Simply WOW. Rang Sat engineer out by 3 new boiler fitted up and running by 7pm Sunday. Emergency Hero helped me and i cant thank them enough. I was having a rabbit in head light moment feeling extremely vulnerable and not knowing who or where to turn to. My query for help was responsed within mins. They basically took control talked through the process pro active explained everything for ever grateful Thankyou

The pipe they attended to fix for £480 was not properly repaired, and when I tried to contact them afterwards my calls went unanswered. The email address listed online was also incorrect, so my messages didn’t go through.

The only time I received a response was after I left a negative review. They contacted me then, but refused to offer any refund or meaningful resolution despite the poor quality of the service, and seemed to find any excuse under the sun as to why they cannot issue a refund for a still leaking pipe that they took £480 for. From reading other reviews, it’s clear my experience is not an isolated case.

Once I raised my consumer rights and explained I was entitled to a remedy for the unsatisfactory work, communication stopped again. Since then, they have not responded to any further emails or calls.

Overall, the quality of both the repair work and the customer service has been extremely disappointing. Avoid this company at all costs.

You believe when booking with Emergency Hero you are receiving an honest and professional tradesman, this is not the case. A £280 fee was paid upfront for a plumber to attend to a blocked bath tub and sink. The plumber attended but could not detect the blockage. He had no ladders and was unable to access the outside pipe. While attending he found a leak on the toilet and a replacement toilet was agreed at a price of £450. A £250 deposit was paid directly to the plumber. The plumber finally returned two days later, this time to put an acid solution in the pipe to try clear the blockage. Another £30 was paid. This did not work. From then on it's been a series of calls and messages to the plumber and Emergency Hero resulting in me having to pay again for another company to come and unblock the bath tub and sink. This took 30 minutes by someone who knew what they were doing and at half the cost.

I am currenly taking action against the plumber to retrieve the £250 for the toilet deposit. He will not return the money. Emergency Hero have been disgraceful, they have not returned my messages or replied to my e-mails. On the occasion I did get to speak to someone (via booking a new job option) the operator told me they preferred that I sort the problem directly between ourselves! Emergency Hero sent this person to my home and I trusted they were reputable because of this, most definitely not the case. I would advise anyone looking to book with this company to carry on scrolling. It's been a terrible, costly experience with an unprofessional and untrustworthy company.

The contractor who attended (Graham) to fix a leaking cistern was thoroughly professional and completed the works very promptly.A credit to the service -highly recommend.

I contacted Emergency Hero by telephone as an emergency service when drains blocked on a Sunday in early January. They gave me a verbal quote (£240 for the engineer visit plus £240 arrangement fee, which I accepted as an emergency service) and took credit card details, stating that no money would be taken from the account until I had accepted any appointment they made. They called back a couple of hours later (at about 4pm), saying that they couldn’t get anyone out before noon on the next day (Monday). With visitors in the house, and no functioning drainage, I reluctantly accepted. Later that evening I re-thought, and the following morning phoned a local company myself, who were able to attend sooner, and for less than half the price of the engineer portion of Emergency Hero’s fee. I called Emergency Hero to cancel their appointment – to be told that the fee was non-refundable. Arguing with them, they eventually said that they might be able to refund the engineer portion (£240) if they were not charged for the cancelled appointment by the company they had called. I heard no more from them. I called that company myself, who confirmed that no charge had been made for the cancelled appointment. I emailed Emergency Hero with that information, and as a result received a refund of £240 (but with no further communication). I have no doubt that had I not followed this up myself no refund would have been received.
Emergency Hero’s website states that they send a text with the quote in writing (and, I assume the full T&Cs), before any commitment is made. I received no such text. I was NOT told before booking that the fee was non-refundable. Yes, the T&Cs are on their website, but who, in an emergency situation, is going to read right through the small print? I WAS told that no payment would be taken before I confirmed acceptance of the appointment – but in fact the payment was taken from my credit card 1 minute after the first phone call – about 2 hours before I gave authorisation. The appointment they provided was slow – and did not in my opinion constitute emergency action.
I have emailed them 4 times subsequently, stating my case and – accepting that I changed my mind - offering to negotiate with them a reasonable payment for the time they took to arrange the appointment. I have not even received the courtesy of an acknowledgement. They have therefore forced me into a one-star review. Their own fault; they could have avoided it by communicating reasonably with me.

Chris was very quick to turn up, did an excellent job and would highly recommend him.

I phoned with an emergency electrical issue as my power was out ,and the company was really nice , understanding and efficient in sending out a lovely man , who literally saved the day . Will definitely recommend anyone to use them in a emergency 🙌

Leaking stopcock... £360 for a call out that, when he came just tightened a stopcock, didn't actually turn it back on to check all was well. When I did after he'd just left, it was still leaking and then when I got back in touch with him he said he didn't have the part and would be back the day after (not exactly the emergency response you'd hope for!). Remarkably disappointed and then no obvious route to making a complaint for money back. Avoid!

Apologies for longish note, but believe in leaving positive feedback and great customer care (cos it’s so rare these days). Had a great recent experience with Emergency Hero. The initial service was great, punctual, electrical problem at home solved. Paid for the urgent call out and very happy.
However, I agreed directly with the visiting electrician to do some follow up work. Sadly, he was untrustworthy, didn’t return and kept large amount of money I’d paid upfront for materials. I contacted Emergency Hero and couldn’t have asked for more. They clearly cared about their reputation, chased up the contracting electrician, kept me updated with several calls and managed to get my money back. Can’t speak highly enough. Big thanks to Louis and team.

I was one more victim of this trick company. I called them because I had blocked sewage, I asked if they have jet wash because it’s a comum problem, they sad yes and they would do it. The guy arrived in 15 minutes with a mini van and a sticker. Tried everything that I have done before and of course, nothing happens. I asked for jet wash and he sad that he couldn’t do it(of course, he doesn’t have it). Then he asked for more money to try the same that I have done(put acid), not done he just sad that he couldn’t help and left. I had to call next day another company for do the job. “Emergency hero and Trio Solution” got more then £560 for nothing. The other company charged me £100, arrived in one hour and did the job in 15 minutes. This company contact my landlord and report a “collapsed pipe” that would cost them 3500. He never show up.

Efficient and effective.

One star for Emergency Hero. 5 start for billy the plumber.

Word of advice don’t seek a tradesman through this site they charge a 40% markup after their costs! If you can I would go direct to the tradesman rather than use this site to connect you.

Waited 24 hrs for a electrician to come out. Thats NOT an emergency service.

Martin came to do my shower and bath taps and also sorting a leak out he was amazing very friendly and did an amazing job defo recommend

Paul King came and sorted our boiler within 10 minutes and luckily had the part we needed! 10/10 service!

Quick and easy to find on Google, they get in contact with you quickly and can find you a local maintenance person very quickly, depending on what time frame you require.

We had a vacant home ready for sale and the boiler had quit. We called and within 2 hours Paul arrived to assist. It took Paul some 20 minutes to get the boiler up and running, no hidden extras and he was nice guy to deal with. Would use again and recommend!
