You know those times at lunch or supper when you need a good-looking decorative bowl that’s not too big and not too small … for instance, for a side salad, or to hold radishes and carrot batons for a dip, or as a deep serving bowl for berries to go with ice cream? Well, here’s the answer: a Pink Carnation Large Old Bowl. This hand-painted serving bowl is also pretty to keep on the dresser for trinkets or useful for ice cubes when it’s rosé o'clock.

The Emma Bridgewater old bowl shape is another favourite of mine. This size is very useful for me and I love this pattern on it.

A beautifully nostalgic and comforting piece - elegant, practical and full of old-world charm. I actually bought three of these bowls: one for myself and two for my friends, so they became a small shared symbol between us - quiet, simple and meaningful. Lovely quality and a joy to have at the table.
