Great price and very friendly helpful sales officer.

The air conditioning in the Ramada was very cold and the fan was very noisy and could not be turned off it spoiled the stay for us.The wifi was not working for 2 days and after complaining several times an attempt was made but the performance was very poor.
These 2 things spoiled our stay and we would not consider going back.

Managed to book a special deal 7nights for the price of 5, late check out & bonus oz voucher. Booking was very easy with Discovery QLD, & staff were fantastic. So happy with the choice we had made at the time with Discovery QLD. Unfortunately we got to destination, only to find out the pool was closed for our entire stay, was told by The Star Residence reception lady to keep curtains closed, due to cleaners washing windows between 8-5, Monday- Friday, requested a ocean view & was given back view & was told that’s what you get for that price, washing machine left black marks on all white clothing, no contact from management at hotel to address issues, website never said pool was closed when made booking. The Star Residents Hotel never contacted us to inform us of this situation. After speaking with other guest arriving at hotel, reception was telling new guests that the pool will be open tomorrow. We were there for 7 nights & pool still not open. Only booked this hotel for the pool.
Room has double bed, not queen. Poor service at this hotel, will never go back there & will pass on on our disappointment to family & friends. Did not see any service staff or tradies on site fixing the pool during our entire stay for it to be up & running any time soon. Hotel are full of lies. Do not stay here.
Would like to thank staff at Discovery QLD who are trying to get some sort of compensation for this stay. Discovery Queensland staff have gone out of their way to contact the hotel, with still no response. Can’t thank them enough for the free voucher on the buffet lunch cruise, which was amazing. Nice to know they will keep trying to get a response from hotel & show that they really care. Discovery QLD have done their very best & have not forgotten about this situation & continue to keep us updated on the situation. Big thankyou to Melissa for our booking & Melenio for chasing up with the hotel & caring. Thanks again Discovery QLD.

Easy to book
Just wish that prices didn’t fluctuate too much from the advertised price

I went to book and when I paid the next screen came up and said something went wrong. Went to book again and the same thing happened. Then I find out I have been charged twice for the same booking, both which did not go through. Now I am trying to contact someone to try and sort out but all the lines are busy so have left a message

Had to book twice to enable booking to be confirmed. Was a little concerned that there had been a hack and my money would be gone!
