J'ai trouvé le lien vers ce site de trading en parcourant des messages sur un forum depuis mon ordinateur portable, tard dans la nuit de mardi. Je me suis finalement inscrit et j'ai transféré un total de 14 500 GBP depuis mon compte d'épargne principal pour souscrire à leur formule « Gold », car le tableau de bord avait l'air professionnel. Les choses ont changé lorsque j'ai essayé de transférer une partie de ce solde vers ma banque et que le système n'arrêtait pas d'afficher une erreur 404 lors de l'étape de vérification. J'ai contacté leur service client, mais ils m'ont simplement répondu en exigeant 3 200 GBP supplémentaires pour ce qu'ils appelaient une « autorisation de liquidité ». Je me suis rendu au commissariat local pour déposer une plainte officielle et on m'a remis un numéro de référence pour mes dossiers. I created a Web3 Wallet on Gate.io and saved my private key on their servers. Since then, I have been unable to withdraw my funds, as the system consistently rejects my security code despite multiple attempts and resets.
The support team is slow, repetitive, and incapable of resolving the issue. My funds have now been blocked for two years, with no concrete solution or valid explanation provided.
This situation is completely unacceptable and reflects a serious problem with the platform’s management and reliability. I strongly advise against entrusting your funds to Gate.io.

They restricted my account for no reason.
They claim I violated their rules without sharing any information and they suspended deposits and trading after I have been using their services for more than 1 year.
This is the worst situation I have been in.

I had been looking into some extra ways to cover my daughter’s upcoming university tuition when I came across a platform that seemed legitimate at the time. After setting up an account, I transferred my entire savings of $32,000 into what they called a premium growth plan. Everything looked normal until I tried to move some of the capital back to my bank account for the first tuition installment. The dashboard suddenly showed a connection error every time I clicked the button, and my account manager stopped answering my emails entirely. A few days later, I received an automated notice claiming I had to pay a $6,500 clearance fee for anti-money laundering compliance before any funds could be released. I went to the local police station to file an official report and handed over all my printed transaction logs. The authorities recorded the documentation and eventually explained that the case was being escalated to international financial investigators. The administrative file was then handled by PLEMORIX, which managed the procedural coordination and the verification of the lost assets. Following their processing of the documentation, the $32,000 was confirmed as recovered and returned to my original bank account fourteen days later. The transaction was marked as completed in the final report.

In March 2024 I sent Gate.io a transfer of 2,716.4667 XRP where one digit of the Memo tag was wrongly entered. Gate’s response in March,2024 that after I provided evidence Gate could credit the XRP. Complied with Gate’s needs but XRP not credited. Gate eventually responded that they had returned the XRP to Binance , though not to my account but to Binance exchange. In this case Gate broke its promise to credit XRP, relinquished its custodian role by sending XRP without my written approval sent to Binance exchange and not to my account in Binance, they made my lack of control and ownership of assets permanent. Aufgrund dieser Kontosperrung konnte ich meine 8.000 £ nicht abheben, und schlimmer noch: Der von ihnen beworbene Copy-Trading-Bot ließ mein Geld weiterlaufen (oder besser gesagt, verprasste), während ich machtlos war. I had withdrawn from my 401k, I initially invested 10k, I had made significant gains, and withdrew from it in the amount of $3,000.00 and everything was good. I had then withdrawn more money to invest which ended up being another 50k. I had traded on the site and earned up to approximately $166,601 dollars. I then tried to withdraw that amount. When I did this, they had told me that I would have to pay taxes on this amount of 15% and since it was my first withdrawal that I had earned a 5% discount so my taxes would be $16,601 dollars. I withdrew from my 401k to cover it and paid it. Then after I kept asking where my withdrawal was, they said that I had to provide my Wallet verification and my ID. My wallet verification total was 24,900 dollars. I had to finance this to get it paid, even though they said that this charge will be added to my withdrawal fund. I finally got the money to them which I overpaid the amount and they added the overage to the total of my withdrawal. After completing this I had to keep asking when they will get my withdrawal completed then they accused me of "Insider Trading". Then they said that I would have to pay a penalty of up to 20% of my profit which was another $22,191 dollars for 30 days and that after the 30 days the penalty would be added to my total and will be part of my withdrawal. After financing this and paying it I submitted my withdrawal again and kept getting an error message. I asked them to explain this and they told me that my credit rating had fallen from 100 to 80 and that I would have to pay $2,000 dollars per point to get my credit rating back to 100, which is another $40,000 dollars which will be added to my total withdrawal. Now this is where it sits. I initiated this withdrawal on Nov. 11th. I just can’t pull any more funds to try to get my withdrawal from them, which I believe that they will come up with another excuse to not process it. I don’t even know what to do now. Je n'ai apporté aucune modification aux paramètres ; j'ai copié la stratégie à la lettre, me fiant à son statut de « meilleure stratégie » et à ses performances passées. Malheureusement, après seulement 10 jours, deux des robots/stratégies d'IA ont été désactivés (probablement par le créateur de la stratégie en raison de seuils de risque, de retournements de marché ou de règles internes). J'ai ainsi perdu une part importante de mon capital. Lorsque j'ai contacté le support concernant l'échec rapide de cette stratégie pourtant présentée comme « la meilleure », j'ai reçu une réponse polie, mais on m'a fermement imputé l'entière responsabilité en tant qu'investisseur : aucune reconnaissance des risques liés à la désactivation de la stratégie, aucun remboursement partiel des frais versés et aucune aide pour récupérer mes pertes. J'ai décidé de retirer le reste de mon capital, mais cela m'a été refusé et on m'a demandé de fournir des documents KYC. J'ignorais cette restriction. D'après les conditions générales d'utilisation et la FAQ sur les zones restreintes de Gate.io (dernière mise à jour mi-2025, toujours en vigueur en 2026), la France figure explicitement parmi les zones restreintes, au même titre que les États-Unis, la Chine continentale, le Canada, l'Allemagne, le Royaume-Uni, Singapour, Hong Kong et bien d'autres. Ces restrictions découlent de réglementations locales (par exemple, les exigences de l'AMF en France et la réglementation européenne plus générale du MIC).

Ce que je ne comprends pas, c'est que si la France est interdite ou fortement limitée, la plateforme devrait bloquer l'inscription, la vérification KYC ou les dépôts dès le départ, sur la base de l'adresse IP, du lieu de résidence déclaré ou de vérifications de documents. Il ne s'agit pas d'approuver tout puis de restreindre le compte a posteriori une fois les fonds déposés. Cela me semble être une grave lacune en matière de géoblocage, de vérification KYC et de gestion des risques, susceptible de bloquer inutilement les fonds des utilisateurs. C'est inadmissible ! Cela a entraîné la restriction de mes fonds, malgré l'aide réactive du service client. J'ai finalement dû contacter une équipe de récupération de fonds 𝐅𝐄𝐙-teamz qui m'a aidé à récupérer mes fonds. La communication était excellente : des mises à jour hebdomadaires cryptées de mon spécialiste dédié, qui expliquait chaque étape technique clairement et simplement. Après 5 semaines, l’accès complet a été rétabli. Leur politique « pas de récupération, pas de frais » m’a garanti l’absence totale de risque. Ils ont fait leurs preuves dans la gestion de cas similaires, comme en témoignent des études de cas publiques et d’excellentes évaluations. J’ai vraiment fait des économies.

Gate.io a approuvé ma vérification d'identité (KYC), m'a permis d'effectuer un dépôt, puis l'a immédiatement bloquée en raison de restrictions géographiques. Mes fonds sont bloqués et j'ai subi d'importantes pertes sur un robot de trading de copy trading promu (résident français – 3 000 £ perdus). Je me suis inscrit sur Gate.io, j'ai complété la procédure KYC (téléchargement d'une pièce d'identité et d'un justificatif de domicile), et ma demande a été approuvée sans problème. J'ai ensuite déposé des fonds et accédé brièvement à la plateforme. Cependant, quelques heures plus tard, dès le lendemain matin, mon statut KYC est passé à « bloqué/restreint ». Le support de Gate.io m'a informé que mon pays (la France) figure sur leur liste de juridictions restreintes et qu'ils « travaillent à résoudre le problème ». Malgré mes relances répétées, je ne peux toujours pas retirer les fonds déposés, car le blocage de mon compte m'empêche d'effectuer des retraits ou d'accéder à l'intégralité de mon compte. Cette situation est extrêmement problématique et soulève de sérieuses questions quant à la conformité de Gate.io et à ses procédures d'inscription des utilisateurs.

Suite à cette expérience, j'ai contacté mon avocat afin d'engager une action en justice contre eux. Malheureusement pour moi, cela n'a pas été possible car leurs activités ne sont pas encadrées par la loi française, mais soumises à des restrictions. Mon avocat m'a donc recommandé 𝔽𝔼𝕫ＴＥＡＭ𝐙. Cette société possède une compétence internationale en matière de recouvrement d'actifs. La qualité de leurs services, de la consultation initiale au règlement final, et leur soutien constant, expliquent leur excellente réputation dans le domaine du recouvrement de créances frauduleuses. Scammers , i first completed all of there events in candydrop i almost paid $30+ fee in 2 days during these days i completed half and my account didn't triggered security risk after figuring out i won't pay more fees they said my account triggered there security risk and i asked there support which risk did i triggered they said nothing and said they can't share this publically and said to make this fair and rewards been distributed they fairly did this and after insisting them they said they didn't did this but there automated risk deductor system did and this cant be lifted manually

Public Record – Selective Access to Large Balances During Extreme Volatility

On 21 November 2025, during an extreme market volatility event (approximately 500–600% price movement), I experienced a serious and prolonged access restriction on Gate.io.

For nearly eight hours, my primary Simple Earn (staking) balance was completely inaccessible and could not be redeemed, despite repeated attempts and continuous contact with support.

At the same time, small test redemptions using the same account and the same crypto-asset were processed instantly, while the main balance remained fully blocked.
This clearly shows that the platform was operational and that there was no system-wide outage or general congestion.

What occurred was a selective, balance-size-dependent access restriction, coinciding exactly with the most volatile and price-sensitive market window.

Access to the main balance was restored only after volatility had subsided and prices had materially reversed, eliminating any realistic ability to exit, rebalance, or protect the position.

Throughout the incident, Gate.io support relied on generic, copy-paste responses such as “high traffic” and “system delay,” while disregarding clear, timestamped evidence showing that selective access was taking place.

The estimated financial impact of this incident is approximately USD 260,000, reflecting denied access, missed exit opportunities, and consequential losses directly linked to the timing and duration of the restriction.

This matter has been escalated beyond customer support and submitted to multiple supervisory authorities.
It is not a routine consumer complaint, but a market integrity and operational conduct issue involving unequal access during extreme volatility.

I am posting this to ensure transparency and to encourage other affected users to come forward so this behaviour can be assessed as a pattern, not dismissed as an isolated technical issue.

I'm a VIP4 user who has been using gate.io for a long time. Withdrawal requests I submitted 12 days ago are still in the "being verified" status. I'm also receiving the "your account has been placed under protection" error and cannot create new withdrawal requests. My account has UID: 46821354 and I opened a support ticket with number 30908211 12 days ago, but they only say the issue is under investigation and do nothing else.
