Worth every penny for the personal service
This is my third review with Slimmr. I started in July 2025 because I was 3 stone overweight with high blood pressure and a raft of other medical problems for which I was taking medication. Dr Max was able to reassure me that Mounjaro would be safe to use alongside my other medication. I had been trying to lose weight for several years but despite being physically active and aware of the principles of healthy eating I just wasn’t managing to control my weight and was feeling miserable as a result. I thought it was only courteous to inform my GP I was going to try Mounjaro but she was very dismissive - I am so pleased I ignored her and went ahead anyway. I managed a steady I- 2lbs a week weight loss, despite spending much of the winter abroad (I hate the British winter) and reached my target in the early spring with no side effects and feeling so much better. I am now on the lowest dose to aid maintenance for a few months whilst I firmly establish my new food and exercise habits. I no longer need some of my medication and my blood pressure is perfect. I am the same weight I was when I got married, feel so much happier and have a lovely new wardrobe. I have felt supported by real people throughout and feel that in itself (plus the extra services offered by Slimmr)is worth the fact that the cost can be a little higher than other providers.

I feel they do care about the weight…
I feel they do care about the weight loss journey, never forcing you to a situation you might be uncomfortable with. They do offer all sorts of advice and have an exercise class that is free.

I am still waiting for confirmation of a delivery when i checked in 5 days ago.
Update: as per the explanation below the customer service has been excellent and i appreciate the reasons for the order delay. My only caveat is that as i do not answer any unknown numbers on my mobile, it would have been advisable to leave a voicemail on the first attempt so i could have replied sooner. I dont always check my personal emails dsily as my work email keeps ne occupied during the day. Hiwever, thank you for dorting out the issue so quickly and efficiently.

Linda, thank you for raising this. I am very sorry this wasn't processed in the timelines you are used to with us.
Without going into details on a public forum and as per our email conversation, this was due to two distinct medical factors that we wanted to check with you, to check it is safe to release the prescription. I have checked all our records and we had tried to call you after your check-in and then had emailed you asking you to call us back, with a timeline that would have permitted us to deliver on the day you expected. We didn't hear back from you and subsequently called twice more, prompting you to book a slot with our clinicians and the issue has now been resolved according to the timeline you agreed with them and the medication has been delivered to you.
I understand that not all patients want to answer unknown numbers but (a) we do email and tell you the first part of the outgoing number we use and (b) we did follow up with a detailed email with several options to get back to us.
We take safety incredibly seriously, and if there is a choice between confirming a delivery on the timeline you expect and confirming it is safe to prescribe, we will always pick the latter as we put your safety and the regulatory environment first. As you can see above, we tried to confirm this was safe within the timeframe that would have allowed us to deliver on your expected timeline and were unable to make contact.
I've refunded your postage fee in this instance. I do hope going forwards you understand the process and the importance of our checks, which are conducted with your best interests at the centre of what we do.

As you know, all providers had to increase their prices substantially when Lilly increased the UK price of Mounjaro, and we supported many patients - including yourself - to switch to alternative medication on the programme to help manage your outgoing costs. We did this transparently and safely for all patients who requested this.
In terms of our pricing, we never claimed to be the cheapest provider. We offer a holistic wrap around service that offers to support patients in as many ways as we can. This means in addition to the GLP-1 medication, we offer psychological support videos you can use anytime, weekly exercise classes, a bank of more than 50 exercise classes online and top tier, responsive medical support delivered by experts in the field. This is quite different to most other providers. We have also never had a stock shortage or been able to fulfil the best dose for a patient, partially because of the relationship we have with both Eli Lilly - who make Mounjaro and Novo Nordisk - who make Wegovy. This is very different to many other providers.
We pride ourselves on offering responsive customer support - both within working hours (prescribers anytime, including to discuss dose adjustments and side effects) and outside of them. We also have a very responsive support desk, often staffed by doctors, and a counsellor who calls patients to check in on your progress. Lots of services offer weight loss jabs but this personal and wrap-around service is a key part of what Slimmr does differently. It means we are confident you'll get the most out of the new medication and develop the long-term habits you'll need to be able to stop this in the long term.
With regard to pricing, we are aware there is some variation in the prices for weight loss medications on the internet, and we do monitor this closely and try to price ourselves somewhere in the middle - we are not the cheapest but we are far from the most expensive. We aim to keep our prices in line with Boots, although we have currently manage to remain cheaper for the lower doses of both Wegovy and Mounjaro. Boots also charge £32 per month extra for some of the additional things that we include in the programme for free and which you can take advantage of. Bupa charge significantly more, for example.
We do understand that the medication is a significant outlay each month for many people. Where prices from others seem too good to be true, there have been a number of reports in the press of people seeking out weight loss medication deals and receiving fake products. There have already been over 250 pharmacy websites closed down for offering counterfeit products:

Outstanding
Outstanding. Slimmr aren't the cheapest place to get GLP-1s but the support, availability to answer questions and overall care they show is phenomenal. I can't recommend them enough. The team are always quick to respond to any emails and helpful, explaining what might be happening to any concerns, but offering options and possible solutions as well.
