Absolute rubbish . Most definitely I have been scammed . Awful shoddy material nothing like the pictures. Going straight to the charity shop .

Terrible fabric used for item which looked so nice in the photo. Been completely duped and feel stupid as I usually read reviews but the reference to Eastbourne had me fooled. Yes, put it down to experience and always use credit card in future. Or use actual shops!!! 🤦‍♀️

I wish I had read the reviews before making a purchase. As everyone else has reported this is a scam company and the goods are shipped from China and the U.K. shop doesn’t exist. I finally received my dress and the quality is very poor plus they sent the wrong size. I have been asked to send a photo to show what I am not happy but am expecting the same issues when trying to obtain a refund. I have reported this company.

PLEASE. Read all these reviews they are all true!
Quality of the fabric is cheap and awful.
Nothing like the pictures on the website.
Website is all lies! Definitely no free returns. Not local company.

Company is not in Eastbourne UK they are in China. Trading fraudulently reported to bank.
Received wrong size wrong material won’t refund unless I send to China in long email claiming that cost to send back is £25.
Avoid at all costs

I have said same thought it was boutique in Eastbourne and said can return back.
I am not hearing from them and would like to return and quality is so bad!
Did anyone manage to return ?

I fully agree with all the other reviews. I’ve gone through more or less same experience with the reviewers here.
I saw this Facebook post about Emilyn Boutique, Eastbourne moving shops therefore offering huge discounts.
And it all looks very professional and states free delivery, but no mention that the products will be shipped from China. I bought 2 dresses for £72 on 13July.
I got a confirmation with tracking details which I was really surprised with. I emailed them stating that I was very disappointed at this items coming from China, had I known? I definitely would not have bought these dresses.
They replied apologising stating that they were out of stock therefore they had to order from China. This is hilarious because if they’re closing down why would they want to restock also? Also, if it’s out of stock, it would’ve stated that on their website but it didn’t do that and the order was processed and they collected their money.
I started becoming suspicious, so I checked for reviews which confirms my suspicions
I then emailed the shop again stating that I have seen the reviews and that they are a scam shop and they do not have a shop in Eastbourne. I demanded a full refund and even when the dresses do arrive, they will have to send me a prepaid envelope to return these dresses. This dress is no longer any use to me as I needed them for a special occasion which has now passed.
I’ve reported this to the Action Fraud. I sincerely hope that nobody else got caught out on this scam.
I’m editing this review on 28 July, to bring this up-to-date:
After many emails to from Emilyn, they have now given me a 30% refund which is pathetic.
So you can imagine how much money this company have conned out of these other reviewers if they only get 30% refund.
I have reported them to Action Fraud and the BBC program Rip off Britain. However, I cannot find how to report this to Facebook; if anyone here knows how to please respond to this message. Thank you.
I’ve just reread all the reviews below. It seems no one has managed to obtain any refunds I would impress upon all of you to just keep emailing them harassing them and demanding your refund, that is exactly what I did until they offered a 30% refund without having to send the dresses back. It is not satisfactory of course, but at least that something. However, I’m not stopping at this I will keep hounding them and reporting them.

Seems like I've been scammed too assumed the boutique in Eastbourne was for real and spent £70 on 2 items that arrived but was cheap quality and nothing like the pictures.

I ordered from Emilyn Boutique thinking it was a UK-based business — the website said they were in Brighton, and now Eastbourne. After receiving my order, I was extremely disappointed with the fabric quality — it felt cheap and poorly made, nothing like what was shown in the photos.

When I tried to return it, I discovered the only option was to send it back to China, with shipping costs starting at £25–£50 plus possible customs charges. This return policy was not made clear before purchase.

Their website promised free UK shipping, 30-day returns, and free size exchanges — but when I contacted customer service, I was told I’d have to reorder and pay again. No free exchange and no UK return address, despite claiming to be based in the UK.

This business is misleading customers with false claims and drop-shipping from China. I’ve had to initiate a chargeback through my credit card provider.

Fabric quality was poor, the item didn’t match the photos, and the returns process is deliberately difficult. I would strongly advise avoiding this store.

It would seem to me I have been scammed by this company. I unfortunately read about a boutique in Eastbourne that was closing down and they were selling their stock. Like an idiot I was taken in by this and order a dress which cost £35 and will probably never arrive or be dreadful quality.

The dress was dreadful quality, they came back and asked for photos and then said return to China at my own expense for the cost of £25-£50 they have no physical premises here in the UK.

The dress was worst quality I have ever seen, Overlocked hems with cotton hanging off everywhere and such cheap fabric,when I asked to return was told it would cost £25-£50 to return to China! Not based in Eastbourne at all. Total scam, avoid at all costs

This company appears to be a scam, they do not reside in Eastbourne, the clothes are coming out of China, that is if you get them. The money that I paid £100 for is based in SE8 3GG. Do not get taken in - there is no closure to this company.

This seems another rebranding of the celtyn web shop. Similar style, marketing, sale etc.
This is a scam shopping website selling inferior goods.
They have never had a shop in Eastbourne.
Do not be taken in by the quality images and marketing. They will send you very poor quality goods and you will struggle to get back all your money.

Do NOT click via fb. Currently company claiming to be a boutique closing in Eastbourne and moving to Worthing. Not true!

I believe this to be another dubious company based in USA. Goods are shipped direct from manufacturer in China. If you want to return items it is at your cost £10- £20.
Malvern Styles and Avery and Rose the same.
