Victoria Evans was a star from the beginning providing sound and sensible financial advice when required. We will certainly be using her again! If only all FA's were like her as there are so many muppets in the market.

Been with them a long time, found them accidentally when I needed to request an Immediate needs annuity for an aging family member. We are happy with all our interactions with Eight, and Sasha in Whiteley is a gem of an advisor. We prefer face to face contact although if I was pushed I suppose I'd accept video conference. Anyway, well done.

Unable to make a withdrawal - at least in a timely fashion. This is the second time now - apparently it is down to the fact that I have declined a review. The fact that I have been seriously unwell for some time now does not appear relevant. It also appears that have "washed their hands" of me as I cannot contact my usual adviser. I have now had to deal direct with St James Place which is long winded and inconvenient. I appreciate procedures have to be followed but you don't just drop a client of many many years without providing a compelling reason. Terrible service.

Because we always prefer face-to-face meetings I am always impressed and grateful in equal measure how Ian always finds enough time for us and goes above and beyond to explain the various nuances of our financial position.

Ian took sufficient time to understand my thoughts/ requirements and gave positive options for my needs

We have been working with Ian and Eight Wealth Management for many years now. Their advice has always been first class and the results have been great.

Ian has always been responsive, clear and pragmatic in his advice. He is not an advisor who sells financial ‘products’ but one who defines a retirement strategy and then arranges the investment package to deliver the strategy. MUCH more useful than many others.

Ian always gives us 100 % nothing is too much trouble he always explains every detail , we believe our finances are in very good hands with Ian and eight wealth.

My wife and I have been clients of Eight Wealth Management since retiring in 2019. They have been excellent throughout, initially setting out a plan for our finances that demonstrated to us that we could afford to take early retirement while still remaining in a good long term financial position. Since then we have had regular face-to-face reviews with Ian Riggs, who we have found to be an exceptional adviser, explaining matters to us clearly and succinctly while always keen to receive our own input. It is also very reassuring to have this continuity of service rather than being passed from one adviser to another, so it feels very much as if our ongoing requirements are well understood.

Our video meeting was with Ian Riggs, who has been adviding us for many years now, and every time is as helpfull and informative as the last. Ian knows our situation well and is always able to apply current laws and guidance to help us get the most from our investments. He is always a friendly, reassuring voice.

Always good to have a face to face meeting with Ian. He understands our needs and aspirations well, and is able to offer good solutions once he has looked into all the options after the meeting. He usually provides reinforcement and assurance that we are doing the right thing with our income to achieve our desired lifestyle

We hadn't heard anything for a month after the meeting, but the paperwork came through quickly once we queried progress via email. If the documentation is likely to take some time (or maybe our expectation on timescales were optimistic) then a short message of assurance that things are in hand would be beneficial to the client.

Our current level of overall satisfaction is also helped by our investments performing very well in the past year, since Ian moved us onto Polaris3. Prior to that they were poor.

Overall we are pleased with the service and support from Eight Wealth.

Conversations are always open, honest and comprehensive. Good advice given and good understanding of our needs.

Dreadful. I had no choice when Eight Wealth took over my St James account. Complete incompetence. Trying to get your money out is a real ball-ache. They put every excuse they can think of.
Cannot wait to leave.

I invested with st james place (SJP), which has changed names to Eight wealth but is essentially the same company. Probably hiding from their poor performance. So see my review below.

I don't know where to begin exactly, but my advice is to simply invest in the benchmarks they compare themselves to. You'll earn more money. They cannot outperform these markets, and with their enormous fees, they significantly underperform. This is in spite of what they may show you when promoting their funds.

I have been with them since 2019, but my money doesn't become mine until after five years. If I want to withdraw it early, I pay penalties for doing so. Since my last deposit was made in 2022, my five-year period seems to start from then, which means I'm penalized even more for continuing to invest. Currently, my money is worth 9% less than if I had simply kept it under my bed. Therefore, it may be better to just accept the penalties now rather than lose more through their investment strategies.

I once requested a fund swap, anticipating issues, but it took them several weeks to complete the swap. In my opinion, this solidified the losses I believe I foresaw. Unfortunately, I can't be certain because the only information they provide is an end-of-year statement filled with colorful pie charts and no actual data.

I also requested to stop payments twice. The first time, they said I still had to pay the next month's deposit because it was too late to cancel. It was still over a week before my money was to be taken. Personally, I think my broker simply forgot to submit my stop payment request. The second and final time, they were able to stop the payment immediately.

In conclusion, my advice is not to invest with them. Experiencing a loss is a risk you accept when investing. My issue with SJP is that you give them your money, but it doesn't become yours again until five years later. Nothing is done at SJP with an acceptable level of speed.

Unbelievably incompetent. They were recommended to me by "financiable" who set up a a Zoom meeting with Eight Wealth Management for Thu 18 Feb at 10am. This was confirmed to me by email but in the event I received neither a Zoom link nor even a phone call. I eventually rang them and was told by their very polite receptionist that they had not received any notification of this meeting nor any of the data I had laboriously provided to "financiable". A complete waste of my time.

Nope.
This company has been ok...until you try and get your money out. It's as if they have never had to do it before. They say 3-14 days. It has been 2 months... and since the original signing paper work no email, no explanation, no money.
We now owe the nursing home £10,000 who are thankfully patiently waiting. The nursing home has been through enough with COVID. They should not have to shoulder this kind of ineptitude and neither should anyone else.
This is the second time we have had this kind of issue with this company which changes it's name so often it is hard to keep up. St James Place, Eight Wealth Management, SJP, SJPP...

Eight Wealth Management are a fantastic company that I would definately recommend.
