I enrolled in the Ecommerce Freedom Amazon FBA training program run by Oliver Denyer / Ecommerce Freedom and paid £2,000 based on the expectation of receiving structured guidance, ongoing support, and the services advertised at the time of purchase.

Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing.

Overall, I have lost more than £5,000 following their guidance and business plan, which makes the lack of proper support even more concerning.

During the initial sales call, Oliver promised that he would “hold your hand” from start to finish. In reality, this was not the case. The experience felt more like being pushed into the deep end — you are expected to figure things out yourself, with very limited meaningful support.

There was a clear lack of adequate guidance throughout the program. Communication was slow, and in many cases, my emails and requests for assistance were not responded to within a reasonable timeframe. When I asked the team to review or validate my product research at different stages, the typical response I received was simply: “we need to test and see,” which is not particularly helpful for someone relying on expert guidance.

It also became apparent that the main focus of the business is not genuinely helping customers grow their Amazon FBA business, but rather pushing customers towards additional paid “1 to 1 coaching” upsells and other extra services. This creates the impression that the initial program is incomplete unless you continue to spend more money.

Another concern is around product selection guidance. Some of the products suggested to me appeared to be taken from lists prepared by students during the training. In my case, I was actually given the same product idea that I had originally identified myself during the course. While they did change it after I raised this, it raised questions about how tailored and original the recommendations really are.

In terms of content, I found that much of the material provided is not particularly unique or advanced. Similar information is widely available for free on platforms like YouTube. Additionally, with modern AI tools, it is possible to generate more detailed and tailored business plans than what is provided in the course.

Given the cost, I expected significantly more value, guidance, and accountability. Instead, the overall experience felt overpriced and underdelivered.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to carefully consider whether this program offers genuine value for money before committing.

We were encouraged to join his WhatsApp group and he would give us free pdf's. I think it was 15 or something. Anyway I had an early morning call from a scammer from this group claiming to be them, because they didn't keep any of our telephone numbers private. I informed them via email. They apologised. By this time I'd decided I didn't want anything to do with them. They were bombarding me with emails and so I unsubscribed. Still kept coming. So after third attempt I reported as spam because I didn't know what else to do. Id be very cautious with this company. That's just my opinion but I don't think they look after your personal data for starters.

E commerce freedom is a comprehensive introduction to e-commerce, with access to a community of like minded entrepreneurs. So far, I've gained a strong foundation in how Amazon FBA works, and I'm looking forward to finding out more

EF Academy has really helped me learn about Amazon FBA as a beginner. The weekly online lessons delivered by Oliver have kept me motivated and made the learning process much easier to follow. I would highly recommend this course if want to start your Amazon business.

Since joining E-commerce Freedom I’m learning so much about Amazon I’ve started selling wholesale arbitrage from following the course it’s easy to follow and Ollie’s weekly calls are very supportive I would recommend his course if you want to get started and build a business.

Ollie consistently provides exceptional value through his training videos and emails. He has a genuine passion for helping others succeed. His coaching fees are very reasonable, especially considering the wealth of information and depth of knowledge he offers.

I started working with Oliver after I subscribed to one of his master classes organised sometime end of last hier. The subscription gave me access to the EFA extensive course on how to sell on Amazon and to the group call coaching twice a week. Despite my multiple occupations (work, family and social life), I manage to continue growing, thanks to the group call coaching.

The group allows me to meet with like-minded individuals, even when I encounter any issue, listening to others in the group not only encourage me to keep pushing but, I learn from others' experiences.

I haven't got yet where I want to be in the business but with the environment created by Oliver, I am 100% certain that I will get there soon.

I think I like what I am doing so far and I can't wait to free up more time so I can put more into my growth in the business.

The knowledge I have gained on this programme has been invaluable as I navigate the multiple complexities of FBA and launching my first product. Although it is not profitable yet, the resources available have allowed me to overcome every hurdle and give me the confidence to keep going

I joined in January 2024 and found the guidance practical, structured, and reassuring. The step-by-step support helped me overcome initial fears around sourcing from China, and I quickly placed my first test order, which sold out and boosted my confidence.

The coaching calls, training sessions, and Slack community were supportive and informative, covering product research, ads optimisation, and supplier processes. Successfully identifying a fast-selling product during RA was especially encouraging.

The programme has been extremely valuable—particularly the mindset training, accountability, and practical skills like improving listings with Canva. Overall, it has played a key role in building my confidence, skills, and consistency.

(See update at bottom, changed from 2 stars to 1 Star as a result) I purchased Oliver’s E-commerce freedom course back in October 2025, about 3 months ago now. It would be fair to say that for the last few weeks I’ve not attended any of the online courses/groups etc but I did for the first few weeks and started to get the feeling this was not for me and the claims that were being made initially to draw me in were misleading. The marketplace on Amazon is now incredibly saturated and promises of giving students lists of ‘smash hit’ products slightly fall by the wayside because these products are being given on a plate to potentially hundreds of people, if they all jump on board with the same products then they’re no longer a smash hit as those items then become saturated too.

I was not aware before purchasing that the one to one coaching I’d receive would be via a third party and that the majority of email responses would be from an AI assistant or someone else employed by Oliver. The coach I was given was underprepared and didn’t seem to have any structure to his coaching, the first session he spent half of the time trying to find me examples on Amazon of different things but he couldn’t find what he was looking for and so i felt the time was wasted and I didn’t learn anything from it, equally responses on Voxer were initially slow and unhelpful although when I mentioned this they did seem to be more frequent but I didn’t always find them helpful.

I was astonished one day when I received an email from this assistant telling me that they would provide me with more smash hit products if I left a review of someone I’d never heard of and so it seemed this was some sort of scheme to get ‘real’ reviews from people that ultimately couldn’t vouch for the service they were reviewing which would render them false but at least real humans were writing them. They clarified later this was not what they were asking but it certainly sounded like it and as a result I started to do more online research which did suggest that this course is not all that it seems, although I’m not suggesting it’s an out and out scam, it’s not, it’s just somewhat misleading. For example, I receive almost daily emails from Oliver, using AI which makes it seems totally inauthentic, and at the bottom will be an offer to join him for one to one coaching, actually with him and not a third party coach, and that it’s a limited time offer at just £5000 instead of £10,000. He states he only has 5 spaces to fill but that exact same email has been sent for over two months which makes it seem like not a genuine offer unless of course absolutely nobody has signed upto it and given that i was close to I suspect that’s not the case and I’m sure Oliver would not state that nobody has purchased this course as it would not be a good advertisement for the service but on the other hand, if he has had customers subscribe to this ‘limited time’ offer, then his offer should have expired by now or been updated but according to another online review of his service he’s been using this ‘limited time offer’ since 2024, that’s not limited in my view and whilst it doesn’t point to a scam it does point to misleading statements and I found the course to be littered with these. I was interested in having Oliver work with me on my new website as he is undeniably knowledgable but these warning signs and red flags have really put me off and I thought it only fair to write an honest review so that others can make up their own minds.

UPDATE - On 28th January I received an email from Oliver, it’s clearly been sent to his whole email list of contacts, offering 97% discount off his learning materials with a lot of ‘bonus’ content, as others have mentioned in previous reviews and other online reviews of his courses they monetary amounts that he seems to attribute to each item is highly questionable, for example he states that if you purchase for 97% off you’ll get a bonus 1-1 call with Olly himself and that this usually costs £995… what? A grand??? Having had a 1-1 call with Olly before I wouldn’t have paid more than £50 for it so this seems insane. Worse off, the body of the email explains the reason for this high level discount - He’s not got enough money to pay his tax bill. Fair enough, but when other products have a refund guarantee then how can you pay those refunds if you cannot pay your tax bill? Why does such a successful amazon seller not have savings they can use? It brings up a lot of questions and only solidifies the doubts I had and now makes me certain to say… avoid!!!

I’ve been watching Oliver Denyer’s YouTube videos, along with other Amazon-selling content creators. Ollie often talks about big earnings and makes the process of selling on Amazon sound very simple, which I find hard to believe. His program is also one of the most expensive compared to others, particularly when considering the value it offers.
Because of this, I’ve always been quite sceptical. After reading the negative reviews, I felt my concerns were justified. I also noticed a sudden wave of positive reviews afterwards, which felt suspicious, almost as if they were written by people close to him.
Overall, he doesn’t come across as trustworthy to me, and I’ve decided not to sign up for any of his programs, especially since other creators offer better content

Ollie’s course is easy to follow and very informative I would definitely recommend.
There are two weekly coaching calls that are informative and inspiring and motivational. He’s a genuine guy who cares about his clients success, from setting goals to mindset he covers arbitrage and private label he recommends small quantities to sell on Amazon as test batches
There’s always a mentor to ask questions on the voxer app if I’m stuck on anything, and my emails are promptly answered . 5 stars thank-you 😀

Ollies programme is class full of great information to help get started and the weekly group chats help you grow into the FBA business bit by bit and also have lots of modules to study and learn from.

I just wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on the masterclasses. They have been incredibly helpful and informative, particularly when I was in the process of setting up my Amazon account and sending products to FBA. The videos are straightforward and easy to follow, which has boosted my confidence significantly. Thanks to the clear guidance provided, I now feel capable of ordering products independently.

Fantastic content which guides you through your journey from being a beginner to a fully fledged Amazon seller. I’ve been a part of Ollie’s E-commerce Freedom now for 3 months and have made great strides which I definitely would not have done without it. And saving me making costly mistakes too.
It is quite obvious to me that not only is Ollie THE guru in his field, but actually cares and does not shy away from difficult questions, is always honest and actually does what he says he is going to do.
I can see clearly what my future holds if I continue to take action, work hard and invest a little too.
Do not be confused here, this is not a get rich quick scheme. To build a great business, you need to work hard, have the knowledge (which is included within this course) and invest in your (s) and your business’ future.
