IT IS A FRAUD...I have my EKTA INSURANCE policy,.I called them because I need to see a doctor. They told me go to any hospital or clinic or doctor, pay everything and then send them the invoice to reimburse me within 30 working days. But the medical fee is too high for my budget and I was relaying on this insurance. I never had a so bad experience with insurance from other providers before and I used many for my travels. First and last time to deal with EKTA.

I purchased a travel insurance policy from EKTA and paid the full premium. When I filed a valid medical claim with all required documents, my reimbursement was denied solely because I did not notify within 24 hours, even though the visit was non-emergency. This 24-hour rule was not clearly explained at the time of purchase and is not realistic for most travelers. I do not recommend this company based on my experience.

I had a knee insury in Vietnam that caused several costs in a hospital in Hoi An. All expenses were refunded by EKTA in little time. Therefore, I wonder about all the negative reviews.

I purchased travel medical insurance from Ekta/EIG and had one of the worst customer experiences I have ever seen from an insurance provider. When I submitted a claim for a legitimate medical expense, the company denied it by using explanations that do not exist anywhere in their contract.

They claimed that a simple scooter accident (while parking at 0 km/h) was “extreme leisure,” even though their own policy clearly states that a moped/motorbike exclusion applies only at speeds greater than 15 km/h. My incident was not sport, not leisure, and not at speed, yet they invented new rules like “regardless of purpose of use or speed” to justify denial. This phrase is not in the policy at all.

Every time I asked for clarification, I got different answers or delays. They avoid responding directly to contract language and keep repeating template messages. It feels like a deliberate attempt to avoid paying claims, even when the contract clearly covers the situation.

I ended up filing complaints with EU regulators and initiating a chargeback through my bank because the company simply refuses to honor its own terms.

I strongly advise anyone considering this insurance to stay away. The coverage looks good on paper, but when something happens, they will try to deny everything using invented exclusions and endless stalling.
This company is not trustworthy and does not operate in good faith.

This is a scam company, they will not give your money back. Do not get anything from them. I lost 800£ because of them.

I am writing this to warn others about a fraudulent insurance operation called Ekta Insurance, which presents itself as a legitimate international insurer but is in fact a fake website and scam operation.

The website appears professional at first glance, but it’s completely illegitimate. The company behind it is registered as RIC “EIG” LLC, supposedly headquartered at Hamchako, Mutsamudu, on the autonomous island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros, operating under license L15921/EIG. This is a common trick used by scammers – they register companies in jurisdictions like Anjouan, where regulation is extremely lax or non-existent, to shield themselves from international legal action.

Here are the red flags:

Fake contact details and addresses.

No verifiable physical presence or real office.

They issue fake insurance certificates, which are not accepted by embassies, airlines, or any official body.

They take money and disappear – no refunds, no customer support.

The “license” from Anjouan is not internationally recognized, and it’s often used by other known scam operations as well.

What You Should Do:

Do NOT buy any policy from Ekta Insurance or RIC “EIG” LLC.

Report them to your local cybercrime authority or consumer protection agency.

If you've been a victim, notify your bank immediately and attempt to reverse the payment or file a chargeback.

Consider reporting their website to Google Safe Browsing, hosting providers, and domain registrars to help shut them down.

These kinds of scams rely on targeting unsuspecting users who are in a rush to buy insurance – especially travelers or visa applicants. Please warn your friends and share this review so no one else falls victim.

cuando me respondieron que no me rembolsaban porque yo era natural de aquel país expliqué que no soy más resistente allá vivía en otro país desde hace 30 años viajé como turista ni siquiera me respondieron de vuelta.

Una gran decepción por suerte no perdí mucho dinero porque no es muy caro si comparamos con otras compañías pero confiar y contratar un seguro de viaje que no cubre cuando necesitamos ,no es serio.

Scam insurance, they will find a clause in the agreement to not pay out.

I paid a high premium for insurance and had an accident. We spoke via phone and email about the accident, and they were aware of the process, however because I had ongoing treatment I submitted the receipts 35 days after my accident instead of 30 thus they say all claims are void.

I purchased a policy from EKTA based on their website’s claim that it included travel cancellation insurance. After buying, I discovered the policy excluded this coverage entirely. When I raised the issue, they offered only a 40% refund. This felt deceptive and left me without the protection I thought I had. I wouldn’t recommend EKTA unless they improve transparency. "Re-edited on 7th July- After multiple email communications and copy marking with NSW Fairtrading, at last they have refunded the full sum."

Bought an insurance for a schengen visa application, turned out it didn't fulfill all the requirements although they claimed it did so I had to buy another one at another company. They did say I could get my money back and were really helpful in getting the right application for it but then nothing. It's been over a year now that I bought the insurance, every now and then I asked them when I would finally get my money back. For a long time they responded they were under some sort of restriction which didn't allow them to repay me yet. Not too long ago the response was different: it was only some sort of internal process that needed to complete but after that no response anymore...

I initially trusted Ektra Traveling due to their polished website and professional appearance, but it quickly became clear that they are nothing more than a scam. Without my authorization, they **took money from my account** and have outright refused to return it.

Their customer support is a complete sham—it feels like an automated chatbot programmed to repeatedly say, “Let’s look into this for you” while doing absolutely nothing. Every attempt to get my money back was met with delays, excuses, and empty promises, clearly designed to wear customers down until they give up.

Thankfully, I found a reliable team in my bio that helped me recover a portion of my funds. This experience has been an eye-opener, and I now approach online services with extreme caution. I strongly warn others to stay away from Ektra Traveling—do not trust them with your payment details!

Ektra Traveling is clearly a scam. Do not put your credit card information on the website. They literally took money from my account without authorization and refuse to give it back. The customer support seems like a chatbot programmed to say “let’s look into this for you” and string customers along for as long as possible until they give up on their complaint. Be careful!

Es increíble que tenga tantas valoraciones positivas. Simplemente no pagan si algo ocurre, solamente se limitan a hacerte rellenar formularios y más formularios. Y luego se limitan ha hacer que te canses de reclamar y como están en Ucrania, es difícil denunciar. Pero no es imposible, les aseguro que voy hacer lo posible para que paguen.

I forgot to get travel insurance and was about to travel. With just a few dollars I got this insurance and it worked😂.

They probably wont refund you if ever you do need to make a claim unless its a super small amount and justified.

All I can say is that it is a cheap, quick solution if ever you have any issue.

I went on line an bought the "Gold " policy. Received a certificate from a Ukrainian company called "WOW INSUR" The PDF of the policy downloads but is a blank download. A pure scam. In case of " An insured event... you must immediately contact us using phone number" .... A sick scam if I've seen one !!1
