This platform’s review system is misleading and does not reflect clients’ real experiences.

I have personally seen negative reviews be removed or hidden in a way that does not impact a stylist’s overall rating. That means what you see as a “highly rated” professional may not actually reflect the full picture.

A review system should be transparent and include both positive and negative feedback. Allowing unfavorable reviews to be suppressed while keeping ratings artificially high is deceptive and undermines trust for clients trying to make informed decisions.

Until this is addressed, I would not rely on ratings here when choosing a stylist.

This is the 4th platform I've tried Im very satisfied. Its one price for booking site and website. I referred 3 people and they love it!!

GlossGenius has been the worst and the most frustrating platforms I’ve ever dealt with.

I canceled my subscription the same day I signed up, yet I was still unable to remove my debit card information from their system. To make matters worse, they require users to fill out additional request forms just to delete payment information—something that should be immediate and straightforward.

Even after attempting to comply, their system failed. The email verification step did not work despite multiple attempts, leaving me completely stuck and unable to protect my own banking information.

On top of that, marketing campaigns are delayed by arbitrary “reviews,” and I was charged for a text campaign that was never sent.

This feels like a platform designed to block users from taking control of their own accounts. At best, it’s grossly incompetent. At worst, it’s a bad-faith business practice.

I would strongly caution any salon owner or small business from using this service.

“I was using GlossGenius to run my business and at first everything seemed fine. I created an account, was allowed to accept payments from my clients, and had over $11,000 processed through the platform. Out of nowhere, my account was suddenly closed, and I was told that instead of releasing the money to me, they were planning to refund all of my clients.

This is extremely unfair and unprofessional — those were legitimate services I provided to my clients, and GlossGenius should not be deciding to return my hard-earned money. Their actions not only jeopardize my income but also my credibility with my clients.

To make matters worse, they have blocked me from contacting them by phone, which leaves me with no way to resolve the issue directly. The lack of transparency and support is unacceptable.

I would strongly caution other business owners to think twice before trusting GlossGenius with their payments. At the very least, they should have clear policies and proper communication in place to prevent situations like this. Losing access to $11,000 of business funds and being cut off from customer service is beyond unacceptable.”
