Great company, very reliable. Fixed an issue and were amazing with follow up.

Booked car hire for pick up Cairns downtown and drop off Cairns airport for March this year. Picking up the car was super easy and we got an upgrade to a nice new 4x4. Drop off at the airport again was very easy with just a key drop. The whole process with Driveaway was great and we paid for the excess cover so no other insurances had to be paid on pick up.

My wife and i are planning a road trip from Darwin to Perth and we looked at several companies offering one way rentals. Drive Away were by far the cheapest deal available with other providers quoting between 45 and 100 % more. After receiving the quote, i had follow up emails as reminders to contact Drive Away and book a car, which i found beneficial in organising such a important aspect of the trip. When i did book the vehicle i also found the customer service representative to be very helpful.Good customer experience.

Car was clean in great condition and drove from Melbourne to Sydney with no issues at all. Great service once you return it as well as picking up. Highly recommend!

I booked a car for 22 days. I reveived an email saying "Thank you for your booking. Your credit card payment was successful and within a few minutes you will receive a confirmation email stating we have received your booking, along with your voucher which is required at time of collection." Booking nr 4106203.
5 hrs later i get a call saying there is a "subject to availablity" somewhere on the site (can't find it) and the only similar vehichle they can offer me is now more than double the price (over $5000). I do not trust this site.
Their email did state "If your request in this instance is unavailable we will contact you with an alternative." But then the alternative was almost $3000 MORE!

I have used Driveaway for an overseas hire and found them to be fantastic when we had ot cancel due to Covid19. This is my first domestic hire and once again found them to be very competitive and helpful.

Always easy to navigate the website, car descriptions are helpful, especially luggage symbols. Like being able to make my reservation online, even 48hours out. After many years of using Driveaway I trust the pricing enough I don't bother shopping around anymore.
Being able to pay the excess reduction insurance, gives me peace of mind and half the cost of all the extra insurances you get slugged with on collection of your vehicle. Being able to prepay and present a voucher is so simple and hassle free when you go to pick up your car.

Karen in reservations, and others in the team have been so helpful in making the initial booking. On top of that, their assistance and kind understanding due to the problems with COVID19 causing a need to adjust, then cancel the booking have really impressed me. I will be using their service as soon as I can in the future. Thank you very much.

Booking process was straightforward. Price was good. We needed to decrease our length of booking by a week. I emailed the team they responded quickly and the change was made effortlessly with a refund on the way. Excellent service.

Booking system seems to work ok. Remains to be seen what the full experience is like.
