Serously, we do!

You are right, one of the misconceptions a lot of people have - is confusing our tool for a "tipping platform" and we've never claimed to be.

But we understand that being in this industry, this is something we will have to deal with for a while since a LARGE percentage of people in this space wants to be given fish, rather than being shown how to catch their own fish.

The idea of having to fish for themselves is still relatively new in this space. Tipping websites and Tipsters have been around for years, so a platform like ours where you are creating your own strategies, engaging with stats and data, testing, tweaking, checking hit rates, strike rates, using your brain to adjust things, etc ...all takes time and requires some brain power, and most people do not have the energy or patience for this.

Your statetment of " the information gathered is only as good as the person's interpretation of it." is perfect because it sums up our platform.

Hello Phil Powning,

You sent us an email earlier today and we explained to you in details how our backtesting works.

There are 2 ways you can use the backtesting

1. Manually (you are in full control)
2. Auto league exclusion. (the system auto-adds and removes leagues on autopilot based on your settings)

You chose to use the Auto League exclusion which AUTO-REMOVES AND ADDS leagues based on YOUR settings and criterias.

We explained this to you over email and told you if you wanted full control, you should turn it off and use the Manual mode instead.

The auto league backtesting feature is not only explained on our platform but also in the email we sent you hours ago when you asked about how the backtesting works.

Your concern was that the system was auto-removing leagues that had losses (even though you have auto-league exclusion turned on, which we pointed out)

And we explained to you that the system does what you ask it to do. It is in the name "auto-league exclusion", it auto removes and auto adds leagues based on the settings YOU gave it.

For example, you turned on Auto league exclusion for your strategy for Home Win. You told the system to auto-remove and add leagues where the hit rate of the league's home win record is 90% or above. (which means any league that falls below that 90% hit rate which YOU HAVE SET will be auto removed)

Based on your settings, you have explicitly told the system to remove any league that falls below 90% hit rate for Home Win.

So, let's assume today the England Premier League as a 91% home win hit rate, this means you will recieve alerts for matches and teams in that league since the league meets YOUR set threshold.

So, let's say you got an alert for Arsenal vs Chelsea (an England Premier League team that fits your criterias), if the home team losses that match and when next the hit rate for that league is calculated, the league hit rate for home win has now dropped to 87%, this league will be auto-removed from your strategy because YOU ASKED THE SYSTEM TO AUTO-REMOVE ANY LEAGUE THAT FALLS BELOW 90% from the moment you you turned on auto-league exclusion for your strategy.

We explained this to you very clearly in our email and the backtesting has been used by tens of thousands of people since 2021 when we launched and is still being used everyday.

I am not sure what more we can do than to explain how our system works.

You can also reach out to us via our social media channels, which can easily be found by searching "Footy Amigo" on Google.

If you had contacted us earlier, we could have tracked this payment via our payment processor, Stripe, flagged it as fraudulent, and requested a refund immediately. This process typically takes no more than 5 minutes.

That said, we strongly recommend you contact your bank and report any unauthorized transactions on your card. They will assist in recovering your funds. Alternatively, you can contact us through our website, and we will do our best to locate the payment via our payment processor and issue a refund from our end if possible.

We look forward to hearing from you or seeing this issue resolved through your bank.

UPDATE: We have now gotten in touch with James via email.

We have advissed him to call his bank to block his card as the person who used his card on our site will most likely have used/using it on other sites.

After he provided us with the last 4 digits of the card, we were able to find a transaction with that card on our Stripe dashboard, we immediatelty reported it as a fraudulent transaction, blocked the person who used the card and issued James a refund.

We are simply a platform, we provide the data and you use the data to create your own strategies.

So, if the results of the strategies you've created are "up and down with results", this has nothing to do with our platform, it is your strategy.

We are simply a data/stats platform. You use the platform to craft your own strategies, the results of the strategies are on you (because you created the strategy)

Hello Alex, thank you very much for the feedback and review. I and the amigos appreciate this.

Regarding ability to be able to contact seller, you will look into this for future updates. We do have a section where buyers of a strategy can leave a review of the strategy purchased and the seller can reply but I understand what you mean by having a direct contact.

When we lauched the amigo copier marketplace for people to sell their strategies to other amigos, we asked a handful of the power users if they would like us to make their info public to buyers of their stratey but a high percentage said "no" due to potential spamming and people disturbing them offline. (which is understable and this is why the strategies show lots of data and stats that helps amigos know everything they need to know about a strategy before buying it)

All that being - we will be looking into this more.

Thanks for your review amigo.

The success of your betting DOES NOT rely on Footy Amigo or any tool for that matter, it relies on YOUR ability to create strategies that are going to be profitable or not.

We provide the platform and data, you create the strategies. So your inability to create a profitable strategy has nothing to do with the platform. We provide the most amount of data and stats than any similar platform (both for prematch and inplay strategies)

Regarding your second point.

"Track" (a.k.a BackTest) shows you how your strategy has performed in the past against the outcome you have set.

Keyword is "how your strategy has performed in the past"

So, past performance does not obviously indicate future results.

"Picks" on the other hand are alerts sent from your strategy for matches that fits your strategy's rules.

So - you create a strategy and our system finds matches that fits your rules and sends you alerts (picks).

I suspect you have "auto league exclusion" turned on for your strategy which is another feature we have on top of the backtesting which allows you to say "I want you to auto-exclude leagues that do not have X% hit rate for my outcome (market)" and our system does this automatically for you in the background - auto removing and auto adding leagues based on your settings.

So, "PICKS" will never be the same as the Backtest result (especially if you have auto league exclusion turned on) because backtest shows matches in the "past", on the other hand - picks are actual alerts (picks/matches) that are sent to you in real time from matches that fits your rules.

Another thing that might make picks differ from tracked past matches is if your strategy has ODDS rules in it as odds flunctuate before kickoff for various markets depending on the bookies' opinions.

All that being said - our platform offers 7days free trial and also paid monthly plan which you can cancel at anytime if you think it is not delivering the value you want. We actually encourage people to cancel at anytime because you should only pay for something that adds value to you. That being said - any experienced bettor or trader knows to become profitable in sports betting, it comes down to "YOU" and your ability to test different angles, markets, rules, strategies, outcomes, etc. It solely relies on you and your inablity to create a profitable strategy is not on the platform. We are not tipsters or a prediction platform, we are a data platform that provides data for you to use to create "your" own strategies.

Thanks for the review, we appreciate the kind words.

Regarding the app, the app's sole purpose is to recieve instant alert (just like telegram, whatsapp etc) so that the amigos can get their alerts instantly and use it for their need.

That being said, we have built a web based version of the app over 6months ago as we had some amigos who asked about being able to get alerts on the web. The web version can be used here web.footyamigo.com (here is a video on how to use it https://youtu.be/h925yc0Gk1g)

Regarding BFBM, we are currently in talks with them to foster an integration, so this is coming very soon.

To be honest, we were trying to build the automation in-house so that the amigos don't have to pay for other tools but we have seen how complex and resource consuming it will be for us to build an automation tool from the ground up, so with your advice - we are now in talks with the guys at BFBM, they have provided us insight on what to do on our side to create a smooth integration with them, so this is now in the works.

I have sent you 2 emails but never got a reply back, so I will reply your review here.

Sorry you had a bad experience with one of our support rep - Anna.

In a perfect world - I would reply to every user of the platform but I cannot.

As the founder - I have to deal with a lot: building the platform, creating new features, listening to feedback from the thousands of users, dealing with bugs and fixing them, dealing with employees payroll and salaries, working with the team and developers, dealing with database and server expenses, ensuring the business can run everyday without shutting down and many more which anyone who runs a tech company will be aware of.

Even with all that - I also provide support to the amigos (users) from time to time. But I cannot do it all, so we hire more hands on deck to provide support which is what any business that is growing will do.

I have gone through your email thread with our rep Anna. Once again - the intention of Anna (or any of our support rep) is to help, so I apologise if her help or emails came accross as rude to you.

Here are few things I will like to point out:

1. You mentioned that live page doesn't update in real time.

Sorry to hear the live page isn't updating in real time on your side.

We built the live page to show real time data and scores and it does this for thousands of amigos who use the platform on a daily basis, it is a very crucial part of what we offer. (anyone reading this can go to https://dashboard.footyamigo.com/fixtures and toggle the "LIVE" button to check this on their end, it works fine)

If the live page isn't working for you, then I am more than happy to get to the bottom of this for you. If it is a bug on our side, we are also happy to check this and resolve this for you. If it is a browser conflict, we can also get to the bottom of this for you.


2. You talked about your strategy page not showing picks as they come in.

When looking at your conversation with Anna, I can see she explained why this is the case. I will try do it here again.

Here is how our platform works.

- You create a strategy.
- Our system finds matches that fits your strategy and sends you alerts and picks to our app.

Keyword is "alert is sent to our app" not to the website.

So, the app shows and sends you alerts as they come in realtime, but because we know people would also like to see picks of strategies on the website, we made sure the app alerts comes with 2 buttons: "View Match" and "View History"

When you click the "View History" button for example, it takes you to the website and shows you all your picks.

This is how our website and system works. Alerts are NOT sent to the website, they are sent to the app.

Anna tried to explain this to you via email but I think you did not like her explanation.

Unfortunately, just because you want something to work a certain way does not mean it will work that way. The platform works how the platform was built to work, it is not a bug - it is the way we built it and it works like that for a certain reason.

This is why we offer a 7days trial so that people can use the platform with no commitement and decide themselves if it's a good fit or not.

To conclude:

I think another section of the email conversation with Anna that you found rude was her offering to cancel your subscription and issue a refund.

I can understand why that came accross as rude to you. She was following strict orders which I laid down that "if someone does not like the product, we should not charge them for it"

We are sorry you were not able to get your League exclusion or league percentage to work for you.

There are various reasons why a league percentage might not go down or up based on matches played by teams within that league regardless of the result. (it could be due to your set outcome, your strategy rules, wrong settings on your part or you might not understand how the system works and in this case - it is our job to explain how things work or answer any questions you might have.

We built Footy Amigo to solve problems and it is our job to answer or point you to the right direction, if you reach out to us)

We have no context of what issues you faced (or are facing) or what you need help with because you never contacted us for help.

If you had contacted us, we would be able to look into this for you or point where you might be doing something wrong.

You have not reached out to us in anyway. We have various ways we can be contacted (which you are aware of if you've created an account on our site):

Just for some context.

When you register on our platform for 7days trial, we send you one email ONCE per day for the 7days and each email is only to explain how the software works.

Example of emails we send are "Day 1, how to use X part of the software" and the email would contain an explanation of that feature, how to use it correctly, and a video that explains it some more.

Why do we send helpful emails to help people understand the best way to use our software?

Becayse, our software is new in the football betting space and because of this, it is up to us to not only provide videos to explain how things works but also ensure that we provide information to help the users navigate the platform correctly.

Imagine signing up for a platform which you have never used before and there is no help from the platform to help you understand how to use it or navigate your way around?

From your day 1 of signup for a free trial account, we send you an email letting you know that for the next 7days of your trial, we will send you one email per day to explain one part of the website so that you can get the best out of it.

If you do not want to get emails for the 7days, you can simply reply the email and letting us know and we will glady remove you within seconds!

You never sent us any email, used our live chat or contacted us via any of our social media channels to lodge any complain.

We DO NOT send any other emails besides the 7days explanatory email (which is ONCE a day) that explains how to get the best out of the software which YOU SIGNED up for.

We could simply provide the software and provide no help, no information or no tutorial videos and expect everyone to understand how to use it - BUT WE DON'T because we believe we are in the best position to help users navigate the software which THEY SIGNED UP FOR which we built.

We understand 1 email per day from a software you signed up for that explains how to use the software you signed up for might be "annoying" to you and we are sorry you find them annoying. If you reached out to us, we would have removed you within seconds.

You never sent us any email, used our live chat or contacted us via any of our social media channels to lodge any complain.

Also, regarding "they give you bets with a so low value which are not worth and you will not win at long term" , Footy Amigo DOES NOT give you bets!

Anyone who goes to our website or uses our tool knows this within 5 seconds. (so we don't have to disprove what you said, anyone can find that out themselves)

We are not a prediction website nor a tipping website. Footy Amigo is a tool that sends you alert WHEN matches that fits the strategies YOU have created are found!

We do not "send you bets"

For example, you create a strategy that says "Send me an alert when there is a live match where the time is 15mins and shots on target is more than 5 but no goal has been scored yet, and Footy Amigo finds this match for you and alerts you and you decide to use the alert how you please.

That is what our service does! We do not "send bets"

Regarding "they just want to sell their crappy service and that's all", we provide 7DAYS TRIAL with no need to enter any card information to start your trial.

Which means people who upgrade to Pro plan do so ON THEIR OWN accord because there is NO payment information requested to use the 7days trial.
