The customer servise is friendly.

I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the boots I purchased from Edgars. After only a few months of normal use, the sole cracked completely through and began to fall apart.

When I contacted customer service, they dismissed my concern, despite the boots clearly exhibiting what appears to be a manufacturing defect rather than normal wear and tear.

A pair of boots should last for years, not just a few months. I expected far better quality and customer service from a well-known retailer. Unfortunately, this experience has left me questioning both the durability of your products.

I will be returning the shoes to the store. Please send them to the customer care department.

i just want to commend the cashier at the Glen Nthabiseng Refiloe for her excellent service on Saturday 25 May 2026. She has great energy and great customer service. She advised my husband and i on how to pay with our store cards etc. She even told me that i had a store voucher of R 50 .00 that i could use towards my purchase. I also found a lot of good clothing at good prices at the store.

I received an email from Blake.co.za on the 12th August stating that I have an overdue balance on my Edgars account, to be paid as soon as possible, this is despite not receiving an account balance for months, the amount was settled, today however my email address was suddenly not on the system and could not access my own account, as such it was better to pay cash and close the account completely, which was suddenly a possibility

not the most amazing service and smaller branch doesnt have much of a selection

I bought an expensive perfume at Edgards Cresta Mall. The 150ml perfume is a full parfum (NOT eau de toilette).
The perfume is a well-known brand and, being a full perfume, its smell, even when the smell subtle, needs to last at least 8 hours. This one in particular does not even last 3 hours.
I have been buying perfume whole my life and I can speak with confidence that the perfume is either fake or has a production issue.
Sadly, the lady who is the store manager refused to exchange and instead told me that he would call the supplier. Even though, her very own staff in charge of perfume sales mentioned that, they also observed that the perfume was not perfoming as it shoud, she and her assistant disregarded the views of their experienced staff just because they didn't want to offer me an exchange, I was not even asking for my money back.
The manager promised to talk to the supplier, without any surprise, she came back to me two days later saying that there was nothing wrong with the perfume and that I had to come back to collect the perfume.
Of course, I couldnt' go back to collect an expensive "water" with a good smell that dissapears after just 2 hours or less.

I recently visited your store at Zevenwacht on 21/12/2024 and had an unsettling experience. As I was exiting the shop, I was informed that I needed to have my handbag searched as per your store's policy.

However, I was not informed about this policy before making my purchase or at any point during my visit. The policy was displayed, but I only became aware of it after being asked to undergo the search.

Furthermore, I've done some research and found that searching customers' handbags without their consent or reasonable suspicion may be ******** in South Africa.

As a customer, I am protected by various laws and regulations, including:

- The Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), which promotes fairness, transparency, and accountability in business practices.
- The Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), which safeguards customers' personal information and privacy.
- The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, which enshrines the right to dignity, privacy, and freedom from unreasonable searches.

I'm concerned that your store's policy may be infringing on customers' rights to privacy and dignity. I would appreciate it if you could clarify your policy on searching customers' bags and ensure that it aligns with South African laws and respects customers' rights.

I hope you'll take my concerns seriously and take necessary steps to address this issue.
