I recently purchased two courses on Docker and Kubernetes from Dometrain, and as I write this review, I've nearly completed the main portion of the Docker course.

I wanted to highlight two aspects that stood out to me:

1. During the purchase process, I encountered a minor issue, but the Dometrain team responded quickly and courteously. Their prompt assistance was greatly appreciated.

2. I really admire the instructor's approach to teaching. They have a clear ability to explain concepts and progress through the topics effectively, which showcases their strong background and expertise in the subject matter.

We had some issues accessing our invoices, and Nick, the owner, was very patient and helpful in resolving this problem for us, he communicated consistently and promptly. Regarding the courses themselves, they are very well presented.

The courses are great but for me living in the U.S., some of the teachers have thick accents that make learn a bit of a challenge.
Also the yearly price...its the most expensive price for an individual that I've come across.
It doesn't have the breath of course for such a high price.

In the past, my previous roles have always provided a Pluralsight subscription for me. When the company decided to reevaluate this, I found Dometrain!

As far as relevant .NET content, it blows anything else out of the water. Content is perfectly curated, super relevant. It's amazing.

On several occasions, I've pulled learnings straight from here and was able to use those to solve real life problems at work.

Was interested in taking advantage of the ongoing summer sale, bought 2 courses (order #2413-3992) which on the website the cart total after the 30% discount was indicating £104.99. After confirming the payment on Apple Pay for this figure, turns out I was actually charged £125.99, which I only realised after checking my bank statement.

Your website should be transparent enough to let customers know exactly what to expect as far as the total amount they will be charged for. It's very hard for me to believe you make "best effort to show the most accurate number on our site" - if you did, this wouldn't have happened and I wouldn't have gone ahead with the purchase in the first place.

It clearly does NOT include all the relevant charges. Quoting from your email "When your billing address isn't explicitly added at checkout on Stripe's page, and it's only part of your Apple Pay checkout, Apple will take the billing address associated with that card and add VAT retroactively as a financial security measure..." - RETROSPECTIVELY being the keyword here, meaning the price showing on the website wasn't the same price being charged.

IF THE PRICE WAS CORRECT to begin with I wouldn't be here wasting my time.

The selection of courses at Dometrain for the .NET space is very well curated and covers both beginner's needs as well as deep dives into various topics. I like the idea that the courses are split between "getting started" and "deep dive".

The best courses I have seen so far. Clear and precise, with important points well explained.

For beginners and senior developers, an excellent source of information, problem-solving, and suggestions.

I have been a long running channel subscriber of Nick's YouTube channel. As a former Microsoft employee who worked in Developer Tools, I always found Nick's videos to be just the right amount of information packed into a YouTube video with the highest signal to noise ratio. It's tough keeping up with what's going on Microsoft when you no longer work there. :)

I've been exposed to lots of different learning platforms like Pluralsight, LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft Learn, etc. Those alternatives will get you a high-level set of information but what you often miss is the real-world, practical experience to apply that knowledge.

Nick has brought together the best industry experts that bring the best practical guidance to you in the shortest amount of time necessary. Don't get me wrong: there's nothing that is missed that you should know. The course authors have just constructed them brilliantly to strike that right balance.

So, if you want to use your limited amount of time available to jump into practical knowledge, Dometrain is where you want to be for investing in yourself.

The courses are of high quality, and you immediately notice that the course authors have been working in the industry, rather than only having theoretical knowledge. Their practical knowledge is beneficial if you would like to advance in your .NET career.
I would also add that, so far, I have received higher value than what I have paid.
