Anmeldelser for Rapid Set Postmix

Rapid Set Postmix is a 20kg pre-blended post-setting material manufactured by Carlton for fixing timber, metal and concrete posts. It is poured into the prepared post hole and activated with clean water, so there is no need to batch cement and aggregates or use separate mixing equipment. For fencing work where several posts need to be set in sequence, that simpler method can make it easier to keep the installation moving. The mix begins setting quickly, with the supplied product guidance stating an initial set of approximately five to ten minutes. Position the post first, check it is plumb and correctly aligned, then keep it steady while the postmix takes hold. This is particularly important on a longer fence run, where a small error at one post can affect the alignment of the bays that follow. Our fence post length calculator can help when deciding the post length before digging. The supplied guidance recommends allowing around two bags per post for quantity planning. Actual requirements will depend on the hole and installation, so calculate the project before ordering rather than relying on a fixed bag count for every situation. The post mix calculator provides a practical starting point when estimating larger fencing jobs. Rapid Set Postmix can be used when installing suitable wooden fence posts as well as metal and concrete posts. The 20kg bag has a showerproof polythene outer intended to cope with normal site storage conditions, but the packaging should remain intact and the dry contents protected until use. Once water is introduced, the setting reaction starts, so have the post positioned and any temporary bracing ready beforehand. This grey postmix is intended specifically for setting posts rather than general-purpose concreting. If you are planning the complete fencing system, check the post type, post length, hole dimensions and quantity of mix together before starting. Other materials for post installation can be found in our cement products range.
