Cant log in, persists in wanting 3rd party app to authenticate an account Ive had for more than 10 years. Has become a nightmare.

Cannot follow new instructions. DO NOT USE PHONE TO ACCESS GEDMATCH. Takes about 15 minutes to find a way to access my account. I also do not use social media. I'm too old and confused by these new methods.

As a newcomer to genealogy, I learn a lot from GEDmatch. They have tools to help you no other site has. As a beginner it has enhanced my skills. This is a great site to learn about genealogy.

Gedmatch gives you more matches than just a DNa family search group It also tells you on which chromosome matches are related to you It has enhanced my family research

I have not been on the site for months but intend to try to make better use of it in future by studying more how to use it.

Love love love GEDmatch, I try to convince all my DNA matches to use it. It gives far more information than the other websites and also means we can all put our info here.

If you are a serious researcher you need to use this. If you aren't, please pop your DNA on to help others.

Not super easy to use, but with a little work you'll get there and be able to use this powerful too.

I've really enjoyed using Gedmatch because it has taught me so much about genealogy at the DNA level. I've been using it to help with my particular problem which hasn't allowed me to use it expansively, but it has allowed me to understand my particular case better. Unfortunately, as I understand it, a solution to my problem appears dependant upon DNA input from relatives who are not yet believers. I am so close they appear essential to discovery. Here's to hoping.

its user friendly and certainly great way to find matches

GedMatch is an amazing website and a game changer with DNA family research. I have found several family members (I never knew about) and have reconnected with others.
The tools and availability of resources on this website are exceptional.

GEDMATCH makes finding DNA matches easier. With several companies providing DNA kits it is impossible to find matches who test at different companies. Gedmatch allows you to compare with anyone who will also upload their results, regardless which company they tested with.
I first tested Y-DNA about 2003. Then I tested Autosomal DNA with 23andMe. A few years later the Government threated to shut down 23andMe and my cousins and I tested with Ancestry. Then we discovered GEDMATCH and we love it!
I am not sure when I first used GEDMATCH but it was several years ago (more than 10).

GED Match is a GOD send. I have been apart of it for some years and I have referred a number of researchers to the website. They have awesome free tools and even more greatness when you subscribe to the Tier 1 feature. Happy Huntng!

I LOVE Gedmatch & how it's helped me & so so many others! It's one of the first sources I point people to when helping with their atDNA.
I've made matches with people who tested in other DNA companies, and have been able to compare in many different ways. It's a HUGE PLUS when doing genetic genealogy, which it all is now.

The members of Facebook page DNA Malta & Geneology use Gedmatch frequently. Personally I find Gedmatch great, I trust it and refer to it to compare the DNA of other people. Gedmatch has several tools which I also find useful for my own research. I always recommend it to others. Thanks

Their website does not inspire confidence in their efforts. I reported two broken links but they replied with a generic response which didn't relate to either fault. Then after logging in again the "Upgrade your Membership" panel could not be read because their own menu panel obscured parts of their own text on every line. They have a "contact us" page. But it doesn't work because they have a Captcha that doesn't load so I couldn't report the third fault. Their site is pretty amateurish. Ignoring helpful customer fault reports is really silly. I have been unable to extract anything of value from their site after trying twice. I have lost confidence in their ability to offer any information let alone correct information.

The best way to compare persons who you think might be family...Easy to use.
