Refund due still not received
I booked a repair for my SENNHEISER headphones on May 14 and received a label for free postage to Getitfixed in Birmingham. I posted the headphones and docking station and received an acknowledgement of receipt that the item would join the normal queue unless I wanted to pay more. On July 8 I received an email to say the diagnostics was completed and estimated cost to repair was £78.
They stated that the power supply circuit repair was needed. And no test could be made at that stage. Once the unit is on, they could test the other functions. Before they could proceed, they needed my acceptance and payment. Although I was surprised by the diagnostics as the power lights were all showing on and the internal batteries were being charged, I thought it would be worth proceeding to see if the unit could be repaired. I tried phoning Getitfixed but they never answer the phone. They sent me a winmail attachement with the email which was supposed to be the invoice, but I could not open it. I finally got them to send me a pdf invoice 2 days later after an exchange of emails. The invoice was for £100 pounds and included £22 for postage to return the item. I paid by bank transfer and the payment was acknowledged on July 15.
On August 1 I received an email saying the actual fault was in the motherboard and the item was beyond economic reair. The cost of the service, parts and return postage was £53.89 and therefore a refund of £46.11 was due and would be processed in the next 10-14 days. I texted back my bank account details to which the refund would be made on August 5 so the refund would be received by August 23. To date no refund has been received although the headphones have been returned.
I have sent emails on 14 and 21 August but no response. Tried to phone but no answer. What a scam.
Next step small claims court.

Get it fixed successfully repaired my ageing but good quality Rotel amplifier and Rotel CD Player. The repairs were undertaken well within the anticipated time frame and the goods were returned securely packaged in good condition. I was advised at each stage of the likely repairs required, engineer's repair costs and the cost of parts, with the option to proceed or otherwise. The overall cost of the repair for each item was very reasonable and it means that my valued audio equipment is now in excellent working order for a moderate outlay. All communication with Get It Fixed was by email which was satisfactory for me but may not suit everyone. Unfortunately, although advertising a helpline on the website, this did not appear to be manned when I wanted to discuss something. However, I was able to deal with that matter by email.

early worries
I have to say that after paying up front for the repair, and paying by bank transfer, with the phone unanswered, and emails initially not replied to, i feared that I had been scammed.
But no my |Bose Lifestyle unit, which Bose themselves declined to repair, my unit was repaired, and getting it connected at home, works perfectly.
I would suggest to getitfixed, that they answer the phone, and reply to emails promptly, and I am sure once these issues are resolved, the Get it fixed team will go from strength to strength.
Tried to fix a Linn CD player
Sent off my Linn CD player, which they spent a month repairing and charging twice the estimated quote. When tested on return, they had replaced the CD transporter with an cheap version, which destroyed the look of the player and it didn't work. Forced to pay £35 postage each way after that, was shown a whats app video of it working.
When returned it still had the original fault, unfixed, having spent over £300 and have nothing to show for it.
CD player fixed
CD player was fixed and plays beautifully again. But it took 2.5 months, even after I paid for the Express service. I realise this was mostly time waiting for parts to arrive but still... At least I was kept informed of what was happening.
Prices doubled,beware
When Mathew was was running the shop it was excellent,now it seems his son has taken over,prices have more than doubled,not a good idea.🤡

If you have a valued electronic or IT item that requires repair, I can thoroughly recommend that this company is a serious contender should you seek such a service for your repair! I had a problem with an old PURE 2s digital radio, in that the display gave up the ghost! This meant that it was really inoperable! On contacting Get It Fixed on line, I quickly received confirmation that it could be repaired together with a cost estimate which I accepted.
As promised, the repair was carried out and the item was returned to me within a week, which was great.
Therefore, from my experience I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this company, should anyone require a similar service!

This company are a reliable concern. They are fair in their pricing and they finally resolved the issue with my Bose Wave System. They are methodical in their approach a little slow but thorough.
5 months + damage

Icing on the cake : with a slight damage on the screen.
Too Long to Fix
The price was good. And the product came back mended, if a little crushed and some brown packing tape residue. BUT...it took 3.5 months to get my item returned. I did not pay for Express but this seems like a long time to me and without any communication.

Great service in repairing my radio unit. Good communication right throughout the process and unit sounds like new. Slight criticism is a 2 way process for speedy service. If you pay extra you get to jump the queue which I felt was unfair but excellent job.
Bose QC35 repair
I got my beloved Bose QC35s repaired (they’re 5 years old) - the repair was great and all was as expected.
My only challenge would be that updates on fixes and payments etc could be done via some sort of online portal, rather than on email - but other than that it was a great service and everything repaired relatively promptly and to a great standard.
