I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Fosters Funeral Services for the exceptional care and support they provided during such a difficult time following my dad’s passing.

In particular, Gary Stevenson was outstanding throughout the entire process. He was incredibly compassionate, always kind and respectful, and maintained excellent communication from start to finish, keeping us fully updated and reassured at every stage. His support made a huge difference to our family when we needed it most.

Gary took great care of my dad Peter while he was in his care, treating him with dignity and respect, which brought us real comfort. He also handled all the arrangements efficiently and professionally, taking a huge weight off our shoulders and allowing us to focus on saying goodbye.

The service we received was thoughtful, organised, and genuinely caring from beginning to end. We are deeply grateful for everything they did for us as a family during such a painful time.

Fosters in Kilmarnock dealt with my dads funeral in 2023, then they dealt with my mums in April 2026.
Fosters treat you with kindness and compassion.
I dealt with both Lauren and Connie who were very kind and compassionate while taking me through the process which made it easier.
Ordered cars through Fosters also all the drivers were excellent in the service they provided for us.
I thank all the staff for taking such good care of us in this difficult time.

From my initial enquiry Angela was very professional, customer service excellent.
After choosing Fosters, every part of the process was explained, every cost was explained, the options was explained to get the best.

We used Fosters in East Kilbride when we lost our baby daughter earlier this year. I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. Sarah was just the loveliest, calm and gentle person and really helped us get through it. All of their staff and team just made the whole horrendous process seamless and I can’t thank them enough.

Jess was amazing. From the very first phone call she put me at ease and took real ownership of helping us pull off a remarkable funeral for my dad, with originality and true fit. Jess helped us make a lot of people happy to see a lovely man get a terrific send off. Her patience and expertise have been just perfect. She prompted us at the right time in the right way and worked really hard (and proactively) to get our photo slide show and order of service ready in time despite many late changes.

The funeral team in the day were great too. Steven and team did really well. We enjoyed David our driver's company very much on the way to the crematorium.

The flowers were extremely classy, again thanks to Jess for guidance.

But the thing Jess did best was being flexible. We had a brass band play on the day and Jess helped with organising the logistics, being the liaison between the crematorium and the band for me. It was amazing the care she took to ensure everything ran perfectly.

We recently used this funeral director for our mum’s funeral, and I can’t speak highly enough of the care and professionalism we received throughout.
Kerry at the Clydebank branch was brilliant from start to finish—kind, patient, and always there to guide us through a difficult time. The celebrant they arranged was perfect, delivering a personal and meaningful service that truly reflected our mum’s life.

From the moment my mum passed and I made that heartbreaking call to Fosters, everything was handled with such care and compassion by Karen. From our very first meeting, where she took the time to truly listen to our wishes, to recommending a first-class celebrant, every detail was thoughtfully arranged and carried out to the highest standard.

Karen kept in regular contact throughout, providing reassurance and support at every step. The special touches, such as a lock of mum’s hair and the burial cords, meant so much to us and showed the genuine care behind everything they do.

Fosters and Karen delivered a sincere, compassionate, and seamless service during an incredibly difficult time. I would wholeheartedly recommend them.

From the first interaction over the telephone, Anthea from the Hamilton office, could not have been more helpful or polite or human. She helped to guide me through the decisions that were to be made, from the service, the celebrant, cars, flowers, venue for funeral tea with everything booked without any problems, and made the whole experience a breeze. The funeral director (Billy) and his staff were also great - very respectful, helpful and human too.
They all made my Dad's funeral something to remember with a wistful smile, and I can't thank them enough. I was dreading planning and attending his funeral until I met the staff at Fosters' and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

From the moment I met Angela in the Stirling team I knew I was in good hands. Angela remained so professional throughout and kept me updated. The celebrant she chose was a great fit for our family (Heather McArthur).

Getting the Death Certificate arranged,celebrant to see us about service and the order of service. The funeral cars on time to get us to the Crematorium on time. All exceptional service from the first appointment till after the funeral itself.
Things were very helpful afterwards when we were given the Ashes and Gary was so helpful with my daughter and granddaghter who wanted some ashes for jewellery and myself for an Urn that I had chosen.

Fosters Newton Mearns provided a great service when we needed it. V quickly, they were there to meet with us and offer practical advice, guidance and make all the arrangements to ensure family and friends were able to enjoy a special celebration of life to say goodbye to my Dad. Nothing was too much trouble and all with done with empathy…arranging ceremony timings, music, book of service, cars, flowers, introducing us to the Celebrant ( Maurice King who was fantastic) etc, etc. Marie at Newton Mearns was an absolute star all the way through and the guys driving the hearse and limo’s were fantastic. Can’t speak highly enough of the service provided. Attendees spoke of how nice a service it was. Well done to all at Fosters…v much appreciated when we needed it most!

We walked in off the street and were immediately welcomed into a beautiful calming space. Without an appointment, we were looked after in a private room and given the time we needed to talk. The next appointment took care of everything and the guidance and support from Marie was felt on a deeply personal level, this support continued during and beyond the service. The service itself was perfectly tailored to meet everything we asked for. We were in very good hands and it was a pleasure to rest in them. Thank you Marie.

You need to be a very special person to be a funeral director and Angela at Stirling branch is one of these. When my wife passed away in Morocco we contacted Fosters in Stirling through the repatriation company based in London. Angela was brilliant and so caring. She arranged everything to perfection including the streaming of the service so that our friends around the world could view it. I cannot thank her enough. It was a beautiful service.

Due to the excellent support I received previously with Fosters in Stirling I had no doubts using them again when my mum passed away. The whole process from start to finish was seamless which took my own anxiety away knowing that everything was in safe hands. Angela in your Stirling building was very helpful, professional, empathetic and kind. The staff who transported us to and from the Crematorium were very nice and helpful as well. Fosters made this sad experience a bit more acceptable.

I used Fosters in Alloa and Gary was excellent. He went above and beyond. I wanted a simple burial but not the simple coffin. He got me what I wanted. He was very patient with me and my 101 questions but all were answered with the upmost compassion. I was very happy with the service. The reason I gave a 5 star review is I’ve used Fosters before and both times the service had been excellent.

From the first moment I spoke to Jess at the Perth branch I felt at ease. she assured us that herself and her team would be looking after my husband. The best idea she told me about was decorating my husbands coffin. It turned out to be unique and gave us some peace. Thank you to all. Jess, Martin, Paul and Dawn.
