I see from the reviews someone else had this same issue. After the contract expired Fusion Connect said it auto renewed for an additional 12 months and refused to provide documentation to back this claim. After that additional year was up and paid, a final fee and termination fee were charged. Then 14 months later they said almost $5k is owed. I believe this company is running scams to force people to settle even though they are no longer on contract or receiving service. We won't be settling and may be asking the the office of the AG to take a look at this.

Since Fusion bought Speakeasy.net, it no longer uses most test servers for the speed test, instead prioritizing the three servers on the planet that Fusion owns. Once again, something competent is bought up by trash and irrevocably ruined.

Despite our long-term relationship with Fusion Connect, spanning several years during which their products and services were satisfactory, we encountered significant issues related to billing and responsiveness.

Following a relocation, we inadvertently continued to be billed for services we believed were terminated and had gone unused for over a year. Upon discovery, we promptly notified Fusion Connect and sought to cancel the service. However, we were told that we needed to pay a cancellation fee for the remaining contract term.

When we sought clarification on the contractual basis for this fee, Fusion Connect provided a service order signed by a company representative in 2017, which bounded us to their services until 2020. To our surprise, this service order had been silently renewed annually without requiring explicit approval, extending our commitment beyond the initial term on the service order.

While we acknowledge our oversight in not cancelling the service promptly, we were disappointed by Fusion Connect's handling of the situation. Despite multiple attempts to dispute the early termination fee and expedite the resolution process, we encountered excessive delays and resistance from their customer support team as they denied all attempts by us to speak to a representative with decision-making power.

Ultimately, the prolonged dispute and lack of responsiveness compelled us to settle the matter. The time and resources expended on this dispute certainly exceeded the disputed charges, suggesting a possible tactic to discourage cancellation and disputing charges. It is because of our poor experience with Fusion Connect that we do not recommend doing business with them

We are now in our fourth business day of waiting for FusionConnect/BirchConnect to get our business phones working. All they do is say that they keep "accelerating" the ticket, yet, in 4 days no technician has come to our office. We have 40 telephone lines that have been down for this entire week with nothing happening. I have now spent over 5 hours in 10-12 phone calls with them to no avail other than "sincere apologies."

Was a Megapath customer in the mid 90's and they were dependable and reliable. Moved to Virginia and have had them for 6 years. Their service deteriorated and we wanted to change to Cox...who was providing the cable in the first place. They are charging us $2200 to disconnect. They have an early cancelation clause and a renewal process that provides little transparency. For 2 times the price for ⅓ of the service of Cox cable, Fusion / Megapath is not worth the price or the hastle.
