Great product supported by great people.We use it for tracking our hunting dogs and a dog overboard system on our 53 foot Spencer Ketch sailboat.
Our Chesapeake Bay retriever is a hard charging , hard working dog that has not managed to destroy it yet . My only suggestion is that for hunting and working dogs a stronger attachment strap be used for the module holder.

Update: Experience with Findster gets worse
I wrote a review back in March and updated in April and experience with Findster has only gotten worse since that.
The pet module hasn’t been able to hold charge for more than 6 hours/day (which is less than ideal) and keep in mind I only purchased Findster in February 2021 and it’s June now.. Additionally, it is completely unreliable when it comes to showing my cat’s whereabouts as it is constantly showing her to be somewhere she isn’t.
Also, my cat lost the pet module this morning. The module is still on and I have been looking for it for the past hour (tracking it through the app) and no luck! It somehow keeps changing position, one moment it shows the module near my next door neighbour’s house and a few minutes later it shows the module a few houses down in the opposite direction. I have looked all over the areas it has shown on the app and still nothing, the modules is somewhere outside and the charge is about to die soon.
I’m still trying to figure out how the heck it fell off her collar because I had placed it onto her collar in a way that even if her collar fell off the tracker would still be attached to it. But the cat came home with her collar on but no tracker. I can only assume the little strap (which came in the package and is used to attach and secure the module onto the collar) broke off.

Having a Findster tracker on my dogs…
Having a Findster tracker on my dogs has been very reassuring. When they go out of range, it informs me and a whistle brings them back. Not always immediately but they are getting better. I also like the fact that it can be just one initial cost.

One time expense with life long peace of mind
Very accurate. Had issues for first week where it showed wrong position but since then it's exactly showing where the cat is. Once it was sunset and cat hasn't returned, tracker showed him in the backyard 5 house away and thats where we found him. Happy with purchase and would recommend. Not sure why it was inaccurate for first few days

Poor quality product, rubbish customer service
Fortunately i managed to get my money back from thsi purchase from a chargeback claim on my card.
As per many other reviews, the customer services team are rude, unhelpful and arrogant.
I been told since January that my issue was a firmware one.... the problem with that statement is it is totally open ended. I have no idea when or if a new firmware will fix the device (actually i know it won’t as i have 2 identical devices and only one is faulty).
BUYER BEWARE! Just make sure you are happy with the risk of receiving faulty goods and having months of painfully insulting correspondence with a customer service team that seem to delight in being rude and unhelpful.
Why is it that people take on a job in CUSTOMER SERVICE that have no interest in their work!

Even here they continue to mislead. Interestingly the chargeback I claimed was through my card provider and not PayPal... Bad guess Findster, looks like you just got caught out :)

Pet module not working (New one coming)
Pet module Displayed a solid green light while on charger. Green light would not go out. On /off button wouldn’t work. Left module off charger for two days. Green light went out by itself. Restarted app. And the problem seems to have resolved.
June 16,2021 UPDATE: Problem continued intermittently with Pet Module completely unresponsive and solid green light on continuously. I used the "re-set" instructions and got it to charge again but it loses its charge in just a few hours. Findster is sending a new module which is supposed to arrive today. Hopefully the new module will connect and all will be well. I will update again after the new module arrives.

The tracker is OK, service awful.
The tracker is OK, but customer service terrible. Ordered and paid for another collar module for our other dog in march. Nothing turned up, just promises that it would be here by such and such, still nothing. Emailed replies were often blunt and very unhelpful. We were informed it had been delivered, turns out it was to Porto in Portugal. This was followed by another rude reply to my email. Eventually got a refund at the end of May after reporting it to PayPal.
Wouldn't buy direct again.

Very poor customer service
I cannot recommend this product on the experience I had. Ordered it at the beginning of April, and over a month later it has still not been dispatched. I get that the global pandemic has caused knock on effects for this. However I have been told multiple times I would get tracking within the next few days, but nothing ever comes through. I have been in a-Mail correspondence with Findster, but were not helpful. And when I threatened legal action to resolve the issue they just issued a refund (which was not asked for) so they didn’t have to deal with this.
So in summary, if you do buy this product expect it never to turn up and the company to fob you off before just giving you a refund to get you to leave them alone.
P.S.
In response to the reply, that is a very poor. If the order was nearly ready this should have been passed onto the customer, rather than just constantly replying by saying “your order will be dispatched by the end of next week”. My order clearly wasn’t even close to being shipped. If I do give the benefit of the doubt that my order was ready for shipping, the communication is very poor and not helpful at all in resolving the issues I had. If the order has been dispatched as stated in the trust pilot response, I never had tracking details given to support this.

An excellent dog tracker
We purchased about 15 months ago a Findster Duo+ (2 pet modules plus one gardian module) for our 3 dogs – one being always kept on leash for control reasons. We use them for our daily long walks (minimum 2 hours) mostly in the rather dense forests and mountainous terrain which is typically found on the Pacific Coast of Canada. In our pre-Findster life, we were commonly experiencing stress every time they would disappear from our sight for more than a couple of minutes, not knowing where they were nor headed. Every single day, we now congratulate ourselves for choosing Findster for tracking our sight hounds.
Most importantly, Findster has given us complete peace of mind: we know at any time where our roaming dogs are when they vanish by just looking at the map on the Findster phone app, even when we have lost cell phone coverage/internet connection. We find the dog location accuracy to be “within meters” even in the forest, and one gets quickly used to the 10 seconds update delay which can be confusing with fast moving dogs like ours. We rarely ever consult the Radar function, although it is available to provide the direction and distance they are in if you are not able to figure out the map. We do occasionally get a disconnected module warning when one disappears in a deep gully (likely out of satellite line of sight) but it inevitably reconnects automatically within seconds and/or as soon as the dog starts moving again. It also allows us to keep enjoying our own fitness by continuing to move rather than freeze until their return.
The modules have been 100% reliable, which is quite amazing considering our somewhat wet climate and the constant abuse that dogs running through the bush can put on a product. We make sure we charge them (2 pet modules and one gardian module) every day upon our return home so that they are fully charged for the next outing – although the battery indicator in the app shows that the batteries are hardly depleted at all after our fairly long walks. This said, the exposed 3 prongs which magnetically connect the modules to the cutely designed charger can get caked by mud and will not allow a module to be recharged due to a poor connection unless wiped clean with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
I do recall that we initially had to figure out the idiosyncrasies of the system for the first couple of weeks, but we found the online help to be comprehensive and excellent at the time. After this initial fumbling, we can say that setting up daily has been a breeze from there on. The 3 modules are simply switched on, then attached to the collars of the 2 dogs who will be free to roam first, while the gardian module goes into a pocket close to my mobile phone. Bluetooth takes care of the initial connection automatically and faultlessly. All we have to do is press on the Start Walk button on the app home screen (with the dogs next to us) to start monitoring the position of the dogs and their modules in relation to us. At the end of the walk, we just press End Walk on the app. The firmware updates which are regularly made available to keep things running smoothly are uploaded via Bluetooth at home.
The Findster app has a lot more to offer, but it is not as important to us as being able to instantly track our dogs. The data provided on the Activity Screen is still of interest: distance covered by each dog, duration of the walk, number of paws, resting time are added bonuses, but not a critical function of Findster in our opinion. Same for leaderboards, fences and sharing, or Findster Care which we never subscribed to.
We are able to see and/or review our dog tracks on each dog History/Map screen during or after the activity. The data is seemingly kept for one month. An added valuable benefit is that a full network of public trails also appears on the map, and this has allowed us to discover new terrain – which gets our dogs stimulated as much as we do!
I admit that we have developed a high level of dependency on Findster Duo+, but it is for good reasons! One could complain about the cost – yes, it is always too high – but when we do the math, the amortization of the initial purchase and no monthly fees over 400 walks (and counting!) is mere cents per walk. I concede that we have never used any other competitor product, so that it is difficult for us to compare. However, since the product does pretty much everything we need and want without any significant downfall, we can only be extremely enthusiastic about it. In conclusion, we can say that Findster deserves 5 stars out of 5, and if we could give 6 stars, we would!

this tracker really does help me know where my dog is all the time. sometimes she is just out of sight behind shrubs or in the trees and I would worry, but now I know, and its pretty close to where she actually is. This tracker is just perfect, it was just what I needed!

Findster Duo is a shoddily made product that will break after a few uses.
DO NOT BUY FINDSTER DUO.
If I could give Findster a ‘zero’ review I would.
Findster may indeed be waterproof but it is NOT dirt proof or sand proof! And what dog is immune from either?
I bought Findster when it first came out and made the mistake of not using it for a couple of years after purchase. When I finally started using the tracker regularly, it was well past the product guarantee period.
After some dozen uses, two of three tracking units broke. One was totally inert and the other would charge indefinitely and then the battery would discharge after an hour or so of use.
The company said that since the product guarantee period had passed, that it would not replace the defective units. This was despite the units being barely used.
Findster also tracks your usage details via the app, so if you don’t want anyone tracking what you do with your leisure time, do not buy Findster.
So, in short, do not waste your money buying this badly made tracker. There are better products out there.

After much to-ing and fro-ing with Paypal, lack of meaningful response from the seller and no confirmation of the refund in my account, Paypal have reviewed the dispute and closed it in my favour. The refund has now been issued by Paypal. Thank goodness for buyer protection!***
***Addendum 20/04/2021. At long last following a number of emails, “J” at Findster now confirms that a return to sender has been requested of UPS and the item is on its way back to Portugal. That said, I am still none the wiser on my refund status and “J” had the audacity to request I work collaboratively with her and remove my review! How about you work collaboratively with me on my refund instead...?!***
First of all, if I could give 0 stars, I would. However, for the purpose of this review and being able to ward off any potential customers, I will concede the requirement to provide a 1 star rating. If you’re considering buying from Findster - don’t! Why, I hear you ask? Well, read on...
In the beginning, having read other reviews and conducted thorough research in the product, I was optimistic that my customer experience would be a positive one and was excited to own a Findster Duo+ as an innovative and cutting edge dog tracking device. I blissfully went ahead and ordered a Findster Duo+ on 20/03/2021 using Paypal as a payment method. An easy and painless process. Following the transaction, I received a confirmation email with a link to my order status. Delivery was expected 26/03/2021. Great!... or so I thought...
On the 25/03/2021 I became worried when the order status had not been updated as despatched with a tracking reference and a new message presented itself in reference to an “inventory issue”. I sent a query email that same day. The 26th came and went with no sign of the device or any communication from Findster. I finally received a response to my email on 30/03/2021 that the order would be expected 02/04/2021 with a standard “apology”. It did not arrive.
The online order status then changed to specify an expected delivery date of 30/03/2021 which was in the past, with no contact whatsoever from Findster. I emailed again (as they don’t have a telephone contact number) on 04/04/2021 with no response. Further contact attempted by webform on 06/04/2021, again with no response. I attempted to contact the seller through Paypal’s resolution centre, only to be given a copy of the order status link (which I already had). I escalated and raised a claim with Paypal for a non received item. Miraculously, the item was shown as being given a UPS consignment number and a ready for despatch status on escalating with Paypal. That said, I was wholly dissatisfied with my experience and having waited nearly 3 weeks with poor or nonexistent communication, my patience was expiring. The updated despatch was only as a result of my Paypal escalation.
Due to my dissatisfaction and loss of confidence in Findster, I requested a cancellation and refund of the order. I was met by an email response querying my reasons for cancellation. After providing my reasons, I received no further communication or acknowledgment. My request for a refund was ignored. I have sent numerous other emails with no response. Keeping a close eye on the UPS tracking status, I was given a delivery date of 13/04/2021 and advised the item was in Portugal awaiting customs clearance. The 13/04/2021 came and went again with no delivery and the tracking page showing the item being processed for clearance still in Portugal. As of 14/04/2021 the status now simply shows “Delay” and to “check back tomorrow”. No updated ETA or even a hint that its on its way. I eventually got a response from Findster on 14/04/2021 only to advise that they no longer had the item and to wait until UPS ships it (again, providing the link I already had). No hint of an apology or reference to my refund request. I have requested a refund via Paypal but as the item in transit I am having to wait for a set time to pas before its classed as non delivery. So I am now 4 weeks on, have no tracker and Findster have my money and no prospect of resolution any time soon.

Thrilled with these trackers!
I am thrilled to have found a tracking device that works without GPS signal!! I often hike with my dogs in remote areas, without map access. I no longer have to worry about losing a dog in the middle of nowhere! Thank you for the peace of mind! I did learn after purchase that I have to cancel the Findster Care, despite the fact that I did not order with Findster Care. This should be corrected!
