I ordered a custom-built desktop model of a family member's Piper M350 and couldn't be happier with superior quality model received, as well as the entire Factory Direct Models (FDM) ordering and fulfillment processes. The custom model is a work of art and during the approximate 12 weeks it took to receive it, FDM sent me several order status update messages, approval photos, and delivery was provided by an express carrier. It was well worth the money spent and FDM is OUSTANDING to do business with!

Having owned the aircraft for 18 years,
I knew it quite well. The model they made was exactly how it looked when I sold it.
They reproduced the Arizona Department of Transportation decals on the rudder below the elevator. I also had a Pan Am decal at the top of the vertical stabilizer. The original first owner had a US Customs sticker next to the stair door. That was also on the model.
It was foam packed for the 8,000 mile journey from the Philippines, and arrived safely and in perfect condition.

Great customer experience and the plane turned out exactly how we wanted it to! My husband loves his plane and brought back lots of good memories flying float planes!

I just received it today and it is a welcome addition to my collection. Although it is my 17th plane it is #1 today. Factory direct is a great company to do business with i have ordered several Models from them and I am well pleased with all of them.

the model is awesome, beautiful, and authentic

Attention to detail is important and the last couple of models have been excellent.

I placed the order for a Lancair with:
-the ACTUAL 3-views from the POH
-the ACTUAL paint design from Scheme Designers
-the EXACT IMRON paint codes
All in the first email. Nobody could do a more complete, thoughtful, and perfect placement of the order. Despite this, presumably because they are just a front for the actual work being done in Malaysia, they took NINE MONTHS to deliver the model, and, after COUNTLESS emails trying to explain the paint colors to them because they had no concept of an IMRON paint code, I had to refuse the first attempt due to them getting the colors all wrong and labelling it as (I'm not making this up) a TBM-850 on the stand. I answered my emails to them promptly, but they still blamed me for taking NINE MONTHS to deliver the model. I run a small business, and I don't farm out my work to the cheapest, slowest bidder, and then blame the customer when my suppliers drop the ball.

Outstanding quality. Will last a lifetime.

Ready to ship purchased on 6/6/23. Its was shipped 10 days later, received 6/26. This was disappointing. I called FDM with questions and answers were given. The model is well made and nicely detailed.

Easy to Use Website, easy to browse examples. Straight forward ordering and upload of photos. Would appreciate communication regarding estimated completion date.

Had a great experience. It takes time but what would one expect from a custom made model. Very friendly customer service. Websites could do with an upgrade but thats just nitpicking.
