Had an outstanding experience dealing with Golden Castle, and in particular Gary Rigby. He went above & beyond to ensure we had a brilliant buying experience. Nothing was too much trouble for Gary, who took time to explain all the intricacies of the caravan systems, which will make running it so much easier when we get to use it. Would highly recommend Golden Castle and Gary to anyone in the market for a quality caravan.

My wife and I purchased a hardly used Swift Sunrise Compact Caravan. Absolutely immaculate. We did the deal with a part ex caravan. Upon inspection to our part ex it became apparent that it had a cracked panoramic sunroof. This did not deter Gary on getting the deal done. In fact quite the opposite. Both he and the service manager came up with a plan that still allowed us to drive away with our new caravan. Their help with my insurance claim ensured the claim was dealt with both quickly and efficiently. Nothing but praise for Gary and his team at Golden Castle. One of the best businesses I have dealt with for along time. Recommended and defiantly a 5***** experience. Go on give this company a try. You will meet as strangers and come away as friends. We are a couple from N Ireland, we were holidaying in our caravan at Briarfields Gloucester and needed an electric cable, we were recommended Golden Castles caravan . We checked out their website and admired a caravan. Went to buy the cable and met Chris. We viewed the new caravan and were pleasantly and fairly treated in a part exchange of our caravan .
Chris is a very pleasant, thoughtful respectful and caring guy. We were given a shorter time frame to have the caravan fully sorted for our switch in 7 days . All staff, mechanics and engineers were all very accommodating and despite the heat wave and other customers demands we were out and ready in a timely way. We have just purchased a new Coachman Laser 875 Extra from Goldencastle Caravans we would like to thank Gary for his friendliness and guidance from us talking with him deciding to buy the caravan right up to the delivery we had a delay from Coachman but we were kept in touch with by Gary ref the build and delivery we couldn’t ask for anything more.We would also like to thank Alex for his help too in us achieving our gorgeous caravan we have been caravan era for years but never been to a caravan business like this one from when you enter you are greeted with politeness and everyone is so friendly and helpful no matter who it is you feel so at ease and never rushed.

As this is our first caravan.

First service of a 1 year old van bought from GC.
Was returned with strong smell of spirit no mention of any issues on service sheet.
Found floor very wet and the carpet wet , bulging/ swollen and slightly stained. When question they admitted to having badly marked the carpet. They also had repaired a draw runner, they said was damaged, yet it was OK the day before the service.
Service manager said it was a slight inconvenience to return the van, a 35 mile round trip on a bank holiday weekend He needs training in customer service and quality standards and customer expectations.
Part 2
When I brought the caravan in for its service it had a bad knocking sound on the hitch which I asked them to investigate. After having a week in Wales, after this, the knocking was considerably worse. We had been informed that the alko stabilisers side pads had been cleaned. Upon investigating this myself I found that this was not the case. I also discovered that the hitch bar had not been sufficiently lubricated during the service and was clearly a significant part of the problem. I again completed to the service engineers.

Golden caravans immediately agreed to review the service after collecting the caravan from our house. When we collected it the following day there was no longer an issue with the hitch and they had replaced the stabiliser pads free of charge. The maintenance team were helpful and polite. Their team were let down by one individual which we understand has now been resolved. I initially gave a 1 star rating but now have changed this to 5 stars given their latest response and actions.

We recently bought a new caravan from Golden Castle as our own dealer has stopped selling new caravans. The whole experience was seamless from start to finish. Gary took us through the most comprehensive handover, nothing was too much trouble and at no time were we meant to feel rushed. A couple of minor issues were dealt with immediately and we happily left with our shiny new van with every confidence in Golden Castle as a dealership.

Extremely helpful and friendly people at Golden Castle who made the buying experience a pleasure. The handover was clear and unhurried. I would definitely recommend Golden Castle and go back again.

We recently purchased a new caravan from Golden Castle and their service was excellent. Gary from sales was very responsive and managed all our requests and queries quickly. We were kept updated at every stage from quotation to delivery. The service department and accessories department were also very helpful and friendly. Clearly there is a great team at Golden Castle. One of the best dealer experiences we have had.

Bought a newly new caravan from Golden Castle. The salesmen we dealt with were all super helpful, professional and competent. We had some alterations and additions to personalize the caravan, which cost only the parts fitted. Occasionally there was a delay in speaking to someone on the ‘phone, but that’s because they are always busy. The best deals always come from the businesses who are busiest, so that’s good. Handover on collection was thorough and informative. We wholeheartedly recommend Golden Castle.

Golden Castle staff have come up trumps again. After 40 years of caravanning we finally decided to purchase our ninth caravan and the GC staff, Alex and Chris were both extremely helpful and obliging, nothing was too much trouble and the whole process was made easy for us.

My wife & I have been planning to purchase a caravan for a number of years as we will be retiring in a another 18 months and we wanted to start touring the UK before heading over to the Continent. This is our first caravan so we were new to the process, we visited Golden Castle Caravans and met with Chris Howell, right from the start we knew this is where we would purchase it from, Chris was very informative and did not pressure us at all, we were left to look around a couple of different tourers and although we had done some research on the model and layout we wanted, it transpired that a slightly smaller caravan would be a better option. On collection, Chris gave us a thorough tour of the caravan showing us the key points and recommending various items to help us with the set up. If you are thinking of purchasing a caravan then look no further, I would certainly recommend Chris and Golden Castle Caravans, you will not be disappointed!!

1st visited Golden Castle back in 2023 when we choose a ex-demo van with Chris selling us it,now we are back again as we decided on a change of layout suited us better.
This time a new caravan which was ordered with Alex at the NEC October show, we collected last week & the service we had was brilliant, Gary showed us around & settled us into the new caravan, the aftercare service is amazing to, nothing is to much trouble.
