I would give this company zero stars if I could. Ordered 12 days ago and still awaiting my order. I have made numerous calls to customer services and I’m still waiting for someone to handle my query about my missing order. Terrible experience. Such a shame- Great cheese, but customer service stinks.
Lost a loyal customer
I have been a loyal customer for some years, I love this product.
However, my recent purchase will be my last one.
The product was delivered in a box with some brown paper, no ice packs, no insulation. Despite bringing the box in immediately the contents were hot and sweaty.
Three of the items were mouldy.
I have received no feedback from the company.

Tasty cheese - but...
Tasty cheese when it's received and it's not mouldy.
I only received half my order so I had to raise a query. To be fair the rest of the order was dispatched relatively swiftly.
When I opened the packaging 3 blocks of cheese were covered in blue mould. If it was only a little bit I would have cut it off, but the whole blocks of cheese were inedible.
The temperature controlled packaging isn't cold at all on receipt.
I raised a second complaint stating that three blocks were mouldy and I was compensated with just two blocks.
Again to be fair to the company, they provided me with a refund faster than any company I had ever dealt with.
The product is good, excellent even. Going forward I'll probably only buy the cheese from shops where the supply chain may be more refridgerated.

Have been ordering from them for well over a year and my last order will be my last.
I have had a fair few orders with mouldy items and they take ages to get back to you with any resolution.
Latest order was meant to be shipped on the 28th May as we are out of the country and I had confirmation from Katie Whiston this would be the case. Anyway, they decided to ignore this and deliver it on Friday 24th anyway so it has now been sitting on my door step for 3 days and will continue to sit there for another 2 until we are home. Have tried to contact them but they are as ever difficult to contact so I am over £35 out of pocket and when I get back from holiday will have a soaking wet (it’s been raining) box of sweaty mouldy cheese to deal with!
Will never be ordering again after this experience!

Love the cheese but such a shame they aren’t more available in stores. Postage costs are high unless you spend over £35 and I just wouldn’t get through that much cheese before it goes off. It used to be available in Aldi but isn’t anymore and only the grated version seems to be in supermarkets now. Please release the full range to shops!!!
Terrible service
Orders go missing, you’ll then not be able to communicate with customer services, and if you expect your money back, you could read War and Peace and still be waiting.
Like the products, but the customer service is frustrating and not what it used to be
I've been ordering Eatlean for over 5 years, since April 2019, and really like the products. In the early days the customer service used to be really good (bring back Austen!) But it's really gone down hill since then, and dealing with any issue now is really frustrating.
This latest occasion has so far gone as below and still with no resolution -
- 21st Mar, I email with photos re cheese that is moldy before its best before date
- Approx. end of Mar - I chase again as no reply received
- 9th April - I finally get a reply - but just asking me to fill in a complaint form with the same info I sent back in March
- 11th April - I get feedback saying a refund has been issued and will be received in a few days
- 23rd April - still no refund - I chase again
- 30th April - I get a reply saying 'I've checked and your refund was done this morning' - yeah right, just a coincidence then?
- 10th May - (7 weeks later!) still no refund!
The previous occasion I had to get in touch was also incredibly frustrating. I was simply asking a question about the pricing of a bundle, as the items/sizes that were sent could have been bought separately less than the price of the bundle. I just kept getting replies back saying send a photo of your order to prove what's missing. I lost track of the number of times I replied saying nothing was missing, and in the end I gave up on the original question as I couldn't get an answer! (And the replies weren't that friendly either.)
You need to look at your customer service Eatlean - I'm a longstanding customer, but you're not as easy and pleasant to deal with as you used to be.
Cheese was mouldy when opened
Cheese was mouldy when opened, months before its use by date. For mould to grow inside the package, there has to be something wrong at the manufacturing end.
Eatlean protein cheese slices
UPDATE: I received a full refund from Eatlean shortly after they received my complaint - very impressed by how they handled it. No explanation was provided for issue with the product, so don't feel confident to order that particular item again.
Original review: I ordered the Eatlean protein cheese slices for convenience, but in the two packs I've opened so far every slice is stuck together and impossible to separate. Totally pointless. A shame because I think the cheese itself is great. I've made a complaint and will update here when they respond
Late order
Late order, emailed their team to ask where my order was because it was late and I was moving house. Their auto response says they’re getting through a back log of emails (probably complaints). So I messaged on socials and explained the urgency (gave the order number) and their social team instead of passing along the message to their own team told me to go away and email the correct team. Great customer service clearly don’t care about their customers experience!

Received mouldy cheese in inadequate packaging
Received mouldy cheese in inadequate packaging and it took 5 days just to respond to my initial email reporting it. Based on reviews here and on socials, there is clearly a quality control issue at Eatlean - probably why their customer service is so poor and they've removed their phone number from the public domain. The fact that mouldy cheese is a drop down on their complaint form is probably an indicator of how often they must get these complaints. Will see how long it takes for them to process my refund. Would never buy from them again based on this experience.

9 days to deliver, some items moldy no refund or replacement
Item hadn't arrived after a week, no customer service response. 9 days after order it arrived, warm and some items had got mold on them upon opening. Customer service are aware of this and one month after originally ordering I still don't have a replacement or refund. 2 stars as the cheese unaffected was lovely.

Tried to contact through website but no response.

Sadly had 4 of 9 block were mouldy and I am unable to get customer service support for replacement. This was in Feb when best before was May 24. Been eating for years and in the past cheese gone 2 months over date with no problem. I hope they fix the problem, admit it and replace - then I will be back buying again.
19/4/24: Inceased to 4 stars, it took a couple of emails to resolve but Eatlean does care about their customer and does work to do the right thing. I will be ordering again

Mouldy cheese
They sent me a block of mouldy cheese (within bbe date) in my last order. I completed the online form as requested on 15 March & attached photographs. Customer service was previously good, now it's absolutely appalling: no follow up to my phone calls & emails. Have unsubscribed & will never buy from them again. Do not buy from this company.

DO NOT BUY SHORT DATE CHEESE
I made an order of the original and tasty on 3rd March, received it on 5th March and used a bit. I stored them in the fridge as required. On the 7th of March, poured the tasty over the original to use for meal prep, only to find mould in the tasty cheese.
This resulted to me having to discard both the original and tasty due to fear of food poisoning. I emailed customer service immediately to request a redelivery or a refund as the bbe date for the mature cheese was the 23rd of March but turned mouldy before the bbe. It is almost 2 weeks and there is no reply, 0 stars for customer service.

STAY AWAY
I’ve given the business more than a week in goodwill to respond to my emails and phone calls. NOTHING.
I ordered their big fridge topper or whatever is called for the first time after getting some of their cheese from a supermarket. Upon arrival I put almost all of it in the freezer. The one packet I kept out had mold in multiple spots. It’s unopened and the seal hasn’t been broken. Had to throw it all away because I couldn’t tell what was moldy or frosted (given I only saw the moldy packet the next morning and by then the rest of it was frozen.
Also, for anyone thinking I could have eaten the non moldy one…. A head of cheese can develop mold in the rind and it’s fine. For sliced and grated cheese to have mold visible means that the mold is into the cheese and probably the whole batch. OR there is contamination in the packaging process. The packet is still in my fridge if the company has any questions. Seal intact.
