From first speaking to Hazel and then meeting Philip, we were impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. We wanted the wooden worktops we had inherited to be covered with granite overlays and we can't stress enough how thrilled we are with the finished product. Measuring up, making the template, and then watching the guys work their magic to transform our kitchen in a day was really impressive. The craftsmanship is superb, and we absolutely love it. The guys worked so hard and left the kitchen clean and tidy. We would have no hesitation in recommending Granite Transformations - Tees Valley. Philip and his team are true professionals.

From start to finish everyone was extremely professional and very helpful. Installation was arranged for when convenient for me. The two lads were very polite and extremely hard working completing work within the day and left no rubbish or mess. I am highly delighted with my new worktops - my kitchen is truly transformed. I highly recommend this company.

From start to finish our kitchen renovation couldn't have been better. Philip measured up, gave us a price and from there everything went smoothly. Lovely Hazel kept us informed on when the work would take place, and the lads who did the fitting were excellent. They did a fab job, were very friendly and courteous, and very tidy. We now have new granite overlay worktops, beautiful! And new blue cupboard doors, gorgeous! I found this company online, quite by chance, and I'm so glad I did! We have had this company before to cover our worktops and it’s one of the most amazing products I have seen absolutely stunning, so we got them back to fit up stands and backsplash to match existing worktops, very professional service and fast fantastic job it has transformed our kitchen we would recommend this company highly.

Very good experience. We were given lots of information and time so we could choose with confidence. We chose a new worktop, sink, hob and oven. All fitted in one day with no mess. Really happy with the results. Highly recommend.

They were efficient, helpful, professional. Finished kitchen refurb looks amazing and we are very happy with it. Can only recommend very highly.

Good Job eventually but wouldn’t recommend or use again.
Whilst the finished job is a good result ( probably 5 star) the actual experience in getting there has been a nightmare. Indeed before leaving this review I arranged a meeting with Philip to discuss all the issues we had experienced and whilst he continually recognises the issues and apologises it doesn’t make up for the stress caused and he is clueless in sorting effective remedies other than “we will try to improve next time!”
Whilst Philip initially made appointments to measure up ,after that ,despite being requested not to he would just turn up at ad -hoc like Mr Benn of the children’s cartoon. This usually occurred whilst I was out and my partner was alone working from home. He displayed no empathy with other people’s work or circumstances. The project was planned to span Christmas which was no issue as we were away but took longer and required more days on site ( and disruption to us ) than it should have done due to delayed deliveries and missing parts however ( “we will come back next week to fit handles as they have sent the wrong ones, those panels and boards are missing “) Philip also ordered the wrong tap which despite being replaced , still has a ridiculously slow flow rate on the hot tap, indeed around a 1/3rd the rate of our previous one but Philip blames our water system. When asked what our options were he said you can just accept it or re-fit the old tap! Unreal and unbelievable attitude and advice . I advised we had ordered the one on his recommendation and purchased via him as oppose to getting one locally but today at our meeting he admitted he knows very little about taps. ( Dean , who fitted the actual kitchen and tap had told us when he fitted the original tap they had issues previously with the model and advised Philip not to use these taps) If you decide to use this company I suggest you source your own appliances. ( I am so pleased we didn’t order the cooker ,hob, extractor and fridge via him as his ability to sort out issues is questionable)

To fit the new gas hob Philip arranged a gas fitter who delayed the install as his car was off the road for five days and despite being offered a lift didn’t turn out. Philip then arranged another company who whilst testing the gas system turned off the central heating and couldn’t re-light it eventually re lighting using a blow torch to light the pilot light. When our timer switched the CH off it wouldn’t relight and fitter wouldn’t come back until Monday LEAVING US WITHOUT HEATING OR HOT WATER FOR THREE DAYS in the really cold snap ( minus 8 degrees ) in December 2023. He didn’t show again on Monday morning , said he would be there Monday afternoon and again didn’t show. As we had no heating or hot water I arranged a local gas fitter from Billingham who came out after hours and eventually identified ( whilst I was watching ) that the previous fitter had dismantled the ignition and put it back together incorrectly. After being corrected it lit first time and we have had no issues since.
In order to fit the hob Philip suggested our gas fitter came back whilst his people were on site. Twice we arranged this with the second time frantic phone calls between my partner , myself , Hazel (whose telephone response is always professional and helpful) and Philip’s answer phone as the gas fitter was here as arranged on site prior to going to an appointment in Manchester …..whilst Philip and his team were no shows. When Philip finally responded ( no doubt after Hazel chased him) he claimed he thought the time we arranged was a window until I got him to look at the text confirmations for time. ( who would arrange a time “window” for a gas fitter to be stood around waiting for people to arrive ?)
Further issue was Philip’s ability to co-ordinate with the Tiler “Steve” who actually was first class and very professional.
Steve highlighted the cornice had been fitted to the kitchen cupboards and it was normally fitted after the tiling to get the best finish. Whilst Philip immediately agreed to return to re-fit the cornice which was now for Steve to remove why was this not discussed or advised prior to the tiler highlighting it? Philip advised it was his fitters fault as they had gone ahead and installed it but again this was never highlighted until we raised the issue.
To fit the cornice and re-fit the second tap ( still not working correctly )the fitters returned late January and were on site just short of a full day. Whilst Philip obviously didn’t charge extra for his mistakes he has no comprehension , awareness or apologies for using other people’s time or commitments.
In Summary.
A good finish eventually completed but wouldn’t recommend or use again.

We just had our work tops replaced with an overlay it looks fantastic I think it was Sean who fitted them he did an excellent job would recommed granite transformations Tees valley to anyone well worth the money service was great from calling Hazel getting template done sorry can't remember the lads name but he was great and meeting Phil .Carol and Ian Mcgrath.

Superb service from the very first contact. Phillip came out and gave a quote without being pushy at all. Explained everything clearly. Within a couple of weeks he returned to make templates for the worktop covering. Fitting was done yesterday, and the fitter was fantastic. Went the extra mile to get a superb finish. New worktops, new sink and taps, induction hob and oven. All fitted in one day, incredible. Can't recommend the company strongly enough. Top job.

Last week we had installed granite overlay worktops. We are extremely happy with the result and the whole process from beginning to completion. They are a very professional company, the work was completed in the advised timescale, installation took only one day and was done by two very hardworking young men, leaving no mess. I would not hesitate to recommend Granite Transformations Tees Valley.

From contacting the company for a quote to the installation everything went very smoothly.In one day the fitters completed the installation of new worktops which have made the kitchen much brighter and more up to date.

I had worktops and sink fitted and my kitchen looks like new! Excellent service from start to finish , very efficient in all respects.
