I had an extremely frustrating experience with eBook Writing Experts, and I want to warn others before they fall for this scam.
They pretend to be a U.S.-based publishing company, but after some research, I discovered that they are actually operating from Karachi, Pakistan—NOT Florida as they claim. If a company is lying about its location, that should tell you everything you need to know.
Red Flags & Deceptive Practices:
Fake U.S. Presence – They claim to be based in Florida, but their actual operations are in Karachi, Pakistan. This is a major red flag for a business that is already suspicious.
No Proof of Published Work – Despite claiming to have published multiple books, they could only provide one vague example, and even that seemed questionable.
Refusal to Answer Questions – Every time I asked for specifics (such as marketing proof, real author testimonials, or details about their editors), they either dodged the question or gave generic responses.
Forcing an NDA for No Reason – They insisted that I sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before even working with them, which is completely unnecessary for an author looking to self-publish.
Hidden Fees & Payment Pressure – They initially claimed $500 covered everything but later started mentioning extra costs. They also demanded an upfront payment before any work was done.
Fake Money-Back Guarantee – They claim to offer refunds but refuse to provide clear terms. Once you pay, you’re unlikely to get your money back.
Final Warning:
This company is not a legitimate publisher. Their goal is to lure in unsuspecting authors, take their money, and provide little (if any) real service. If you’re serious about publishing your book, stay far away from eBook Writing Experts and look for reputable services with real author testimonials and verifiable success stories.
