First, their advertising is misleading – I thought I was dealing with a local Seattle company,. But their presence h ere is just a desk where a woman collects your device to send to their home office (Midwest?)

My external HD died during a trip to India, with 2 weeks’ worth of images so I looked to Filesavers to recover those files. They assured me that file recovery is done ‘manually’. They charged $2000 and results were delivered, as promised after 2 weeks.

About 200k files were retrieved, but 135k were in the folder ‘/toolkit’ for which I didn’t ask for recovery (as most of those were from past few years and already backed up). There were another 35k files in a folder labeled “backup of import & select folders 6-4-24”.
I had specifically asked only for the files on the /pictures/* folders – about 10K – so 95% of the recovered files are redundant/useless for me. Size 62 Gb of 1.34 Tb So it seems I was overcharged substantially.

Filesavers never responded when I emailed this response.

I have a 128GB Flash Drive in need for a fix and I headed to my closest File Savers location since there's no other area except Best Buy (which I personally don't have the best experience with). I just wanted to see what was wrong with my drive and luckily the diagnosis they provided was free of charge. I called for inquiry today of how much it could possibly cost and I was surprised by how expensive it is (considering what happened to my flash drive it seemed reasonable but it's a pretty hefty amount coming from me personally). The representative I talked to remained professional about it and mentioned they're able to negotiate prices which I was happy about. Ultimately, I'm getting it returned back to me but I will definitely come by for a repair in the future!

I had a flash drive that had zero recovery from these people and I had to pay $145.00 for a flash drive that wasn't any better than the I sent them to recover from. I asked for 8+ weeks for a refund and the owner absolutely refused to honor his "No Recovery, No Fee" promise. What a disgrace. I'll be sure to let everyone know this guy is a crook.

I recently used File Savers Data Recovery to attempt to recover data from a damaged device. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing due to several issues.

Firstly, the communication was extremely lacking. I had to repeatedly follow up for updates, and responses from their team were often delayed or vague. This made it difficult to understand the status of my recovery process and caused unnecessary frustration.

Secondly, the company was unable to repair my device or recover the data in a timely manner. Despite their assurances, the turnaround time was much longer than initially promised, and ultimately, they were unable to successfully restore my data.

Overall, I found the lack of proactive communication and the inability to repair my device to be major drawbacks. I expected a higher level of service and transparency, and unfortunately, I did not receive it. I would recommend looking elsewhere if prompt and effective data recovery is a priority.

Sent my SSD before I looked at TrustPilot. Big mistake! I sent in a 1Tb Samsung SSD. They claimed they couldn't recover it. I wanted it returned. I paid the return shipping costs. What I got back was a SD card, not my drive. No idea if I can actually get mine back! So upset with this company. Don't trust them. Can't do what they say and don't track their work.

File Savers was able to recover all my lost data and because I was not in a rush to recover the data I was able to save on the cost of the data recovery. File Savers kept me updated during the entire data recovery process. I am very satisfied with the experience.
