Do not use Odie per insurance! They are scam company. Your claim will be declined anyway. They don't cover accident!

The representative was very nice and helpful. It took about 15 minutes for her to find the reasons for the payments that were made and the ones that were withheld for the deductible, but ultimately, she was able to resolve the issue.

Do not use Odie insurance. Their customer service is horrible, they take forever to process claims, and seem to deny almost everything, or only cover the bare minimum. Many Pets (the company it was previously known as) was decent-- but Odie has been a headache for even minor claims. We switched providers out of sheer frustration. Do not recommend.

I filed a simple claim due to my pet’s singular injury event.. Odie was given my pet’s medical report and bill.
Odie then asked for all prior records as it was fusing for a pre-existing condition which was not possible in this type of claim.
After submitting those records, Odie denied payment as the medical record was not written in a SOAP format, which is not required under the policy language. Then, it grudgingly paid only 10% of the total bill.
I canceled both my pets’ policies after being treated so shoddily.
These policies aren’t worth the paper they should be written on!

Odie pet insurance is the worst co. They never miss collecting there monthly payments which total to about 100.00 per month. But they don't get back to any claims? Ever for months on end, then you get a email saying their still reviewing the claim, this pattern continues till you almost literally forget you even submitted the claim in the first place..stay far away from odie..

Without a doubt the worst pet insurance company there is! Manypets was awesome and then these guys showed up! They approved my claim 3 weeks ago and it’s still pending approval! I have called, texted and emailed and good news your claim has been approved! No S Sherlock! It has been for 3 weeks but still no money!! Got no problem cashing that insurance payment on time every month though!

Answer questions handle claims reasonable amount of time

Same experience as other. Nibbles/Odie overcharged me my first monthly and ignored my emails about it for almost a month. No way to call them. Someone finally replied to my email when I requested to cancel LOL and confirmed they overcharged me and then refunded me and closed my account. Horrendous customer service. Everyone should check out other insurance companies with relatively good customer service like lemonade, prudent pet, Trupanion, and physicians mutual.

Much too long to review claims compared to other pet insurance companies.

Transfered from Manypets to Odie when they merged..and Odie has been awful compared..takes WAY WAY WAY to long to process claims ans you cant get a hold of anyone in customer service...now I will say I think they just switched reviews companies so I am hopeful that the claims process will be quicker 7-14days is perfectly acceptable, 1-2months with no communication is not

Give it minus 10. The worst. When you submit a claim it assigns you random a 9 mixed # & letter claim ID e.g. GMSSCIJUW. The next one was NCYKGYBM. No continuity to even make sense of coding. To be able to follow up on any claim is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE (which I am sure is intentional on their part. They want you frustrated So give up as being too time consuming & frustrating). In addition, almost all claims are sent back for more paperwork. My dog has meds that vet prescribed ongoing. Odie web does not recognize that. So each & every month I have to re-enter vet name, address, phone, email etc & also, pharmacy name, address, phone, email etc. If you do not have all that data, it will NOT let your submit claim. Again I am sure it is intentional so you give up.
No one ever answers phone to get help.
Overall, the process is so TIME COBSUMING, & frustrating so you give up submitting claims & VOILA they never have to pay. RUN, don't just walk away from this company. RUN AWAY FAST. I was transfered to Odie from Many Pets so now I have no choice to stay because my dog has pre existing.

Putting in a wellness claim was really easy online. It took less than a week for the claim yo be reviewed and processed.

I've been with Manypets since 2023. Never claimed anything. Recently my dog had an injury (acute pain in right leg) when traveling. Rushed him to a hospital in a different state. They took CT to rule out forign object , broken bone, ,,,. Gave him carprofen. I told the Dr. That my dog had a TPLO surgery in the opposite leg in 2023. Dr advised we made an appointment with our regular vet for CCL tear. Paid $1500 for image and visit. Claimed Odie for the 1st time. Odie requested notes from 2021 up to now. Took 2 weeks to get all those notes. They denied the claim simply because they looked for key words when reviewing the claim & found a phrase from 2023 that said pt scheduled for TPLO in 2023. That hospital never treated CCL tear, they just treated the acute pain. They draw blood and performed imaging to rule out foreign object, broken bone,,, . Spoke to someone from Odie, she kept repeating: but it says TPLO in 2023 notes! Without understanding this hospital never treated my dog for CCL tear which would include giving gabapentin, trazodone, carprofen and eventually surgery. Odie did not even consider partial coverage for the tests performed. WHAT A SCAM! Of course I am no longer a customer.
Forgot to mention, Odie increased this year's premium by 32%!!

My coverage was what I expected, but I was disappointed with the customer support and clarity of the reimbursement process. I kept getting “attention needed” errors, but no information about what the problem was: no emails, no notifications, no FAQ support. I emailed customer service and never heard back. A Reddit thread gave me an answer and then my reimbursement was processed, but I got zero help from Odie.

Odie handles the insurance provided by Nibbles, a credit card that includes pet insurance as a benefit. The card sounds great until you actually try to use it. Their customer service is abysmal. They work so hard to keep you from actually using the included insurance. I spent hours trying to understand their requirements for medical history documents they didn't bother mentioning would be needed when I signed up and tracking down information that was never my responsibility to acquire in the first place.

They asked for my dogs medical records on his vet visit in such a confusing way that needed clarification. A phone number was not available and the email customer service first told me it wasn't an issue and then ignored my follow-up. It wasn't until my claim was denied that I got the phone number of Odie and found out they were my actual insurer. I called them and was told they needed specific medical records. My vet however, told me that those records can only be requested by the insurer and I never should have been involved in that information request. Through months of figuring this out Odie's customer service started refusing to speak with Nibbles customers, despite Nibbles sending their customers with questions to them. When we finally found a form of medical history they accepted, for one claim. Afterwards, despite providing the medical history previously accepted, my claims were regularly randomly denied due to missing medical history. Any appeals made were outright ignored, denied again with nothing more than the original denial letter for explanation. Getting these people to pay out anything of the insurance they claim to provide is painfully difficult even by other insurances' standards.

I do not know how much of these issues are from nibbles and how much are from Odie specifically, but simply their willingness to work with Nibbles and allow their customers to be treated this way tells me they should never be trusted with any pets health.

This is an update to my previous reviwe. After I left a review a representative got in touch with me. Apparently the hold up was because the old insurance company didnt transfer my medical records to Oddie. I have received multiple emails and phonecalls from Odie explaining all the benefits and claims processing. I also had to make a phonecall now and they replied right away. They covered all my claims and I am very grateful for this. The only thing I wish they would have a more client friendly website. For example I uploaded a wrong file and couldn't remove it without calling them, but I called them and they took care of it right away. Also, I have been trying to put my pets photos and the site won't upload it. Otherwise, great company.

Incredibly patronizing phone assistance, they require you to submit your ENTIRE medical history with each claim, will issue denials for any conceivable reason. Just a nightmare to deal with all around.

edit: Their response to my review implies that they only ask for a medical history prior to enrollment. That does not reflect my experience. I had to submit the entire medical history with EVERY claim.

This company was overwhelmed by us migrating Pet Best customers and claims can take a bit of time to settle. Even so, some claims were settled extremely promptly and overall all my recent claims were approved in a very fair manner. Moreover, I had several conversations with agents on the phone and every person was extremely courteous, sympathetic and helpful.

Purchase ofie pet insurance through my bank. I then took my pet lucky to the vet for annual checkup and vaccination. I then submitted my claim online and was refunded a huge portion of my out of pocket expenses in 2 weeks. It was easy and stressful free. I uploaded all his records on file for faster review .
