As far as creating a video goes, Doodly deserves a solid 4-star rating. The drawing tools and output quality are good, and the initial build process is fairly intuitive.

However, when it comes to editing and revising a project, the experience is extremely poor and frustrating. The software is very user-unfriendly once you need to go back and make changes.

Slides cannot be grouped with their corresponding voice-overs, which makes it impossible to move slides and audio together. If you need to insert a new slide in the middle of a project, all subsequent voice-overs shift out of sync and no longer match their slides.

This turns even small edits into a major headache. For this reason alone, the overall rating drops significantly to a -3. What should be a simple revision process becomes a nightmare.

I bought it but don't use it because on my own computer, I have to log into the app every single time I want to use it. On top of that, the company keeps coming up with new ways to change the login process. It’s gotten to the point where they force you to install some Voomly thing on your computer just to be able to log in. I don’t recommend it. If I had known it would be like this, I wouldn’t have bought it.

Man kommt innerhalb von ein paar Minuten rein und kann tolle Videos erstellen! Und wenn man doch mal nicht weiterkommt, gibt es super Tutorials im Netz.

Nachtrag: Ich hab die Bewertung von 5 auf 2 Sterne korrigiert. Grund ist der Login über Voomly Cloud, der nur in 50 Prozent der Fälle funktioniert und viel Zeit raubt. Ist jetzt schon länger so und wird wohl nicht korrigiert. Login über Mail wird demnächst leider deaktiviert. Das Programm ist dadurch sehr unzuverlässig geworden.

1 star only because the rendering that takes years to accomplish for a 2 minute is enough for you to want to throw a pot of plant off the balcony.
Do better! This is 2024, almost 2025 - not 1999.

Don't do the trial! Trial on Doodly will not get cancelled and you will still pay on Voomly. They are now trying to scam people by making it hard to unsubscribe/cancel subscription.

I paid a one time payment and added some extras. I did not use it for a long time because of poor health. I recently tried my account and it did not work. I tried the help line and can not get any response except you have not responded so we are canceling your ticket. I responded numerous times. asked for a phone number and nothing. It is now called Voomly

I just signed up for the $67 offer for lifetime access and was offered a $97 offer on top of that to get what I thought I was getting originally. If you want ALL the stuff you will pay more than double just to get it.

Then I was offered cloud storage and a sales funnel system for additional pricing.

I resent this money grab before I even downloaded the software. You are presented with a series of upsells that "you will never be offered again".

The price is actually $164 ($67 + $97). They are extremely deceptive more than doubling your price to get what seemed to be advertised in the original price.

I run a business and would never do this to customers I wish to have a relationship with.

So, I can only assume they don’t care about the customers or the relationship they have with them but rather, see this as a volume business and each customer as an opportunity to squeeze money out of.

I purchased Doodly a few years ago. I had intentions of using the platform but went another direction. Since then I have been paying the fees despite my effort to cancel. I cannot access my account and you can only communicate with these people through email. Which would be fine if they ever responded to anything.

I purchased Doodly some 3-4 years ago and have been using it since then. Have made some Doodle Ads for our Institute. Its super awesome. Although, I feel you need to provide an Update for Animated characters in it.
I like the Email Support. Very prompt reply.

I purchased the Doodlemaker app, and up until now, I haven't received access for login. Has anyone else experienced this same issue with Doodlemaker?

They are overpriced for the market compared to others, Software starts at 67$, then another upgrade to enterprise for 97$ more. Their customer support is friendly, but not good.

The software would actually be nice, if they wouldn't focus on profit more than customer satisfaction! The pricing for the plans is not transparent at all. Also, that login and purchasing in another app/site (voomly) is more complicated than it would have to be.

After spending $755 on Doodly products all of my work, purchase records, and account was completely wiped out after an update that I initially ignored because I was in middle of a project. When I finally accepted the update I lost everything! You can't call Doodly for support. Your only option is to email and it takes hours or most often, the following day for them to get back to you. It has proven not to be a reliable source of marketing because I've had to go through the recovery process with them more times that I can count. I've even had projects just disappear out of nowhere that I know I did not delete! They just dismiss my poor experiences and close out my requests for help when I get to frustrated to keep explaining the same things to them. Now their system is stating that I haven't made any purchases and will only prompt me to purchase again. Although, they did manage to keep my name and contact information.. I am beyond frustrated! The product itself is good (when it works.) However, their customer support is terrible!

Purchased and realised the software does not suit my needs, so I emailed them to make use of the 30-day money back guarantee twice and they are ignoring me.

Doodly was recommended by a friend of mine who is a teacher and she uses it in her online class and I wanted to do something similar. I was hesitant at first because of a few reviews I read about customer service and login issues, so I reached out to their customer service team before I even purchased with questions and they were helpful. I also reviewed their You Tube videos to see what the software did and how to install it. I did have an issue when I purchased and that was I put a typo into my email address so I didn't get the login or receipt. I contacted support a second time and they resolved the issue within an hour. I like using Doodly alot! I wish it could add color drawings without paying more but it does what I need it to do and my students have said it's a much more interesting way to learn about economics so I am pleased.

Paid the fee and can't log in. They want you to use other apps to log in but the other apps do not recognize my email. No way to reach them by phone or chat. Must be done through email. Nothing was sent to my email about the purchase, so I checked my bank and the charge is there pending.

I bought Doodley a little over a year ago, but due to some medical problems, I couldn't use it immediately. After recovering, I tried to use it, but they ignored me. I can't seem to contact anyone; I only get an automated response. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm out more than $300. Be cautious when buying from a company that's difficult to reach, and avoid spending your hard-earned money without proper communication.

Terrible customer service.A total rip off. I bought Doodly a couple years ago and my computer crashed with all my credentials and now they can’t find any record of me purchasing. Any company that sells a lifetime product and “loses” purchase records and won’t help is not one to do business with. Buyer beware!

This horrible company contacted me to only call me a liar about saying I bought their software. Really? Why would I just pick their company out of thin air and fabricate a story? To save $67? That’s rediculous. This customer service is the worst and their claim of lifetime support is so false. Once they have your money they don’t care. I would suggest not working with a bad company like this. Maybe if the word gets out then when you would need support that all records of your purchase are mysteriously gone and you’ll be called a liar when you confront this two bit outfit. Thales my $67 and enjoy it. You won’t be doing business with me again and I hope everyone spreads the word that this so called company is not reputable.
