- Need joint account and other improvements.

- Need joint account (simplifies and expedites transfer on death of one spouse - the surviving spouse would automatically assume full ownership of the joint account with no need for probate and disclosure. That's a big deal.)
- Transferability, especially at death. Presently, there will be a 3-5 yr (+) mess for the executor until all outstanding loans are closed and recoveries completed. This is unacceptable for seniors, in particular, who wouldn't want to inflict this on their executors. A possible remedy would be for goPeer to generally agree to buy back loans of deceased lenders. That would be one class act.
- TFSA and RRSP/RRIF eligibility would be a big plus.
- TFSA eligibility would also allow for declaration of Successor/Holder instead of Beneficiary. This would be a big tax advantage for the surviving spouse, as the taxfree status would be preserved.
- Can't quickly fund goPeer account. No interac. No billpay or other more rapid means.
- No interest is paid on cash balances. Boo.
- Inability to withdraw the cash balance if less than $50. Hey, it's my money, not goPeer's. It's quite irksome to be denied my own cash.

EDIT 2025-11-27: I can confirm that the <$50 cash withdrawal now works. Also, that my experience as a lender has generally been good with goPeer, other than the above major concerns. Can understand why registered accounts aren't yet possible. Don't understand why *Joint Accounts* aren't yet available so that the surviving spouse could take immediate sole control and ownership without the goPeer account languishing in the estate indefinitely.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this detailed feedback. You've highlighted several important areas, and we fully understand why these matter.

Joint accounts, smoother processes in the event of death, and registered account eligibility (TFSA/RRSP/RRIF) are all improvements we know would add real value. Unfortunately, we are bound by Canadian securities laws, which provide very limited flexibility to offer liquidity in the event of death. Similarly, Canadian regulations do not permit these types of loans to be held within registered accounts such as a TFSA or RRSP. These are not decisions made by goPeer, but rather part of the regulatory framework we operate within, one that is ultimately designed to protect investors.

The 2025 Carney Budget has prioritized the implementation of real-time payment rails in 2026, which should meaningfully improve funding timelines once in place.

Just to clarify, you can withdraw any positive cash balance under $50 at any time. The only limitation is that if your available balance is $50 or more, individual withdrawals must be at least $50, which helps reduce processing costs and avoid frequent small transactions.

If you ever see a balance that can’t be withdrawn, it’s usually because some funds are still tied to active investments or temporarily unavailable due to a bank reversal. We're always happy to take a look if something doesn't seem quite right.

globally quite good

I've been investing some money with Gopeer for about 2 years now and my personnal experience is globally quite good. It's interesting when you want to diversify your investments. I have not borrow any money so can't comment on that part.

Thoughts.

Being an investor on GoPeer for 2 years now. Nothing bad to say. It is the exact same thing as they advertised, 0 surprise. I'm staying invested in the forseeable future.

Great experience and professional support

My experience with goPeer has been excellent. The process was smooth, simple, and transparent from the start. The support team was very professional and responsive whenever I had a question. I really appreciate how easy it was to manage everything online and how clear the communication was throughout the process. Highly recommend!

Easy to apply, but nerve wracking

Easy to apply, but also a bit nerve-wracking as you have no idea what the interest rate offer or loan amount will cone back at. And when it does come in, it can take hours to days to fund depending on the amount and the funding....in the end it was lower then the rate on my credit card so that what was I was looking for so it worked out.
