Course material good, heavy handed sales and support not
Edit : Downgraded from 2 to 1 star after their support team blocked the $50 course extension from their shop, directed me back to an aggressive sales funnel where they want to charge me circa $1100-1500 for literally the same thing. No explanation given as to why my $50 purchase was apparently a 'mistake' and just redirected to the same support loop of half answered questions.
Whilst the course material is of good quality, the hard sales tactics and unhelpfulness of support mean I can't really recommend this organisation compared to others.
In my case a simple request for a price to extend access to ecourseware and ILabs has turned into circa 2 weeks of trying to drag even the simplest of information out of the support team and attempts to charge me the full price (circa $1500-3000) of the complete course for an extension that...after randomly checking on Gemini...I could purchase it for $50 (edit : a few days later this appears to have been blocked, despite by all accounts this gives me exactly what I've been asking for, and directed back to their aggressive sales tactic funnel)
I would have purchased other courses from them and recommended them as a training source for my clients, but the heavy-handed and opaque sales tactic blunts the overall experience.

Unfortunately, this response reinforces my original concern. I have already been in contact with EC-Council support and explained the situation in detail, yet the reply here appears to be a generic template that does not address the actual issues raised in my review.
My concern was never simply a technical problem. It was the fact that I was unable to schedule my exam for weeks due to issues between EC-Council and its authorized testing center, while the validity period of my voucher continued to decrease.
What made the situation even more frustrating was that GOPAS and EC-Council repeatedly provided contradictory information. While EC-Council stated that issues had been resolved, GOPAS continued to report ongoing problems administering examinations and was unable to offer testing under normal conditions. As a customer, I should not have to determine which party is providing accurate information.
As someone who purchased a package including four exam attempts, the lost time matters, especially given the waiting periods between retakes.
I hope EC-Council will focus on addressing the substance of customer concerns rather than providing standard responses that do not reflect the issues being raised.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience regarding the CEH certification package purchased through GOPAS and EC-Council.
One of the key reasons I purchased this package was that it included a total of four exam attempts. However, when I attempted to schedule my exam, I was informed that GOPAS was unable to administer CEH examinations due to technical issues that were being investigated with EC-Council.
As a paying customer, I found myself caught between GOPAS and EC-Council, with neither side providing clear information about when the issue would be resolved. Despite holding a valid voucher, I was unable to book and take the exam as planned.
The situation is particularly frustrating because the CEH retake policy includes mandatory waiting periods between certain attempts. While my voucher validity continues to decrease, I am unable to use it due to issues outside of my control. As a result, there is a real risk that I may not have enough time to utilize all four attempts included in the package I paid for.
I raised this concern directly with EC-Council and requested a voucher extension to compensate for the time lost while I was unable to schedule the exam. Unfortunately, my request was effectively dismissed, with the response focusing only on the current voucher expiration date rather than addressing the fact that I had already lost valuable time because the exam could not be booked.
Communication has also been inconsistent and confusing. I received contradictory information regarding exam administration and retake conditions, requiring multiple emails simply to understand what applies to my voucher. Even after contacting EC-Council directly, I struggled to obtain clear answers regarding the impact of these issues on my ability to use the benefits included with my purchase.
What is most disappointing is the lack of ownership of the problem. As a customer, I should not have to mediate between a training provider and a certification vendor while losing valuable time on a voucher that I have already paid for.
For a globally recognized cybersecurity certification provider, I expected significantly better planning, communication, transparency, and customer support.
Based on my experience, the certification content may be valuable, but the administrative and customer experience surrounding the examination process has been far below expectations.
