As I have not yet reached the end of my claim with fair acting on my behalf, I can only comment on their service and support so far.
They have been very clear about what they are doing and explained how the process works. They have kept me updated and been honest and reassuring about time frames.
Any charges were clearly explained at the beginning and how these are worked out.

Received a spam letter last week, making claims that a claim could be entered against a finance company, they claimed experian handed over the details (they didn't, not allowed to, couldn't...experian had no details to give) had an online check for any breaches, only thing went back to a facebook breach in 2016.
Problem is, never ever used any car finance company, always paid cash, spoke to one of their "junior managers" today, outlined everything, she blatantly lied, I informed them that it was their next step to escalate to a manager, Crystal's response was "there is no manager here to take your call" I explained that the only place they could have gleaned the information was from an illegal source, that a solicitor had already been informed and advised me, the next thing from the call, they hung up...
Trading standards and FCA are being contacted this afternoon, they caught themselves out in their own statements.
I am aware, that this practice is called fishing for custom, but for it to be legal, it has to be based on facts, as in the addressee did receive the service in question, when it doesn't, it's spam, and as experian don't have any details of any finance, because there isn't any, then it falls into misrepresentation.
Don't engage with them, don't give them any details.
