Just got a call from them. They could not confirm being licensed/registered in my state though they mentioned that they do not do business in California and Florida. Clear scam company, hence all negative reviews

We have been fighting with this "warranty" company for the last 3 weeks over an extended service contract that we purchased alongside our pre-owned Nissan Titan XD. We bought the "best" service contract that the dealership had to offer, which was this company's MAP service contract. We bought the contract to cover the truck for the length of the car loan since we bought the vehicle pre-owned and did not know the service history of the vehicle. We used the warranty twice within the first year, and several times after that for various problems that are outside of our control. The dealership had to fight tooth and nail for every repair, though up until now they did cover the repairs after a fight. Recently, the truck experiences catastrophic engine failure with both turbos blowing and the warranty company is refusing to pay for any repairs including the diagnostics/investigation. They are claiming that there is "sludge" in the engine, but did not accept any proof of regular oil changes and maintenance. We still have two years left on the loan-- and should still have warranty coverage in that two years as per the contract-- on a truck that cannot be driven. They are refusing to honor the warranty that we bought in good faith, to protect us in a situation like this based on a made-up loophole to avoid having to pay the claim. I would stay away from any dealership that uses this warranty company for their service contracts and definitely not waste your money. We thought we were protected for the length of the loan but now we are left scrambling to figure out what to do next. It seems like this company will spin the language of the contract any way it benefits them over the consumer. BEWARE.

DONT TRUST THEM FOR DOING THE RIGHT THING. NOTHING BUT THE RUN AROUND FOR A MONTH AND NOW THEY REFUSE TO HONOR THE CONTRACT!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! LOTS OF DOUBLE TALK AND LOOP HOLES REGARDING THE CONTRACT! STAY AWAY!!!!

I bought a barely used car, model year 2022 with 7500 miles on it, and the owner provided details on a service package he bought from EFG (something called the Maintenance Value Plan). He said it should be good for 2 or 3 oil changes and signed a form that I would just have to mail in with a $50 dollar transfer fee and the coverage would go to my car. Nice gesture, but I never heard of this company before and am wary about aftermarket warranty packages like this - they often don't cover much, if anything.

I called my local dealer and asked if they'd ever dealt with this company before, and they hadn't. They said they'd do the work, but I would have to submit for repayment by EFG, and that it was important to ask them about reimbursements.

Next I called EFG to verify it would honor the plan and to ask what was covered, but they refused to provide any details whatsoever - would not even tell me what would be covered in a similar plan, etc. I figured they might try to upsell me on to something more expensive, but she didn't even do that - just threw up a wall and refused to help or pass me to someone who could. Weird - what's she hiding?

I don't fee so good about spending $50 to transfer into a plan that I'm not even sure will be honored or without knowing for certain what's in it. Throw in the fact my phone popped up a "possible scam!" message as soon as I entered their phone number and I did not get good vibes at all.

On EFGs web site the discussion about these warranty and service packages is all about how much money the dealer can make by selling them. Very little focus on the customer or why they might want to buy one. This tells me a lot about the kind of people they sell to and what they think of the end consumer (that they are too stupid to do any research, so who cares if we talk about fleecing them right on our own web page, etc.)

Better to avoid this one before your first headache trying to get any benefits from their products. The phone was right - it's a scam.

EFG Companies paid a transmission claim a few years ago to a mechanic that had forged my signature for payment. They did not pursue charges against this mechanic and never gave me a cent towards the repairs that I had to make when I finally got my car back. The mechanic that they had paid never did any work on the transmission. I found out later that he was not even ASE certified. In Texas, they don't consider me eligible to pursue him for fraud. Don't bother calling me unless you have pursued the charges on the mechanic and/or are giving me the money for the claim that was paid to the mechanic. They still have not paid me a cent for this warranty and have not pursued charges for forging my signature against the mechanic. The Angelina County Sheriff views them as the victim although I am the one who was cheated. The date is now 5/2/2022.
