Use it since years, maybe the very eraly days of that product and never wanted back to the big ones like Suitcase.

Best fontmanager - using for years on windows now without any big issues.

Recently stumbled upon Pica and really like the UI of the product. Also, does a great job of gamifying sorting fonts.

It's lightweight and easy to run on the system, and it installs fonts. Furthermore, it only activates a font if you actually need it.

The best font manager there is. Responding to enquiry takes just minutes. Price for yearly subscription is reasonable. Gets regular updates.

I've been using font utilities for 40 years. There is no obvious way to delete fonts from Fontbase, and there are no support options on the website. AI solutions are completely useless, and now Fontbase is causing all sorts of font conflicts. I have an "Awesome" subscription, but the program keeps telling me I have to upgrade to "Awesome." Stay away—it's an absolute mess.

Everything is working great. I have had no problems. I integrate new fonts all the time and it handles the changes with no problem

I've been looking for a platform to manage fonts on my PC for a while, but I've never found anything that suits my needs. Some are too complicated to use or don't offer many services. Or they're too expensive for my current budget. But I didn't give up, and not long afterward, I found Fontbase! I'm absolutely thrilled! The platform offers many options and services for using fonts, and has several subscription plans to suit all budgets! Plus, the support is fast and incredibly helpful!

The software works fine and reliably. Minuses from the absense of a feature to go to the font file on the computer directly from the software, or seeing the font's filename and path in the details. Also when you search a font, you can't see from the details, in which folder the font is. A slight minus also that this software is on a yearly subscription, and not one-off-payment.

Good software to simply use tons of fonts

Straightforward, easy to configure font management, particularly when compared to bloated and expensive legacy offerings.

I moved from Monotype Connect to FontBase. Why did I do this?

Because I fundamentally disagree with cloud-first software where, if the servers go down, you lose access to the software and your font library. That’s the reality, and it’s exactly what pushed me away from Monotype Connect.

I prefer a local-first approach. My FontBase library is synced through Synology Drive, and it works perfectly. It’s fast, reliable, and fully under my control. Large font libraries load quickly, and my workflow isn’t dependent on an external service being online.

And honestly, if we look at the route a lot of companies take once they move toward service-dependent ecosystems, it’s usually the start of enshittification. The more users rely on the platform, the more control the company has over pricing, features, subscriptions, and access.

With FontBase, I bought the lifetime deal and it was a no-brainer for me. Simple, fast, local, and reliable. Exactly how software should be.

Easy and convenient. Great for testing fonts and glyphs, etc before choosing the one needed.

Does what I want but I can't work how to print examples

Love the tool, its a must in my designer arsenal.
