Very disappointing customer service - Expired Coupons in with Brand New Bosch Dishwasher
Very disappointing customer service from Finish. I purchased a brand-new Bosch dishwasher on September 22 that came with $9 in Finish coupons. When I tried to use them, I discovered at checkout that they had already expired in July 2026, so the store discarded them. I contacted Finish thinking this would be a simple issue to resolve. Instead, what should have been a straightforward $9 customer service matter turned into an exchange of at least 6–8 emails over 10 days. I was repeatedly told that Finish would not replace the expired coupons unless I provided a photo of them. I explained that the store had already thrown them away and offered to provide proof of purchase for my brand-new Bosch dishwasher (with whom Finish has partnered), including the location and purchase date, but that apparently was not sufficient. At one point, I was actually told to return to the store and ask whether they could retrieve the expired coupons from the trash.
Finish eventually called me to discuss the situation. However, despite acknowledging my frustration and apologizing, they still would not replace the $9 in coupons without a photograph of coupons I no longer have. At this point, it has nothing to do with $9. It is about the principle and the way a very simple customer service issue has been handled. I have spent far more time exchanging emails and speaking with customer service than the coupons are worth. It is difficult to understand why a company would devote this much time and effort to defending their decision rather than simply resolving the issue for a customer who had just purchased a new appliance that included already-expired coupons.
