Grant A Smile CIC provides trauma-informed decluttering, organising, deep cleaning and specialist cleaning support for individuals, families, housing providers, local authorities and community partners. We work with people affected by hoarding, mental health challenges, trauma, disability, bereavement, overwhelm and complex home environments. Our services are practical, compassionate and dignity-led. We support clients in sorting items into what they would like to keep, donate, recycle, or dispose of, and we never remove anything without consent. Our team works alongside the client wherever possible, helping them feel reassured, respected and in control of the process. We provide paid services across London, Essex and surrounding areas, with some free or subsidised support available for eligible individuals within our catchment area. Referrals can be made by individuals, family members, churches, social workers, housing associations, local authorities and other professionals. We are pioneers in trauma-informed decluttering, organising and deep cleaning, offering a non-judgemental service for people who may feel overwhelmed, ashamed or unable to manage their home environment alone. We believe everyone deserves a safe, clean, and liveable home, regardless of their circumstances.

I am a person who is deeply struggling…

I am a person who is deeply struggling with the recent loss of my Mother who was looking after me. I am suffering with mental health and physical health problems and I need help with decluttering the home. I am unfortunately only on benefits and dont have much money. I did a google search for FREE help from charities but this company came up. I just want to clarify this company does NOT offer free help to me, based in London Borough of Harrow, they are a total rip off merchant they wanted to charge me a min. 390£ a day which is complete scam. They should NOT advertise as providing free help;at least make it clear they dont - its just another load of greedy people trying to profiteer from vulnerable people Their advert is MISLEADING and MISREPRESENTATION. I would avoid. I can only speak for my experience with them of course. I think it might be up to them to contact google also and stop the company coming up when people ask for FREE help - charitable work. And please other people dont try and mock my comments or downgrade my experience as not real! Go bother someone else if you enjoy harassing people.

One Day That Made Such a Difference

I had Katie and Donna, and they were absolutely amazing! They were so trustworthy — they even found money in my home and returned it to me, which really says a lot about their honesty and integrity.

They helped me get myself organised in just one day, something I hadn’t been able to do for two years! It is a big investment, but the reward is even greater. I can’t believe what was achieved in oneday!

If you’re struggling and want help from people you can truly trust, I would highly recommend Grant a smile. Book now and thank yourself later! 💕

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding service from start to finish!

I recently hired Grant a Smile CIC for decluttering, deep cleaning, and organising, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From my very first enquiry, the team was professional, friendly, and genuinely attentive to what I needed.

They tackled the decluttering with real care and patience, helping me let go of things I didn't need without ever feeling rushed or judged. The deep clean that followed was thorough; every corner, surface, and hidden spot was spotless. And the organising afterwards completely transformed how my space functions; everything now has a proper place, and it's made my day-to-day so much easier.

What really stood out was their customer service. Communication was clear and prompt throughout, and the whole team clearly took pride in their work. It's rare to find a company this reliable and this good at what they do.

I'd recommend Grant a Smile CIC without hesitation to anyone needing decluttering, deep cleaning, or organising services. Truly impeccable from beginning to end,five stars well deserved!

I couldn’t recommend Grant a Smile enough. The work they do is truly amazing, and it’s clear that they genuinely care about making a positive difference in people’s lives. Everyone I’ve dealt with has been kind, professional and incredibly helpful.

It’s great to see, putting so much heart and effort into helping others. Keep up the fantastic work please we need people like you in this mad world, Grant a Smile — you really do make a difference! ❤️

First, the company omitted to include VAT in their quote.

Secondly, they wanted 100% payment up front which I've never experienced from any company or business before.

Third, I did not feel they were sufficiently transparent or up front regarding their terms and conditions, which they did not provide.

I understand that we responded to your enquiry the same day with the accurate cost for 2 staff members for one day, and confirmed this based on the photos you had provided on the 26th July.
This was confirmed on the 29th that it would be the day rate plus VAT. I also understand that we did not include the VAT on our first invoice provided, and so waived the VAT cost for you.

Just to explain our pricing, we are not a standard cleaning company. Our service is a specialist trauma-informed decluttering and deep cleaning service, designed for properties that require much more than a surface clean.

Our day rate covers:
A team of trained specialists rather than a single cleaner.
Up to 14 combined working hours per day.
Deep cleaning to professional standards, not just cosmetic cleaning.
Decluttering, organising and decision-making support where required.
Safe handling of biohazard risks where present.
Specialist equipment, commercial-grade products, insurance and waste management expertise.

Many standard cleaning companies charge less because they are providing routine domestic cleaning. We provide a completely different level of service, often working with clients affected by hoarding, poor mental health, disability, bereavement or severe neglect, where the work is significantly more complex and physically demanding.

Due to difficulties in the past, we require payment upfront to confirm bookings.

I understand that yesterday you were still looking to book in based on the waived VAT, flat day rate, and date you confirmed with us. If you still need tailored and compassionate support, please reach out, and we would be happy to help.
