Well worth the money

Furniture we have recieved 3 seater and 2 seater settees are well made. Good choice of colours and very comfortable.

Not happy with the armchairs 2years old…

Not happy with the armchairs 2years old and the seat has become very soft and I think it has shrunk.

The seat interiors do soften over time with use. We recommend regular plumping and reversible cushions should be turned to minimize wear and tear.

Expensive product but poor quality

Bought 3 piece sofa electric recliner & chair, chair especially has not worn well & arms are not good with one zip that holds arm to chair has disintegrated.

Went back to the retailer who acted on my behalf & contacted G Plan who said they would supply at £120 each as need two to match (£240) as over the 2 year warranty, I won’t be giving them more money, spent thousands & quality dreadful.

I contacted G plan customer service as…

I contacted G plan customer service as I was trying to find a replacement part for my recliner sofa. They were very helpful. They informed me how long it would take to arrive & waived payment for the part.
I found it very good customer service.

Andersons of Inverurie were great

Andersons of Inverurie were great, very helpful gave great advice about the furniture took our order ,kept us up to date with order. The guys that delivered our furniture were on time very polite and placed the furniture where we wanted it,showed me how to use the recliners,took all packing material with them. Would definitely go to Andersons again.Quick and easy to register our furniture.

STILL Awfully Terrible Service - Avoid!!!

Lovely products, but after waiting 6 weeks for our two new sofas we were left disappointed by G-Plans service. They supplied the power recliner without any electrics or controls. So it was taken away. Then you would expect the company would have perhaps pulled out a few stops to quickly remedy their mistakes. But this is not the case as we are back in the queue waiting for put sofa again. So I am scoring them low on service.

Update 05 Jun 25-redelivery was forecast to be 4 weeks. But informed today it will now be closer to 8 due to factory shutting for summer holidays. So I have now dropped my rating to one star. As that will put my waiting time up to near 14 weeks, as opposed to the original 6 weeks. Very poor service in my opinion.

Update 18 Jun 25 - after several emails to customer service I have finally been told my outstanding sofa is delayed because they can't obtain the fabric. So I am now left wondering if they will be able to fulfill my order in full at all. I will add that I literally had to pry this information out of them - I guess because they are rightly embarrassed.

11 July 25 update - had to chase for an update as I had been told the sofa should be ready as w/c 07 July. Surprise, surprise, not remotely near ready as they still don't have the fabric. Now they are forecasting delivery of the fabric 18 Aug, and the sofa to be with the retailer 25 Aug 25. I can't say I am in the slightest bit optimistic that G-Plan will be able to meet this latest forecast. After all they have missed all the previous ones - expectations couldn't be lower at this point...

Well 27 Aug and I finally took delivery of the outstanding sofa. Can't say it has been a pleasant experience at all. Very poor communication throughout, I have had to chase at every step. Information has at times been treated like a state secret, leaving me in the dark. I have had numerous platitudes and excuses - but at the end of the day G-Plan messed up, but it is I that have had to waste a considerable amount of time and energy chasing something that, realistically, they or my retailer should have been on top of. Yet despite that I have not been offered anything to tangible to compensate for this. Which all things considered is pretty poor when you are spending the best part of £7k.

So all things considered, I would never ever repeat a purchase of G Plan products again.

Peeling leather

I’ve had my suite 2 chairs and a footstool 1 year 10 months. About a year ago the footstool started to peel at the side which had nothing to wear it. It was repaired. Them about a month ago the chair peeled on the seat. Again it was repaired however I was told it was a goodwill gesture. The suite gets light use as there is only my husband and I. I have cared for it according to instructions but it has now started to peel in many areas. The insurance won’t cover the claim because it’s not a stain or accidental damage. So now what? I am left with a peeling £9000 suite that no one wants to know about. I can’t afford another. So much for trying to buy good quality.

We’re pleased to hear that the initial repairs were carried out, including one as a gesture of goodwill, as we always aim to support our customers where we can. As part of our commitment to transparency, our one-year warranty on upholstery and hide is made clear at the point of sale, and issues beyond that period do fall outside the standard coverage. That said, it's important to us that concerns like yours are acknowledged respectfully and with care.

While it’s unusual for our upholstery to develop peeling, especially with light use, we can’t determine the exact cause without a detailed inspection. In some rare cases, the use of certain cleaning products or environmental factors can contribute to deterioration, but we don't want to make assumptions and understand this may not be relevant in your case.

We’re very sorry that the outcome hasn’t met your expectations, and thank you again for your feedback as it helps us improve, and we genuinely regret the distress this situation has caused.

Nothing gets done unless you chase several times

We have an elevate arm chair for my disabled mum. The remote stopped working in EARLY APRIL, we rang and they said someone would contact us to make an appointment to come and look at it. Two weeks went by with not a word. I had to chase and only then did they make an appointment which took another 2 weeks. The engineer came just to look at the chair and confirm the remote was broken and another one would be sent out. A week's gone by and no remote so I had to chase again today and was told one hadn't even been sent out yet but she'd arrange for one and it'll arrive on the 9TH JUNE. I've paid over £1000 for this chair and have kept having to chase for anything to be done! Why wasn't the remote sent out last week when the engineer came? Why will it take another 3 weeks to arrive? My mother depends on this chair to get around but this company don't seem to be fussed about getting things done on time. I am disgusted at the service I've received and do not recommend.

Thank you for your feedback. We're incredibly sorry to hear how frustrating this experience has been, especially given the importance of the chair to your mum’s daily comfort and mobility.

We’d like to clarify that, typically, all service queries are handled through the retailer of purchase. However, after receiving your call on April 22nd, it was clear how urgent the matter was, and our customer service team asked if we could handle it directly to help speed things up. We agreed to do so in order to provide the quickest resolution possible.

A technician was appointed the same day, although we regret that they didn’t make contact with you as promptly as expected. While a two-week wait for an appointment is within the usual timeframe due to technician availability, we understand how important a faster resolution felt in this case.

Regarding the replacement remote, initially, we didn’t send it out immediately because we weren’t certain of the fault and needed confirmation from the technician. In hindsight, we acknowledge that we could have sent it proactively and we apologise that we didn't. Once the issue was confirmed, we advised that the estimated lead time for the part was June 9th, though we also noted we would do everything we could to secure it sooner. The good news is that I can see we managed to ship the parts to you on the 22nd May.

We have contacted the technician who visited your property to advise the required part should have been safely received by now, and asked him to book in a follow-up appointment as soon as possible.

We understand how it may feel like nothing was happening without your follow-ups, but please be assured that we’ve been working behind the scenes to resolve this as quickly as possible. We’re truly sorry for the inconvenience and distress this situation has caused you and your family, and we remain committed to resolving it as soon as we can.

Furniture Village Staff very helpful…

Furniture Village Staff very helpful and the ordering process was straightforward. The two sofas were delivered inside the proposed delivery time and the delivery team were very good and had assembled the furniture in about 20minutes. They were very tidy and took all the packaging with them. GPlan products promised to be good in all we had seen before delivery and having used them for a week or two they live up to expectations. Hopefully this will continue.

So disappointed with g plan settee which I bought for my sister's 70th birthday within 2 years the seats were sagging g plan or SCS didn't want to know

Not so much G Plan

Not so much G Plan, although my purchase is not as good quality as my last sofa, could do with more padding in cushions. (Although I have been told the cushion will plump up in about 6 weeks time)
Terrible after service by Barker and Stone house, every thing splendid, until they've got your money.

Unfortunately a couple of the screws…

Unfortunately a couple of the screws supporting the unfolding bed part of my sofa buckled on first use. Given I hadn't erected the sofa with due care I was prepared to pay for replacement parts. G Plan offered to replace the parts for free without my asking. I am very grateful for the excellent customer service. It couldn't be bettered

The suite is nicely made and feels…New gbplan Holmes suite.

The suite is nicely made and feels quality. The seat cushions feel harder than those we sat on in the furniture shop. They could be less dense foam for a softer sit.
