Expired and opened products – serious compliance risks for buyers
Serious warning to buyers, Amazon sellers, distributors, and brand owners.
My order from Eany.io contained products that were unsafe, non-compliant, and not suitable for resale.
The issues affected multiple product lines, including Metylan and Meross:
– Metylan adhesive products were more than two years expired, with expiry dates covered by stickers
– Several Metylan boxes were opened, resealed, and clearly not new
– Adhesive leakage contaminated other items in the shipment
– Meross electronic products arrived with broken seals and damaged packaging
– Some products showed visible signs of prior handling
– Documentation provided was not valid for Amazon or other EU marketplaces
– Multiple batches showed inconsistent labeling and signs of repackaging
These conditions raise serious concerns regarding product authenticity, traceability, and compliance with EU safety requirements.
When I reported the issues, the company:
– refused responsibility,
– attempted to shift blame,
– required me to pay return shipping costs,
despite the fact that EU law obliges sellers to bear costs for defective or non-conforming goods.
I was forced to return the products at my own expense, despite providing clear evidence.
I hold full photographic documentation of expired dates, covered labels, opened seals, damaged packaging, and non-compliant documentation.

All Metylan products in the first order were expired and unsafe.
Meross products arrived in a condition that prevented verification of conformity and safe use.
Under EU law, internal “policies” do not override legal obligations.
The entity placing goods on the EU market bears full responsibility, regardless of upstream suppliers.
Based on documented defects and evidence, I fully stand by my original warning.
