Delays, Downtime, and Underperformance
After 2.5 years of ongoing issues, I’ve decided to stop. I want to share my experience so you get an honest picture:
- Installation and relocation both took months longer than promised
- Miner was broken for almost 6 months, despite a promised 6-week repair; after getting nowhere with customer service, I had to contact Mitchell myself before any solution was finally offered
- Over 30 emails (mostly with Cherry) with no concrete answers
Even the owner provided misinformation, causing further delays
- Promised returns not even close.
- Electricity costs are many times higher than the actual mining returns
- Customer service is vague, slow, and unhelpful
- I recently stopped, accepted my losses, and am now trying to sell the miner. After multiple emails and weeks of waiting, I eventually did receive my prepaid electricity refund.
I’ve accepted the financial loss, but the relief of no longer dealing with this company is worth just as much.
Zero Transparency and extremely disappointing experience
After investing a substantial amount, I requested a full reconciliation because the numbers weren't adding up. Epic Mining explicitly promised they would review everything, miner uptime, downtime, pool data, and whether my electricity bills actually matched my usage. They promised a clear, structured breakdown. I then waited a whole month and heard nothing.
I then followed up myself, and what I finally received wasn't a reconciliation at all; it was just another generic summary with "lessons" on the Bitcoin halving and network difficulty, like I’m some kind of amateur who doesn't know how Bitcoin works. After 3 months and over 20 emails, they have now completely ghosted me.
Despite multiple follow-ups, I still haven't seen any miner logs, downtime records, or verification of my power usage. Besides the low returns, the main issue isn't even that, but the complete lack of transparency and bad customer support. If a company won't provide the data behind their billing and performance claims, that should concern every customer.
Honestly, this has been a very bad investment. When I bought these miners, they showed me multiple scenarios, and the reality doesn't even come close to their "absolute worst-case" scenario. It feels like one big scam. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Epic Mining. They take your money and then stop communicating when you ask for basic proof of service.
Bad customer service
I am a customer of Epic Mining for over 2 years now and I'm really disappointed in the professional level of Cherry. I'm not sure if Cherry is the only person that handles customer service or that the name is used by multiple people but she really is the most unqualified person to do this job.
On october 2024 I received notification that my 2 miners needed to be repaired, I agreed to this repairing but unfortunately it took 12 months before they we're online and installed again. Since Cherry was ignoring my e-mails I reached out to Mitchel and after that my miners were online within days.
The miners we're under repair but before that I pre-paid a 3 month term of my electricity bill. The first invoice after the repairment I paid inmediately because I was happy the miners we're online again. When I received the next invoice, last january, I just wanted to know how much of the 3-month electricity bill in 2024 I actually used, before the miners went into repairment as I believe they broke down after 1 month of the invoice.
I sent an e-mail in which Cherry replied on the 23rd of february that she would check and get back to me. She still has to reply to this day. Seems to me a very simple question in which I won't pay the pending invoice before I get a proper answer.
I had a great experience starting with Epic Mining but the customer service experience has been horrible.
Onacceptabele stilte en geen resultaat na investering van $18.000
In juli 2025 heb ik vier miners aangeschaft bij Epic Mining voor een totaalbedrag van $18.000. Helaas is mijn ervaring tot op heden zeer teleurstellend, met name wat betreft de communicatie en het nakomen van afspraken.
Hoewel er gesproken wordt over vertragingen bij de douane in Ethiopië, heb ik over mijn specifieke miners nooit proactief updates ontvangen. Pas nadat ik zelf herhaaldelijk om opheldering vroeg, werd de situatie toegelicht. In januari 2026 heb ik, om de impasse te doorbreken, ingestemd met het alternatief om mijn machines te verplaatsen naar een faciliteit in de Arctic Circle. Er werd een tijdlijn toegezegd voor transport en aansluiting, maar ook deze termijn is inmiddels verstreken zonder enig bericht.
Het meest zorgwekkende is dat mijn dashboard bij Epic Mining sinds juli 2025 ongewijzigd is; mijn machines staan nog steeds geregistreerd als zijnde in Ethiopië. Na bijna een jaar is er geen enkel resultaat geboekt en blijft transparante communicatie uit. Ik adviseer potentiële klanten om zeer voorzichtig te zijn.

I’ve been mining with Epic Mining for about two and a half years now, and I can honestly say it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made when it comes to investing in Bitcoin.

Whenever I’ve had a question or needed assistance, they usually reply within a few hours — even on weekends — and every single time they’ve been able to resolve the issue or give me a clear update. That kind of responsiveness is rare these days and really builds trust.
All in all, Epic Mining has delivered exactly what they promised. It’s a reliable, well-run service that makes Bitcoin mining accessible for people like me who want exposure to mining without needing to figure everything out themselves.
If you’re thinking about getting started with Bitcoin mining but don’t know where to begin, I highly recommend giving Epic Mining a shot. My experience with them has been excellent, and I plan to continue working with them for years to come.

Long-term customer – major underperformance, billing issues and poor customer service
I have been a customer of Epic Mining for just over two years. I have spent around $24,000 on six machines and about $24,000 on energy, so close to $50,000 in total.
Based on the original forecast sheet provided by Epic Mining and my actual start dates, I should have earned about 1.23 BTC by now. In reality, I have only earned 0.35 BTC, a shortfall of 0.88 BTC. At Bitcoin’s all-time high that shortfall represents roughly $105,000 of missed revenue. Even at today’s price I am still clearly down.
Performance vs forecasts:
I began mining in November 2023. Five machines ran from then through the April 2024 halving and beyond. I added a sixth machine at the end of April 2024 at a different site for comparison.
For the first few months I was receiving around 75% of the forecast. Since then the returns have steadily declined. I understand the April 2024 halving reduced rewards by half and that mining difficulty increases over time, but even allowing for that, the outcome is still far below forecast.
The explanation I have been given is that Bitcoin adoption increased, so although mining rewards are lower, the future Bitcoin price “could” be higher over time. When I challenged the poor performance over the first 6–12 months, I was told I needed to treat this as a four-year investment.
That does not sit well with the way this was presented as a form of passive or regular income. In reality it has not been passive at all. I have not been able to sell anything at any point in the last two years without locking in a loss. I am effectively forced to keep paying energy bills and holding in the hope the Bitcoin price eventually much greater to make up for the loss in btc earnt. There is no clear time horizon on when that might happen, if it happens at all.
Downtime and relocation:
At one point, five of my machines were taken offline for relocation. I was told they would be down for around six weeks. In reality, they were offline for about three months.
When I raised concerns about the lost Bitcoin earning time, I was told this was probably good for the machines. From an investor’s perspective that makes little sense. Hardware becomes less competitive every year and difficulty increases continuously. Time offline is permanently lost opportunity.
Billing, dashboards and shutdowns:
Back in July I questioned an invoice. I was told to check energy consumption statements to verify the charges. Those statements were never actually provided for that period, despite being promised. For that specific July period I still have not received the energy statements six months on.
I used the BTC dashboard to track activity and questioned invoices, particularly the one from July, because there were differences between what the dashboard showed and what the invoices claimed. When I raised those discrepancies, I was then told the dashboard itself was unreliable due to machines turning on and off.
While the July invoice was still being questioned, I received the following month’s invoice and automated messages saying my machines would be turned off if it was not paid. I said I would pay that later month’s invoice, because I did not have the same level of concern with it, but the machines were then turned off with the stated reason that this newer invoice had not been paid.
I paid that newer invoice immediately in good faith, even though the earlier month was still under dispute. Despite that, the machines remained off. When I raised this with Mitchell, he said they were still off because of previous unpaid invoices, referring back to the disputed earlier month. This felt very underhanded: the reason given for shutting the machines off was one month, but they stayed off because of a different unresolved month, effectively using the machines as leverage rather than addressing the billing issues.
I have also been sent invoices denominated in euros instead of dollars on multiple occasions, which would have been around 30% higher if I had not spotted it.
Lack of response:
2 weeks ago I sent an email stating I was unhappy as not had response to email questioning invoice sent 5 weeks ago and regretted investing - no reply. Chased last week, still did not even receive an acknowledgement. For a client who has spent nearly $50,000, being ignored when raising serious concerns is not acceptable.
Reading Trustpilot, I notice that many positive reviews appear to come from relatively new customers who are still in the early, hopeful stage. That was exactly my position at the start too.
If you are interested in Bitcoin, my personal view is that you are far better off buying and holding BTC directly. The opportunity for small investors to make reliable returns from hosted mining arrangements like this is, in my opinion, largely gone.
This is my honest experience as a long-term customer.

Geen informatie over van alles!
Ik zit nu ruim een jaar bij deze club. 0 transparatie! Ineens liggen diverse machines ter reparatie. Dat kan maar het kost je ineens veel geld om te laten repareren. Let op na 4 maanden zijn ze pas gerepareerd!
Ook sturen ze gewoon energie facturen over de machines die in reparatie staan. Meer dan $1000 terug moeten vragen. En de laatste 4 maanden updaten ze ineens jouw maandelijkse uptime niet meer zodat je bedonderd wordt aan het eind van de maand met een energie rekening die niet te controleren valt. Je hebt geen idee wat de uptime is van die machines.
Vele mailtjes gestuurd maar al 4 maanden geen enkel antwoord.
Update 27-11: Ineens zijn de rapporten geüpload. Na deze trustpilot review. Je kan namelijk zien wanneer deze geplaatst zijn. Ook het missen van 9 e-mails zou in mijn spambox terecht gekomen zijn? Nee hoor. Uit het antwoord wordt ineens verwezen naar spamboxen, rapporten die er wel staan en dat ik beter moet kijken. Maar zo is het dus niet. Advies om niet naar de klant te wijzen maar even de interne zaken goed voor elkaar krijgen. Ook nog steeds geen antwoord op het feit waarom er energy rekeningen worden gestuurd van machines die in reparatie staan. Heeft mij meer dan 1000 dollar gekost als je niet zelf erachter gaat!
update 27-1: wederom duurt het weken voordat je antwoord krijgt. Weer 2 machines in reparatie ( al meer dan 4 maanden?) en geen enkele update. Hoe kan een reparatie 4 maanden duren voor 2 machines? Ook weer geen rapport over de energy kosten van de maand december. Nu alweer 5keer gemaild en geen enkele reactie. Alleen als je hier wat post dan krijg je een reactie,.

Viewing / downloading data on new Ourpool dashboard
ViaBTC allowed you to view and download miner performance data - e.g hashrate - over a chosen period. With Ourpool, this seems to only be possible based on the current date and time. That would be a significant setback in my opinion. I hope I'm wrong.

Vanaf het eerste moment tot en met heden is alle informatie in de praktijk betrouwbaar gebleken.
De deadline voor het plaatsen en aansluiten van de mining-machine is op tijd behaald. Aansluitend is daarover een mail verzonden om dit te melden, zelfs een extra mail met daarin het digitale "Certificate of Ownership". De mining-machine blijkt dan al bezig te zijn met minen. En het saldo loopt gedurende de tijd op. Nadat een bepaald saldo is bereikt, wordt het saldo automatisch overgeboekt naar het persoonlijke wallet. Terwijl via het persoonlijke Epic Mining-dashboard te zien is dat het volgende saldo al weer aan het oplopen is.
Bovendien: zijn er vragen of onduidelijkheden, dan kan er contact worden opgenomen met Epic Mining via een mail of app en altijd is er op korte termijn een vriendelijke reactie terug.
Kortom:
Epic Mining voelt als vertrouwd en dat is gebleken.
