Our experience with Easyweb has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. From your perspective, the situation feels completely unacceptable. You believe your website was effectively taken over without your consent, and since then, all communication has been cut off with no explanation.

What makes this even more concerning to you is the understanding that the company was dissolved several years ago, yet it still appears to be operating or advertising services. This raises serious questions in your mind about professionalism, transparency, and legitimacy.

Overall, you feel let down by what you describe as a lack of accountability and communication, and the entire experience has left you viewing the service as unprofessional and deeply unreliable.

Easy-web, are dishonest. Initially they contacted me regarding free funding ( of £800 per website that they receive) via a food festival I attended. I was skeptical at first but contacted a couple of their other websites made by them who confirmed it was genuine. They state in an email you will own a 4 page website, with alterations and domain name. Initially I thought they were pretty good and Gerard told me, as I asked , that I could leave at any time and take my website with me. At a later date I found out it ranked low on Google and to optimize it by adding 5 words was £250 or 10 words was £400 for a year. It was stupid money so I didn't bother. I usually paid either over the phone or by bank transfer for my hosting. However, last year they took the money out of my account without my permission and no invoice provided until after they took the money out of my account. (Please see my other review on easy-web.co.uk on trustpilot.) I was certainly not happy! This year as my hosting is coming to an end, I asked for all the details and passwords , they refuse to give them to me as they said I don't own it. Gerard stated they want £800 , but as a gesture of good will £400. Easy-web contacted me initially, I did not contact them, Gerard said its all in the Ts and Cs. I have asked for the terms and conditions as non were provided to me. They haven't even had the decency to get back to me . I wont be giving them anymore money, I feel they are dishonest, and reading the other reviews no doubt they will want to charge me an inflated price for my domain too, but I will review that as and when the time arises. My experience is that sadly this company clearly lacks transparency and clearly are not trustworthy whatsoever!

Now easy-web.co.uk. Same as other users stories I'm afraid. Stole my web domain and tried to charge me £99 to transfer it. My website does not have a security cert he tried to tell me that cost another £180 which I refused to pay. Every year they call me and give me about 2 hours notice to renew. This year, I didn't want to renew as my business is heading a new direction and I'm phasing it out, and they cut off the website/email straight away and then sent me an extortionate invoice for the domain name transfer!

The price is good, the people are professional, and the AI is incredible.

EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME, THEY TRIED TO STEAL MY DOMAIN NAME AND CHARGE ME £180+VAT TO GET IT BACK!
I WENT TO NOMINET WHO HELPED ME RETRIEVE IT FOR £10
I WOULD ADVISE DOING THIS AND AVOID PAYING THIS RIP OFF COMPANY A PENNY.
USELESS SEO PACKAGES DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AS IT WILL NOT HELP YOUR BUSINESS.
GRAEME THE SO CALLED MANAGER IS USELESS AND RUDE. TRIED TO CHARGE ME TO MAKE SMALL ADJUSTMENTS LIKE ADDING IMAGES ETC. SO GLAD I GOT AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I HAVE FOUND A GREAT HOSTING COMPANY TO WORK WITH NOW IF ANYONE NEEDS A RECO. AVOID THIS COMPANY. IF YOU SEE THEM RUN A MILE OR YOU WILL REGRET IT

It's insane

This company took my own domain. At the beginning i provided my own domain (previously owned lond time) - pictures-text to build up my site.
I asked about the ownership of the domain and they confirmed is always will be mine.
At the end they asking money(£99+Vat but as Christmas offer they reduced to £50+VAT) in returne my own domain what i gave them with trust and for free.
At the date of expiry I asked to allow me to pay for the domain renewal as the owner ,but they refused my request and simple let it expire .
All sounds good at the beginning.
But miss leading and at the end they don't care Of course according to they T&C ,not take any responsibility for any damage caused.

Switched off my site earlier as i was too busy to have a look all dates. Applied a huge pressure over the phone to renew one more year straight away!!

I am highly considering legal action as they damaged my business profile and so on took something from me what they not belongs to and is should not happen!!!

DO NOT USE THEM!!!! THIEF COMPANY!!!!

This company, Easy web called me if I need a website for £99. I said I need something with card payment they said we will, and transferred £270 they sent me a simple even myself could do better than them. I asked for the money I only get back £90. latter on called them again the lady hanged up the call on me. save your money and never go with them.

Signed up for special offer with low expectations on quality but actually site was just what I needed. Thanks.

My website has just gone live and I couldn't be happier. Great service from all the team especially Josh who was super helpful :)

I had been with this company almost a year.
They hassled me from the star.
After paying them their £99 plus vat for my domain name and website, they rang about two months later telling me I should have an upgrade, I was new to this world and fell for it! So another £99 plus vat for the so called "upgrade" and the most shocking part, and unbeknown to me they had kept my credit card details on file and put payment through instantly. I emailed and demanded that my credit card information was taken off file as I had not agreed to this.
Roll on another 6 months, another barrage of phone calls of further grief and bully tactics being told I needed an SSL licence yet this was supposed to be included in the upgrade? I refused I didn't want it.
So what do they do next, they ring again and more text messages and calls telling me I needed to go e-commerce as it was a "no brainer" and was given another companies figures who are in a similar field to us to try and get me to go on line! Still they never listened to me explaining why I could not and did not want to go e-commerce. My page was a landing page only.
So fast forward to renewal time:
The past 3 weeks of more hassle, from phone calls to text messages telling me my website was due to "expire soon" and I needed to renew immediately!
Four days ago, they stepped up the hassle, that if I did not pay up the website would be taken down! My reply was I had business to run, extremely busy and as it wasn't due until the 11/9/21 I still had a few days to sort out, it was on my own list of jobs to do and would not be intimidated by them as I now really was fed up with them and yes give them credit....They were good to their word, they took it down! 4 days early!!
My best advice for anyone is unless you like being hassled, safe your money and go elsewhere

I signed up on the £99+vat offer with low expectations however I couldn't be more thrilled with the whole experience. My website looks amazing and the service I received was 5 star. Thanks Easyweb

I was cold called by this company who said they had received subsidies to finance them to offer free websites to craftspeople (or artists?) they had seen my website and thought it needed updating.. I know that and have wanted to get it improved as some of my paintings were posted uncropped when I had no computer at the time. The caller said I would only have to pay the £99 + vat for my domain. I said I've paid already for my domain and it would be up for renewal soon. he said I could transfer it to them from my server then. I wasn't sure if that was a correct procedure but I checked to see if they were a bona fide web co and they seemed to be but mainly did craftspeople but I decided to do the payment as the "free" offer was attractive. I agreed he could use my existing photos and text to re vamp the web I said not to post anything uncropped and I wanted better ..fonts for the texts. Some days later I was sent a link to see the new web. I was horrified to see that my paintings had been used like a collage and cut up and juxtaposed.. Some were hopelessly cropped and posted as thumbnails. irrelevant information about me was foremost and they had taken photos from my Facebook account to post without my permission. They stated I was willing to chat with anyone and tried to give a map of where I lived .. I was shocked and said they must remove it and I wanted a refund of the £118 as they had taken it to pay themselves for trashing my work. They removed the website link but have kept the money for their rubbish free offer.
