My original order was never delivered. As soon as I made GD aware, they offered me a reorder or a refund. I wanted a reorder which was then delivered within a couple of days.

Gardeners Nightmare!

I ordered three hydrangea plants. When they arrived, they looked a bit sorry for themselves and some leaves had spots on them but I assumed that they were tired after transit and would revive. In reality, they only grew a tiny amount and all the leaves seemed to have some sort of blight. I have since read that they had a disease which cant be cured. I tried to complain to Gardeners Dream but they just said that too long had elapsed since the order for them to do anything. How on earth would you know that they had sent you blighted plants until you'd try to grow them? I wouldn't take the chance again.

I’m really sorry to hear that your hydrangeas haven’t grown as expected and that you’ve been concerned about the condition of the leaves. We never want any customer to feel disappointed with their plants.

Your order was placed in July 2025, and we were first contacted about an issue in February 2026. As the plants had been in your care for around seven months by that point, it becomes very difficult for us to assess what may have happened during that time or determine the cause of any decline. If there had been any concerns on arrival, the best thing would have been to contact us straight away so we could look into it while the plants were still newly delivered.

Great Cusomer Service!

After an issue with the wrong plant being sent out (only reason for a four and not a five). I contacted Gardeners Dream and simply cant fault the service, repied within 24 hours, correct plant despatched the next day and a really good, healthy plant too boot!

This is a very genuine Company

This is a very genuine Company, very helpful and do their best for the customer. Plants are excellent. Service is great. This is the best Flower/plant site I have found. Would certainly recommend them.

I had 2 large plants delivered..

I had 2 large plants delivered, they were well packed and secure, absolutely essential with such large plants. Both were fresh, healthy and begining to sprout. I have bought several plants from this company and would recommend them.

This was a poor lot of plants only one…

This was a poor lot of plants only one could be described as being in a reasonable state of growth for the money. Whilst some are showing some sign of life after more than 2 weeks in a consevatory. One is just a bare twig with absolutely no sign of growth at all.
Would not buy again.

I found the plants to be quite poor for the money I paid.It is debatable if one of them will make it.

I will not recommend them

I will not recommend them, I advise you lok around more than getting it from them. Too expensive just for a stem. You can get better from LIDL or B&Q with flowers already.
Hydrengea with flower aready £6.99
Gardeners dream with 9cm pot it's just a dormant stem not even with leaves. Too expensive for he price of a dormant plant. I should have check around first.

I’m really sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your hydrangea. We understand how frustrating it can feel when a plant doesn’t match what you were expecting.

At this time of year, hydrangeas are naturally dormant as we’re only just entering into spring. This means they won’t have leaves or flowers yet, and they can look quite bare compared to how they appear later in the season. Once the weather warms up, they will begin to leaf out and develop as normal.

Everything arrived well packed and on time. Some of the plants are still dormant but they have been planted out and we will see how they are in the summer.

I remain to be sure the delivery is…

I remain to be sure the delivery is Berberis lutin rouge , the plant I ordered. according to the RHS the first leaves are red, but these are green and show no sign of changing to red. Your customer service assured me it is lutin rouge, but I am not yet convinced

Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. I completely understand why you’d want to be certain that the plant you received is the correct Berberis ‘Lutin Rouge’, especially when the early leaf colour doesn’t match what you were expecting.

Our customer service team has confirmed that the plant supplied is indeed Berberis ‘Lutin Rouge’. It’s worth noting that young plants can initially produce greener foliage. The red colouring typically develops as the plant matures and receives more sunlight, so it may take a little time before you see that characteristic colour change.
