provided were clinically indicated and delivered in accordance with established professional standards.
Following a full review of the matter, we are satisfied that appropriate care was provided and therefore a refund is not applicable in these circumstances.
Your formal complaint was previously reviewed and responded to in detail.

From the lovely, caring staff and friendly, professional doctor, everything was explained to me clearly and all questions were answered, making my whole experience seamless and comfortable. The location is very convenient and discreet and they has very good availability too, so would highly recommend.

lack of compassion, all they care about is money
lack of compassion towards their patients, you can tell all they care about is money, very unprofessional and haven’t addressed any of my worries. They also lie (I was told a doctor was going to ‘email me’ after calling them about my treatment failure in tears), which also never happened. My friend had the same experience. I was diagnosed and payment taken from a receptionist far before i spoke to an actual doctor and they did not complete proper history taking which is why i am under the care of another doctor now. Will not recommend for anybody to go to this place.

Our findings confirm that a full doctor-led consultation was completed prior to treatment, during which your medical history was carefully reviewed, the treatment process was clearly explained, and the recognised risk of treatment failure was discussed. You were also provided with detailed written consultation notes and medical guidance following your appointment to support you throughout your care.
Medication was dispensed safely in accordance with clinical protocols, and further explanation was offered at the time. When you later contacted the clinic, our trained team provided appropriate medical advice, reassurance, and aftercare guidance in line with established clinical standards. We would also like to clarify that a follow-up email was not clinically indicated, as you had already been provided with detailed written consultation notes and treatment instructions. Repetition of the same information was therefore neither medically necessary nor part of standard clinical practice. For these reasons, we must respectfully challenge the suggestion that your care lacked professionalism, compassion, or appropriate clinical process. The Gynae Centre operates within strict regulatory frameworks, and patient safety, ethical practice, and consultant-led care remain our highest priorities. We do recognize that this type of treatment can be emotionally distressing, particularly when outcomes are uncertain, and it is never our intention for any patient to feel unsupported. Our clinic has built its reputation on delivering safe, attentive, and high-quality medical care, and feedback suggesting otherwise is taken extremely seriously.
