Never buy github copilot subscription hugher than free as you ca see from other comments. They imeadiately charged me for the free trial 10USD and to contact support you must wait eternity until someone see your ticker.... if so

Never pay for any higher GitHub Copilot packages, as you can see from other comments, they are just not worth paying. I even think they allocate more resources to you at the start to attract, but later reduce the resources GitHub Copilot. ChatGPT 4.5 in higher subscriptions is a joke, it gives "Sorry, your request failed. Please try again. Request id: 21c4b6ac-97da-47ef-a35c-b44822fe90d
Reason: Server error: 500" and then very quickly "Sorry, you have been rate-limited. Please wait 50 minutes before trying again". I am going to look for alternatives.

Aynnah company has only problems in the accounts without any response or assistance, and they have no technical support from the basis.

It is kind of a joke. You create an organisation and you already lose a lot of free things you could youse before. Now you upgrade to teams (...marketing ->now everything is private) - but no, it isn't. You can not enforce that nothing is public. And pages are still public. It really sucks - you can by mistake create a public repo. Or somebody in your team just creates a page and it is public (you can't set it to private). And copilot is not included in the "team" abo for organisations but in the abo for private persons.
I just use it for me (I'm a single developer) but wanted to be prepared to add people later. What a mistake. I will now search for other options.

Es war in keinem Punkt ersichtlich zum Zeitpunkt des Einkaufs, dass man eine Art Abo abgibt. Man legt einen Gutschein in den Warenkorb und zahlt an der Kasse. Hier fehlt ein deutlicher Hinweis, dass beim Kauf ein Abo abgeschlossen wird. Und mit deutlich meine ich, dass mindestens ein Fenster zur bestätigung aufgehen müsste. So etwas habe ich schon Jahre nicht mehr erlebt.

I would say that GitHub it's def an essential tool for developers, great version controls, collaboration and open-source hosting.

The integration with CI/CD pipelines and actions is great, making it easier to automate deployments.

However, the interface can feel sluggish at times, especially with large repositories and some advance features are locked behind a paid plan.

Despite this minor drawbacks it remains, in my oppinnion, the best platform for code collaboration.

The support service is really poor. No interest in helping to resolve a problem. But they are excellent at copy and pasting links to verbose, unrelated, out-dated articles. So if you enjoy wasting your time and getting frustrated, then this is a good service to use.

Bad service, they took money from account without letting you know that a scam .
Nothing to do with their subscription only waste of money and they didn’t give my money back

Account suspended without a reason out of the blue

GitHub is a pretty useful tool, I only started using it very recently.
I like using it to sub-host local files like images & html files, so others can view it without me having to pay for a domain.
It is not 5 stars because it is not super beginner-friendly, I have to use Copilot (microsoft copilot, not github copilot) to use it properly. Nevertheless a place where I can freely store my files to then share without a time restriction is something ive looked for for a long time, and GitHub free excels at it.

Now there is a free lunch for all the hackers and Internet freaks... Microsoft is pathetic...

Self-host your code with GitLab or better alternatives.

UI/UX keeps getting worse, its designed by people who never use github : ( sad to see it going down..
But hopefully better alternatives start coming.

GitHub support does not exist. Despite being a multi-multi billion dollar highly profitable company, they have the most understaffed customer service team in the world.

If you have a billing issue or an account issue, that's it, you might as well delete your account and start over, because you will never receive an answer to your e-mails, tweets, support tickets, or discussion posts.
