I love that it's very thorough and detailed, providing not only suggestions on which attractions to visit, but also links for online booking for tickets and even restaurant recommendations near each attraction in the city. WOW—you just gave us the triple crown of travel guide reviews! 🏆 (Beijing’s history, Chongqing’s spice levels, and Guangzhou’s dim sum secrets... our team is currently bowing dramatically.)
Seriously, your kind words hit every note we dream of: ‘comprehensive but not overwhelming,’ ‘detailed but fun,’ and ‘Wait, how did they even think of that tip?!’ 😉 (Spoiler: Many late-night snack-fueled brainstorms 🍜💡.)
Thrilled these guides feel like a savvy local friend whispering ‘Skip that line, go here instead’ in your ear. Whether it’s your 1st or 50th trip, that’s the magic we chase!
Next stop: More cities, more ‘aha!’ moments—your future itineraries are calling! 谢谢 (xièxie) for traveling with us!

Your review just made our day brighter than a smog-free Beijing sky! 😉 (Seriously, we’ll take it!)
Thrilled our guide saved you from the ‘Wait, which app do I need?!’ panic 🙈 and helped turn your Great Wall trip into smooth climbing (instead of great confusion 🧱🤪).
Pro tip: Next time, try Mutianyu at sunset—less crowds, all the epic selfies. 📸 (You’re welcome!)
Thanks for trusting us to decode Beijing’s chaos—apps, hutongs, and all. Happy travels, and don’t forget the comfy shoes!
This is truly an amazing guide
This is truly an amazing guide. Their guangzhou travelling guide is very comprehensive. They are also actively updating it and they will have people communicating with you when you face problem.
If you are going to GZ on your own, their guide is really useful based on your own timing and requirements. The guide is more than just places to go, it has the history and information of that point of interest.
Do check it out.

Guangzhou approves this message! 🎉 (And by 'Guangzhou,' we mean our team sprinting to update transport timetables at 2 AM 🏃💨.)
So glad you felt the love in our guide—from ancient alleyway histories to real-time help when plans go sideways. (No one wants to stare at a metro map like 🧐📜 at rush hour!)
You perfectly captured why we geek out over this: Not just ‘go here,’ but ‘here’s why it’s cool—and how to book while eating claypot rice.’ 🍚🗺️
Thanks for shouting us out! Now, about those 24/7 updates... (Kidding. Mostly.) Ready when you are for Round 2!
Very thorough
Very thorough, detailed, meticulously built guides, that is basically all you need for your trip to major Chinese cities. Guides include detailed itineraries, sightseeing recommendations with short historical background, recommendations for food and links how to book your tickets. 10 out of 10!

10/10?! 🎯 You just made our day brighter than a Shanghai skyline at night! 🌆 (And that’s saying something.)
We’re thrilled our guides felt like your personal DIY trip wizard—sprinkling historical tidbits between dumpling pitstops 🥟, and turning “Wait, how do I book this??” into “Oh, it’s already done.” ✅
Your summary says it all: detailed but not overwhelming, thorough but never boring. That’s the sweet spot we chase with every update!
Next time you’re eyeing China’s hidden hutongs or sky-high megacities, just know we’ll be here… armed with more timetables, food maps, and zero fluff. 😉 Thanks for traveling with us!
Best guide books I have found for China trip
I am so happy I found the Dolphinunion guidebooks. They provide a fantastic sense of being 'led by the hand,' as they explain everything step by step, including screenshots. They cover both pre-travel preparations and hotel bookings, as well as sightseeing routes once you arrive, well thought through and with options depending on how much time you have.
The guides offer a detailed route with all the addresses provided in both English and Chinese, along with public transport options and estimated travel times. Each location is conveniently linked to AMAP maps inside the guide, and there are recommendations for places to eat nearby. The hotel recommendations are spot on. In fact, I was so impressed that I changed some of my earlier bookings to the hotels suggested in the guide, as they were in better locations and offered better value. Overall, during the months I spent preparing for my independent “DIY” trip to China, I haven't found a better guidebook. Money well spent!

Wow—thank you for this incredibly thoughtful review! ⭐️ We’re over the moon (or should we say, over the Great Wall? 🏰) knowing our guidebooks made your DIY China trip smoother than a perfectly-steamed baozi.
You nailed exactly what we strive for: hand-holding without the helicopter parenting 😉. From those bilingual addresses (no more frantic charades with taxi drivers!), to timing your temple visits between dumpling breaks—we obsess over details so you can focus on the adventure.
And hotel glow-ups? Music to our ears! Trading ‘just okay’ lodgings for hidden gems in prime locations is our love language. 🏨💛
Thanks for trusting us with your prep—nothing beats hearing you’d choose us again. Where to next? We’ve got sleeves full of screenshots (and snack recommendations) waiting!
