Unreliable Data, Poor Support, and Not Worth the Money
I’m extremely disappointed with Guava and can no longer recommend it. I originally spoke highly of this app and even considered sharing content about it, but my experience has completely changed. The biggest issue is accuracy. I’ve seen significant discrepancies in my health data, especially sleep tracking. For example, my Oura Ring and Apple Watch both showed 8+ hours of sleep, but Guava displayed around 5–6 hours and claimed the data came from my Apple Watch. That kind of inconsistency defeats the entire purpose of using a health app that’s supposed to consolidate and clarify my data. Now I’m dealing with another major issue: vaccine records. I uploaded a vaccines-only document in the correct format, and the vaccines still are not reflecting properly in the Vaccines section. This should have included years of immunization history — Influenza, DTP/Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis, COVID-19 Pfizer, Polio, Hepatitis A and B, HPV9, MMR, Tdap, TD, Varicella, and HIB — but the app failed to turn that clean record into usable structured data. If I have to manually enter every vaccine after uploading a dedicated vaccine list, then the app is not actually saving me time or organizing my records the way it advertises. At this point, Guava feels more like a document storage app than a reliable health management platform. It stores information, but it does not consistently translate it into accurate, usable health data. That is a serious problem for an app handling personal and family health information. I also contacted support and waited without receiving a timely response, which made the situation even more frustrating. When an app handles personal health information, accuracy and responsive support are not optional — they are essential. If data is wrong, missing, or not mapped correctly, users need fast help, not silence. At this point, I’ve lost trust in the app. I paid for a family plan expecting a reliable tool, but repeated inconsistencies have made it feel unreliable, frustrating, and not worth the money. I’ll be requesting a refund and no longer recommending Guava to family, friends, or followers. If you rely on accurate health data, especially from wearables like Oura or Apple Watch, or if you expect uploaded records like vaccine histories to actually populate your health profile correctly, I would be very cautious before paying for this app. In my experience, Guava has not delivered on its core promise.
