Experience at Growthspree
I had a really meaningful stint at GrowthSpree. I joined as an intern and, over time, got the chance to build and lead the DB/prospecting team, which was a big part of my learning curve. The level of ownership you get early on is one of the strongest aspects of working here.
The founders are approachable and open to discussions, and I always felt comfortable sharing what I wanted to work on or where I saw myself growing. The team is supportive, and there’s a strong bias toward execution and getting things done.
In later years, I realized my interests were shifting more toward strategic work, things like ICP clarity, outbound planning, and designing how systems and teams operate rather than purely execution-focused roles. At GrowthSpree, the DB function is largely a support role to ABM, so there’s limited scope to grow gradually towards an end-to-end ownership of a strategy.
To their credit, the founders were open to this conversation. Over the last few months, I had the chance to work more closely on GTM-related tasks, but much of it leaned toward supporting content research, Event planning, SalesOps, Product management, and Growth strategy, which I realized isn’t where I add the most value.
So my decision to move on wasn’t about anything negative; it was more about finding a role that aligns better with my strengths and where I can contribute more meaningfully.
Overall, it’s a great place if you want to learn fast, take ownership early, and build strong execution skills in a high-paced environment.
