My 110 pound dog urinated on my sofa. Guardian sent a “tech” out for inspection tech stated foam/feather cushions needed to
be replaced. Could not be cleaned because of the feathers. Guardian denied claim because they only cover the fabric not the foam or feathers. The couch is slip covered so we were able to clean the slip covers with 100% success. This company is a full blown scam. Stay Away! Save your money!

They are aweful. The wood/hinge broke off and they denied claim saying it was not a specfic event. Like opening a door is not a specific event. The wording gives them a way out of any claim. Don’t waste your money

This is an updated review since my last one. Guardian gave us 2 solutions to our rocker/recliner saga. We took option 1 which was full price refund to the store to purchase a new chair. I never thought we would get any resolution. I'd like to think they got sick of me calling or sending e-mails on a regular basis. We have already picked out a new chair and delivery will be coming this weekend. I did e-mail them to thank them for a full refund. But, a new warranty, on the new chair, WAS NOT PURCHASED!!!!

A total scam!!! Furniture stores like American Freight will convince you to buy the plan claiming it "covers EVERYTHING!" That is total BS. Guardian never answers their phone or responds to emails. You have to get on chat and even then it's a waiting game until an associate "sees" your chat bubble and decides to answer. My couch frame has broken down and they've been giving me the freaking run around for OVER A MONTH now! This is ridiculous! Don't waste your time, energy, or money on these plans, and honestly reconsider any store pushing this "coverage" as they're obviously all in cahoots and getting a piece of the pie from helping Guardian scam you.

In real time on been on the phone with then for an hour. No one answers. I put my claim in 5 months ago. This is the worst company ever. I’m ready to flip out on bobs because they pushed it on me. They scammed me !!!

I love the wood polish. However, the furniture company that sells their customers this product should know there is a warning regarding cancer. Why would this product be sold or distributed if there is a warning of harm? I was looking to order a leather polish since the furniture store doesn't and they recommended I reach out and until I saw this....Very disheartening.

I think they are a scam. I purchased furniture and got the protection plan for all of it. My daughter wood bed frame broke and it clearly says it is covered in the plan. But, because I couldn't give specifics about what happened and I have ethics and values to not lie, they would not cover the frame break. And I've called and chosen the option for a call back, I never received that call. I'm currently on just waiting for someone to pick up and answer, it's been over 30 minutes so far.

This company is truly a scam. One of my recliners in my sectional, stopped working. I haven't been able to bring the recliner in the up right position for 2yrs. I have made several claims and there has been no response. I am forced now to either buy another piece or if I can, have the motor on the recliner fixed out of my own pocket.

I wish I could give this company a Zero star! This company does NOT COVER THINGS THAT GO WRONG WITH YOUR FURNITURE LIKE THEY SAY that they do. I purchased a sectional from rooms to go 3 years ago and within the timeframe of my warranty I reported damages to my swivel chair because the spring popped and I had a rip causing the chair to dip down in the middle they denied that claim then my ottoman had a stain they approved it. I go into the store not only is the ottoman not available anymore but I have to choose something else and was only given $190 to replace it and if I didn’t find something then it would be a store credit with them coming to pick up the old ottoman from my house. The ottomans that I was seeing were much smaller and $300 or better so basically they want me to spend more money to get an ottoman or a total different color or they will give me a store credit. So here I am stuck between a rock and a hard place because I don’t feel like I should have to add more money when I paid more than $190 for the ottoman. When you purchase your furniture the customer need to be told the truth which is basically do not purchase the protection plan because it’s only made to protect the company NOT THE CUSTOMER!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE THIS PLAN. Y’all are ripping people off and that’s not a good way of doing business. That’s a quick way to be put out of business.

They refused to cover my claim because the remote controller on our reclining couch randomly stopped working without any rhyme or reason. Tell me why, if you purchase a Warranty from a company claiming to service and repair broken mechanisms, something like repairing a broken remote control would not be included? Don't waste your money on this. COMPLETE SCAM AND WORTHLESS!! The customer service rep at The Room Place assured us that the remotes and reclining mechanisms would be covered under this Warranty. Why are they not being covered now? Where is the disconnect?

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! SCAM!! SCAM!!! They do everything in their power not to approve a claim. I wished I searched the company before purchasing a warranty with them. Look at all of the complaints and unsatisfied customers. BBB please take action and put this fraudulent company out of business. I purchased a 2 piece sectional and got a 5 yr warranty to cover accidental rips, tears, cuts, burns and stains. Shortly after delivery I noticed a zipper on a cushion was busted/ripped. Being that I just got the furniture and had the warranty I figured no big deal. As time went on more damage occurred to the sectional. During my recent move, part of the sectional got ripped. I filed a claim thinking within time I'll have my replacement. WRONG!! I had to go back and forth with this company for months, just to have my claim processed. I sent everything they asked for in order for my claim to be processed and they kept saying they never received the info. After sending all information that was requested for a 3rd time, It was denied. Stating because I was unaware of how the damaged happened. NOT TRUE!!! So I called customer service. The lady gave me all kind of excuses why my claim was denied. First they claimed the busted/ripped zipper cushion isn't covered, then it was because I expected the damage was during delivery ( false I said I noticed after delivery) then it was because my warranty only covers consumer accidental rips ( warranty doesn't state that, but it was a consumer accidental rip) once I explained how the damage happened and made it clear. I was then placed on a hold, when she retuned I was told the warranty doesn't cover rips that happen when the furniture is being moved. Complete BS. It didn't matter what I said, my claim wasn't going to be approved. It's a shame that companies like this is allowed to operate. BBB lets end this scam, put this company out of business. After seeing all of the people they have done wrong. I won't rest until I get results. This company needs to be held accountable.

I bought furniture from Bob's furniture about 4 yrs ago. at that time store offered me 5 years protection plan for about $150. my furniture got damaged a couple of months ago and I contacted Bob's regarding my damage and they transfer my call to the guardian so I spoke with the guardian customer service representative and He said you are not eligible. he literally said NO. I wish he about says something eg; we will send you a technician to repair. I was not even asking for a new replacement or a full refund. my question is why do you offer such a shi**** plan if you can't make it happen? please refund my $150 bucks with 4 years' interest. you should not Robb. poor people like me, it's a shame. this is my most ridiculous investment ever. this is the worst experience ever of my life. I am just *** off, no words

After months of trying to get service on our furniture,
this company, Guardian told us that none of the issues fall under their protection plan. I plan on pursuing
this issue, it's fraudulent what they are doing. Basic Bait and Switch.

Terrible!! Was on hold on the phone for 50 mins I just hung up.. I’ve been waiting 16 days for a reply on my claim until they randomly closed it and said they can’t fix it when they didn’t even try to! Completely worthless company don’t do business with this company they are the worst customer service I have ever experienced

I purchased a recliner about two years ago from Bob's Furniture and along with it purchased the goof proof insurance for peace of mind. I was made to understand that it covered accidental damage to the product. Several weeks ago, the button that controls the reclining mechanism stopped working, likely due to the button being pressed too hard. This is a pretty textbook example of what the insurance is for. I filed a claim within 24 hours online and was told to expect a response within 3 days. I did not hear back for 2 1/2 weeks. When I did get a response, I was told that my claim was denied because while the damage occurred due to an accident, the accident occurred during proper use of the reclining button (what?). This company operates in bad faith not dissimilar to the insurance company in the book/movie Rainmaker. They automatically deny every claim knowing that suckers such as myself have no real way to fight back short of hiring an attorney and filing a claim. As you will see below this, they will provide a canned response saying that they are sorry, without any real alternative solution because they know that they can continue to survive as a company by paying their employees and attorneys without actually providing repairs/replacements for the products that they insure.

I would rate them with NEGATIVE STARS. Scammer and cheaters. They will not fix/cover your furniture. Sounds like a good deal, but trust me, it is not.
Do NOT, under any circumstances, buy this warranty!
Worst customer service. I spent literally hours on the phone and solved nothing.
Your time and sanity are worth far more.

Seam to think that bad workmanship and poor manufacturing is not their problem and they only deal with accidental problems

Found 3 or 4 "bubbles" on my 2 year old dining room table. Tried to wipe off what looked like food that had spilled on the table and this caused the "bubbles" to come off to expose the bare wood.

The Room Place has some beautiful furniture, but DO NOT FALL FOR THE BOGUS PROTECTION PLAN that they offer! Guardian Protection Products should be put out of business!!

Seam in my couch started to come apart due to normal wear and tear after 1.5 years. They will not cover this.
