GOT WRONG COLORED COUCH - STILL WAITING ON CORRECT ONE!
I bought my couch back in November and I've been a customer for Floyd since 2020. I was very excited to receive the couch, which since it is made to order took around 8 weeks to arrive. Then, when it arrives, it is HALF the wrong color. One half is red, the other is the correct color. I ALSO FOUND A WELCHES PACKET IN THE WRONG COLORED COUCH which was also missing an arm cushion. I reached out to Floyd customer service to fix this a month ago, and at first they only gave me a $125 refund for this $3,000 couch and an AI-generated apoloy. I kept pushing them to fix this order and it has taken weeks of back and forth and I still have NOT GOTTEN THE ORDER FIXED. Even with expediting the manufacturing, I have to wait another 3 weeks for it to arrive after already waiting 2-3 months. Additionally, they told me shipping can take up to 5 MORE WEEKS. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I am stressed, packing half a couch was hard because I live alone, and they have hardly done anything to compensate for the amount of hassle they have put me through. The company that delivers and picked up the couch doesn't help you pack or unpack it either!!!
Absurd Shipping Experience
Completely absurd shipping experience. I ordered the sink down sectional in August, was told 4 to 6 weeks to ship. Started receiving multiple “your order has shipped” and “your order is out for delivery” notifications within weeks that were not true and they have kept coming the entire time. After 7 weeks I emailed and they told me it would ship the next week. 2 weeks later, I get some actual tracking information.
Fast forward to late November, I finally get a notification from the delivery company to schedule a delivery date. I schedule it for December 11th. On December 11th, we get the tracking information of the truck and we see it head towards our city, so we painstakingly move our existing couch upstairs to make room. We see our delivery window get pushed back, then we see the delivery window come and go without any communication from the company. Couch doesn’t come. The next day I call the delivery company and they tell me THE COUCH WAS NEVER ON THE TRUCK. They don’t HAVE IT!!? After telling Floyd about this they respond with what I think are probably AI responses basically saying, yeah it wasn’t on the truck, Sorry! Without any attempt to make it right.
Like two weeks later, the delivery company says I can now reschedule the delivery for January 6th. I try to reschedule using the website and it just doesn’t work. I had to call them to schedule it and it almost even seemed like it wasn’t gonna work for them then. So at this point I’m just waiting for Jan 6 feeling scammed and powerless. Crazy that this company is in business considering all of the people on here with similar experiences.

Unbelievable. I’ve never had an order of any kind, it’s build quality, and the company’s customer support all go as poorly as with Floyd. They are an embarrassment to the city they pretend to represent and especially to themselves.
First, they delivered much later than even their own estimate and to the wrong address. In asking to correct the mistake, they responded saying it is not their responsibility and would do nothing. I had to retrieve the order from the wrong location myself. Given the size and weight of a sofa, this was extremely difficult and costly.
I ordered a sofa. Upon opening, I learned the different parts’ upholstery colors and materials were not matching. In trying to correct the item, they told me the only way to correct it is to ship it back myself, which was especially ridiculous because they didn’t deliver it to the correct place themselves and didn’t make an attempt correct it.
Upon further inspection, the upholstery, in addition to being mismatched, was misaligned at the seams from the parts on which they were upholstered. This includes the upholstery on the cushions, the platforms, and the supports. Many threads were also loose. The sofa did not at all look like what they were advertising.
I eventually just settled by agreeing to take store credit and order replacement parts to remedy some of the mismatched upholstery. Guess what? The replacement parts were extremely defective again.
Some parts just did not fit together and were broken. When asking for support, customer service responded by saying certain parts didn’t fit “by design.”
This was true. That statement supported the only plausible intention Floyd has: the designs only intend to be misleading, extremely cheap, and extraordinarily overpriced.
Do NOT order any product from Floyd! They do NOT represent Detroit and your order will not be what you expect it to be and there will be no way to undo it.

Amazing warranty service
Platform bed purchased 9 years ago. Small amount of lamination chipping from edges noticed. Despite current 1-year warranty, Floyd honored 10-year warranty in effect when I purchased and replaced all 3 platform segments. Amazing customer service.

I had an issue with my ratchet and strap for the Floyd bed and they promptly responded and offered solutions that worked. Props to the CX team!
Poor Quality Couch
I love the overall look of the Sink Down Couch I purchased from Floyd, but upon closer inspection the quality of the cushion covers is VERY poor. The fabric edges inside of the covers aren't even finished, which results in long loose threads that make the covers difficult to zip closed. There are also a lot of loose threads on the outside of the covers. And my order arrived about 4-6 weeks outside of the estimated delivery time, which was very inconvenient. The cost of this couch was absolutely not worth the quality I received, and I would warn anyone against investing in a couch from Floyd.

Similar to many other reviews, this company needs a logistical miracle. Waited months for 4 pieces of the Sink Down Sectional only to received one of them in the wrong color. I would get random emails saying my shipment is out for delivery (it wasn't), and there's no transparency where your order actually is in the process. I suspect it's because they don't know themselves as everything is made in China, made-to-order and then shipped directly to you. No phone number to call, just a Typeform to fill out and wait. So much of this company's ethos is being small, thoughtfully designed, human, and local (Detroit based company) and it's just nothing of the sort.
I’m embarrassed
Like many other reviews I’ve read, Floyd has taken yet another customer.
I didn’t have a bad delivery experience it actually came much sooner than I was told.
Like many, I’m looking for the furniture that’s different and that you can’t find in your local furniture store.
I’m afraid I’m going to have to appreciate the local furniture store and learn to like the fact that every house has the same thing.
My sister shops at Big Lots for her sofas but I try and buy quality…it’s about the same shopping at Floyd except you’ve paid a heck of a lot more.
My sectional looked pretty good new but it’s definitely not high quality. I have loose threads and holes at the seems at delivery.
The furniture makes noise when you sit and move around on it. I’ve never had that before.
I’m upset with myself and embarrassed for falling for this. I always knew I would purchase more to my sectional in time, but thank God I waited.
Now I’ll have to mix n match furniture because I won’t buy from them again.

They have made it almost impossible to contact their customer service. They dont ship orders or change status 3 months after the order was created. On contacting them via email, you don’t receive a reply for days. At this point I am not sure if I will ever receive my order.
No bed delivery after 2 months, estimated delivery still unknown
Ordered a bed frame on November 6th, 2024. It's now January 6th 2025 and I still don't have the bed. I'm now being told I won't hear any update on shipping until January 31st. That's so insanely unreasonable. They tried to give me a $294 store credit, but what can I even spend that on?! I just want my bed.
So far no delivery
It's been twelve weeks since I placed an order with Floyd Home. Just received an email that it will take another 9-10 weeks that I can expect my sectional sofa. Nothing like the promised 6-9 weeks. BAD, BAD, BAD.
Beware: if your order is delayed, you may face a battle for a fair refund.
ordered a bed from Floyd in August, promised in 6–7 weeks. After multiple missed delivery dates and no option to cancel or refund despite the delays, I requested cancellation before they shipped. Instead of honoring that, Floyd sent the order anyway—well past the promised timeframe—and tried to charge restocking and shipping fees when I refused delivery. They ignored my appeals to follow FTC guidelines (which require a refund if delivery is delayed without consent) and their own pre-suit resolution terms. They take days to respond and their legal teams never respond.

Horrible experience
Horrible experience ! Ordered a dresser ( had to get a refund) and a 1-seater ( still waiting for shipping information ). These people will charge you and NOT send your product on time. They have various customer service reps via e-mail and some on the phone (outsourced to another country). Although, nice enough, customer service is useless and take their time in responding to you. Avoid this company as there are other ones out there with good quality service. Oh, they will charge a 30% fee if you request a refund even though the product has not been shipped (“restocking fee”). I suggest involving your bank to fight the charges and save ALL of your correspondence with them.
Do not buy from Floyd
Awful communication, totally horse sh*t shipping estimates, and unfair refund policies. Buyers beware, I'd rather have a couch that looks less cool from a company worth supporting.

I never write reviews, but my experience with Floyd has been so abysmal that I am feeling compelled to warn others. I recently moved from LA to the Detroit area and as a lover of good design, was excited to buy a sectional from a Detroit based company. What a gigantic cluterf$#&. I mean, I've purchased from Burrow, DWR, West Elm, Blue Dot, etc...and have never and I mean NEVER experienced the ineptitude, deception and out and out dishonesty of Floyd. Let's begin with the fact that I ordered our 3 piece sectional on July 24th and paid in full. Today is October 28th and we have not received our sofa. To be fair, I tried to make a change to our order in mid-August, but was told by customer service that the order was already manufactured, would be getting ready to ship soon and therefore no alterations would be allowed. This went back and forth for several weeks (all via email - you cannot actually reach or speak with a real human being in real time with Floyd) and probably slowed the process down. I gave up trying to make a change to my order and acknowledged that they won, now just sent me the sofa. On September 20th I received an email that our product was getting ready to ship. Nothing came and no one to reach out to. On October 25th, out of the blue I receive and email that my items are out for delivery...that day! Nothing arrived. Finally today, October 28th I figured out who the shipping company was (Deliverright) and contacted them directly. It took about 30 minutes on the phone to determine that the item is at their hub in North Carolina. I was able to schedule with them directly for a delivery date of, wait for it...November 21st! Four full months after I ordered and paid. The delivery was supposed to be 5 - 6 weeks. Now let's see if it actually comes in November.
False claims for shipping, waiting months and months
Furniture has not shipped yet at 1.5 months past the 5 week window for delivery. I received a notification that it shipped last week only to be contacted today that it had not actually shipped.
Abysmal customer service! AVOID!
I had high hopes when I purchased a sectional couch from Floyd, but it’s been nothing short of a frustrating, disappointing experience. Our couch, which is less than 9 months old and has been gently used and well cared for, developed a seam rip at the back seat cushion, which appears to be the result of faulty manufacturing. Naturally, I assumed it would be covered under warranty—after all, that’s what warranties are for. Right? Wrong.
Floyd's customer service took a staggering 4 weeks to respond to my initial inquiry, only to dismiss my issue and claim it wasn’t covered. When I reached back out for clarification (because how does a rip from poor craftsmanship NOT fall under warranty?), silence. It’s now been almost 2 months since my follow-up email, and Floyd has effectively ghosted me.
What kind of company sells products with a reputation for modern design and durability, then abandons its customers when the product fails due to their own manufacturing defects? Floyd, apparently.
If you’re considering buying from Floyd, think again. For the premium price, you’re better off buying from a company that actually stands behind its products—because when things go wrong with Floyd, you’ll be left with nothing but frustration, poor craftsmanship, and a broken couch.
